Since I do not remember the names of all the clubs which are owned by the guy, I just tend to play it by instinct. I check the number of patrons that are visiting any particular establishment and if the number isn't to my satisfaction, I avoid the Go-Go. Thankfully, I haven't had to pay a padded bin yet (this isn't a fool proof method, but seems to work).

These are the 7 Bars in Soi Cowboy everyone should avoid like Plague:

1. Rio.

3. Deja Vu.

4. Midnite.

5. Sahara.

6. Rawhide.

7. Spice Girls.

They are owned by an Iranian Guy (popularly called "Arab") Apparently he was heard saying as below to one of his muslim friend (as told to me by a girl, I bar-fined from there, after paying up a heavily padded bill, and coerced to do so by bouncers):

"Our religion allows for cheating all Kafers, so this business model is not disapproved by our religion, And anyway these Kafers come here loaded with money, no harm losing a few thousand to my place, and no one knows which bars I own".

But they immediately also tell me it's a "secret" because they don't want to offend anyone.

I have no comment other than to repeat what the girls tell me.

How is it a secret? I have picked a few girls from Bacarra before and the ones that I have really wanted to pick (and have not been able to) have come right out and said that they cater only to Japanese punters (and not Asian, but I guess Korean will also do). No secrets there, IMHO. The girls are very vocal about their preferences only once you have bought them a drink. IMHO, there is nothing to get offended about, it is, after all their choice.

Stayed at the Tai Pan for a night and went to nearly every bar on Soi Cowboy.

I liked The Doll House best. Very friendly girls and the tits on all of them are amazing.

Bacarra was good too.

If you're a tourist and you enter the Soi from the Bacarra end I would suggest staying away from the bars on the left side towards the end of the road. They definitely jack up the bill. I emphatically said no lady drink at one of them but they charged me for at least 3. When I protested I got surrounded by menacing bouncers who insisted that I ordered the drinks. I just paid and left, and the same thing happened at the bar next door.

Thanks to various members for contribution on Soi Cowboy. Seems like Dollhouse is worth checking out. They have bar fine or only coyote? Cowboy 2 bar has good girls outside sometimes. Cowboy2 has bar fine?

I have been dragged to Bacarra most of the time by my Japanese friends, so didn't check out Dollhouse or Cowboy 2 yet from the inside. Next mission will stop in these two if they have bar fine.

It's true what some guys say about Bacarra girls preferring Japanese. But it should be amended to "Asians. " It just so happens most of the customers are of Japanese persuasion. More than 4 of the Bacarra girls told me they prefer Asians and don't like to go with farang. But they immediately also tell me it's a "secret" because they don't want to offend anyone.

Now after reading this "Arab" scam I'm kind of worried as I'm from Arab background myself.

I'm not quite sure how or why I ended up in this random little bar on 2nd floor NEP. I normally stick to the bigger bars like Rainbow 4. But I had a pleasant surprise when I found a total cutie in there.

She was 7/10,19 yo, nice slim figure and cute face and gave a good performance with lots of kissing.

That's sound advice ActionOriented. I too, cannot name all of the bars owned by the Arab, but they all tend to have the (really hot) Coyote girls out-front. As you probably all know these girls are hired in from an agency and in my experience are just xxxx teases.

I went to Annie's massage at the Raja hotel after having read so many good things about it online.

Seriously disappointed.

#1: The place is a dingy dump.

#2: (Most of) The girls are ugly.

#3: Very rushed service.

I chose #23, and while she was good and friendly it was a hurried session. I was out in about an hour and 10 minutes, despite having paid for 2.

Not worth 2500 THB at all. For a bit more money one could go to a much nicer place like Utopia. Poseidon is also the same price but much nicer.

The only good thing is that the drinks are cheap. But again, it is rushed. I doubt if you can sit there and peacefully drink multiple drinks. The mamasan keeps asking you to pick a girl.

Baccara = not worth going unless you are Japanese?

Are you kidding me? Around 200 girls work there, not all are pretty, but most have clearly something pretty, cute or some equivalent of that. And more than 50% prefer to go with farang. Especially the ones on 1st floor. Just my experience from Nov. 2013 until may 2014.

And let's not forget Soi Cowboy also have Crazy House, actually it is just around the corner.

So for normal barfine (600/700) Soi Cowboy gives us: Baccara, Crazy House, Long Gun, Spice Girls, Suzie Wong and the underestimated Shark gogo next to Baccara.

It sets a bad precedent for any government to be the first responder to bailout its citizen whenever its citizen end up destitute overseas. If the Swede had gone to Las Vegas and gambled all his money away, I doubt the Sweden government would pay his airfare home.

If the guy really wants to go back to Sweden, he has other resources (family) that he has decided not to use. The guy is not Sweden's problem; he's Thailand's problem. If his visa has expired, Thailand can arrest and expel him.

And if they expel him the thai government will ahve to pay for his airfare (and the two guys who have to accompany him on the flight "back home".

The whole story, as presented, sounds like a scam.

He doesn't have the paperwrok to go back home but he stays, open air, in Nana area and the police did not spot him (yet)? Come on. Even after 10 beers I would not believe this.

About 15 years ago, I was in Lima, Peru and meet a guy who claimed to be a "homeless" American who had been robbed of all his possessions. He gave me some strange story as to why the US embassy wouldn't help him. I took pity and gave him $20. A couple of days later, I told someone of this guy's plight and I was told that this guy was well-known for giving foreign tourists his sad story. He'd been doing it for many years. Interestingly, I've read of similar "stories" of "homeless" Americans, Germans, Dutch, etc in Quito, Rio, Mexico City, and Phuket.

It's possible there might be some truth to this guy's story, but it seems more like a scam especially when a fundraiser is involved. Who controls how the money is spent? Is he going to use the money to buy a ticket home or will he continue to stay in Bangkok? If he returns back to Sweden, he'll still be homeless.

This guy's so full of shit. He's looks to be a slightly mentally impaired vagrant. LA is full of 'them. They always have some sort of excuse why they can't do such and such, but if you give them some money, well, that'll help.

He can't go to the embassy because he "lost some documents?" Seriously?

Spot on- - if he goes back to Sweden he'll still be homeless. He was probably the next best thing to homeless when he lived there.

Definitely rail link in then taxi. Unless you want to take MRT or hump it to BTS from rail link station.
