Just to give it a title actually.

Big meetup yesterday with Zimmerbaby (after a long time), Buck Rogers and Charlie123. The food was at it's lowest levels but the project to go out for dinner failed immediately. There's no way we could ever manage to be all out of the rooms, simultaneously, at any given point.

I also find myself regretting some things that I write on this forum. In my early days, I was a bit harsh in my description of a girl. I regret my unnecessary declaration of distaste for one particular girl who kept bothering me at Sharks. Nobody picked me up on it, but rest assured, brutal self-flagellation ensued.

I now try not to comment without reviewing it from the girls' point of view. I can still be critical, but try (and no doubt sometimes fail) to be fair, and not too personal.

And on the barbs front, Diplomat, I and others were talking about privacy issues in a pretty respectful way. Obviously that did not sink in. What a surprise.

Altima, good report. Ignore the barbs. It is much better to read detailed reports than carping from others who find faults but don't post detailed reports of their own.

As one who was there, I can also report that what was "seen" is all just pure speculation. There was a lot of booze flowing and girls were laughing really hard, and tears and running eye makeup could easily have been caused by that. Since none of us were at the table, the scenarios can go on and on and on. Things in Ukraine were not going to plan. Elvis was sighted in the parking lot (again). Currency futures were tanking. Shoes were too tight. An attractive male guest turned out to be a transgender pre op. Who knows.

RB has over the past several centuries seen mongers doing some pretty odd, silly, or completely whacko things. Things they surely would not like repeated on the interweb by strangers who might take things out of context, and once out there, never to be recalled. Shame with digital immortality. So do we post what we see or think we see no matter what....???? RB thinks not.

Diplomat has usefully raised the issue of privacy, and what and how comments might be posted or not. Just something to think about in the future, and thus we may move onward.

I stand by my observational approach. As has been noted anybody attending the evening would have seen what I saw. I reported it as such. There are many reports of the sexual performance of the ladies, which to my mind could be seen as being intrusive but are generally not viewed as such. The ladies attend Artemis in a professional capacity thus their behavior in their workplace, I think, is fair comment. In the same way, a footballers behavior on the pitch is fair comment, but to my mind their privates lives should stay private.

The private revelations of ladies are not fair comment and I do not reveal what I have been told in confidence.

I did reflect on what I reported as I wrote and so did not mention other observations which gave me specific concerns. Those concerns are conjecture on my behalf and so are not suitable for public airing as they may be completely inaccurate.

My comments about both ladies were largely prompted by the fact that both normally seem self assured and in-control. That they had in their different ways, relaxed this somewhat, was I think worthy of reporting.

I am sorry if what I am going to say will sound as if I want to patronize you. I surely don't want to do that.

But reporting about who was drunk and who cried and naming NAMES so that the whole world knows is something we really should not do. I don't think that his report encroached on any rules of courtesy in regards to privacy. He reported on what anyone who was physically there could have seen. Its like saying I saw Jane throwing up at that party on Saturday night. Gossip, but not anything that crosses a line.

Now if it was something said or done in confidence, or in private, that would have been another matter. If a girl had said she had needed an abortion a month ago, for example, and that was repeated, that would obviously cross a line of privacy and decency.

i understand that everybody will define his own limits and boundaries when it comes to reports. i know its all highly subjective. i am sure some people will come out now in defense of 'freedom of speech' which i value very highly myself. but i do believe if there are no rules regarding our reports maybe we should start making up a few. speaking about a certain woman and saying she was crying which has nothing to do with her performance in the room or anything of relevance and it is just put on display for our 'entertainment' should not be possible.

i know i am just one of the many members here in this forum and i am not a long term member and i have not contributed as much as others did. i am only entitled to my own opinion. i think ofc we can discuss or disagree on everything but if we for all our differences can not agree on some minimal form of mutual respect towards the women then this would be a very sad thing.
