Or what would happen if I already have 2 people in my booked room, can I still bring a guest (makes it 3).
Also. Looking for balcony hotels, I came across:

GF though? Looked a bit off the main road too. The On8 hotels' location looks amazing.

It was formerly Best Western but now it's the Varee? Any experience with this chain?

Posts: 179I Check Inn Sukhumvit Soi 11/1
Hello,
I visited Bangkok in November ,2014 and stayed at I Check Inn Sukhumvit Soi 11/1 for 6 days. I did have booking with Expedia with a.
Good rate $40 USD a night including tax (1300 baht). When I showed up, the check in was fast and simple with a refundable 500 baht.
BTW, I already paid through Expedia reservation. Here are the summary regarding this hotel.
Pro: The hotel is GF. I only had one short time TG. And No joiner fee. The superior standard room is big enough for comfy queen size.
Bed, safe box, small cool frig. Desk with chair and TV. A small closet and drawer. Bath is good for a tub. The A / see. Is working great all.
The times with good air circulation. The hotel is only 2 minutes walk to Nana BTS and 5 minutes walk to soi Nana. The room is at decent new decoration with good house keeping everyday.
Con: The tape water is low quality with a industrial smell in my last 3 days. I heard some small noise at night due to some nightclubs.
At Soi 11. I think the back facing room will avoid this problem.
Conclusion: The I Check Inn Sukhumvit Soi 11/1 is a valuable hotel. I definitely have this hotel on my revisit list. I received a full 500 be.
When I checked out.

Dear all,
I'm planning for my upcoming trip in just five weeks. I'll begin my trip with a few days in Bangkok, and of course lower Suk is where I want to be. It's my seventh trip to Thailand but my first to Bangkok.
What do You have to say about Aspen Suites on Soi 2?
Thank's in advance.

Due to a grassy median with guardrails, there is no way for a taxi to access the latter hotel coming from Sukhumvit without going nearly all the way down to Rama IV and back, which can be time-consuming during the day. The '16' in its address is its street number, no relation to Sukhumvit Soi 16 which starts across the road.
However there is a footbridge a little way south (that is, away from Asok).

Hot water temperature was not particularly stable, towels a bit lacking. Maid and security guard very friendly, front desk not so, both day and night shifts. WiFi free, fast, and stable. Didn't try the breakfast. Club Carlson benefits granted without asking.
Location is actually very convenient to Cowboy and Asok BTS / MRT. Getting there by taxi requires a fairly long run south to the you-turn before the Rama IV flyover and back, so get off at Asok and walk the 100 m to the hotel.
Personally, in this price range I'd prefer a studio with kitchenette, but the PP is a fair choice on shorter stays when priced under THB2000++ (its prices fluctuate in a THB1800-2500 range).
