Ober Eschbach: Isn't that the "dorf" just next door to Ober Erlenbach? I had no idea there was a U2 station there! Sounds almost the same distance (by taxi) as Friedrichsdorf. Are there Taxis waiting at Ober Eschback you-station like at Friedrichsdorf, in case one arrives via U2 (instead of S-bahn to F-dorf)? Just curious. What time is the last you-bahn towards Hauptwache, in case you know?

No taxis at Ober-Eschbach. A quiet little Dorf as you say. Its a good option for return to Frankfurt only, since last U2 is at least 30 minutes later than last 0:08 train from Friedrichsdorf. If I leave right on midnight, I get taxi to Seulberg, as being in time to Friedrichsdorf is dicey. Seulberg leaves at 12:11 approx. If its later than midnight, Ober-Eschbach becomes a good option, approx. 10 minutes taxi ride. The next U2 station after Ober-Eschbach, Nieder-Eschbach is slightly further by taxi, but may be a good option if very close to last departure time.

I had no problems with the S5 train. They may have caused a few service disruptions, meaning longer wait times, but people were still able to move.

The alternate routes you listed will be helpful to me in the future. This gives me more options as when to leave the club. Were you at the club on Friday night?

Returns are hh:38 (S5) and hh:43 (R15) with maybe some other combination options, but need to check RMV website close to the time. Red triangle used to ark cancelled trains and green circle for those expected to still run. If not staying till the end, may need a taxi return to Frankfurt. Should be possible for 35 Euros. Other good option is take taxi Oase to Gonzenheim (approx. 15 Euros) and catch the U2 at hh:24 or hh:54 last one 0:24 or at 0:44 still possible to go part way and connect to another service.

Yes, this changed a while back, around June of this year. So, now both free and paid food is available all day and all night, but the free food is almost always the same. So, if you visit Oase often, you will quickly tire of the free food and feel motivated to pay for the 10 Euro plates every once in awhile.

I actually booked my hotel in Friedrichsdorf before learning about the strike. If there are some S5 trains running, then I have some hope. Otherwise, I will need to plan for additional expenses for accommodation and transport.
