Posts: 1192I think so, yes. However IANAL and you should not take this as any form of legal advise.
I am being serious, google the official list (location changes) as you are taking a serious risk (for something that is totally irrelevant, yes).
If you want to be on the safe side get a doctor's prescription for them when flying in.

Priligy is technically an anti-depressant, or at least in the same class as it is an SSRI. Would that get me banged up too?

Posts: 1192Everybody traveling to Dubai shgould google the list of controlled substances in the UAE, antidepressants are totally forbidden for example (I was warning my colombian friend about them).
I once brought over 1 year supply that I got over the counter at a very cheap price in Bulgaria. I may have landed 20 years in jail. Someone else got arrested for two (2) pills for his weekend visit.

Posts: 1192Further to the original question, you can buy here with no problem at all. I am not sure if you can bring it with you without a doctor prescription. I have heard some mix stories on this.
I would suggest you stay on the safe side and buy it here.

You can buy it over the counter from the pharmacy, its around AED240 for a pack of four.
Boots will not sell it, but the local chains e. G. Bin Sina have it in stock, Cialis is similarly available.

Is Viagra legal in Dubai?
Can Viagra be legally purchased in Dubai?
Has anyone done this? If so, what chemist?
Do you need a prescription?
I was thinking of taking my own. They are still in the original packaging from the chemist with my name and address on them.
I have done some research on the internet and the feedback is mixed.
If this is high risk, I will give it a miss.
Thanks.
Ricky.

Are there any massage parlours with Arab girls. Are massage parlours safe to go to?
What is risk of getting busted by LE. Some of the guys handing out cars look shifty. I assume the LE know where these places are, because you find so many cards dropped in the street.
These guys hand out cards in Deira and bur Dubai but I think most girls are Chinese and Indian?
Any of these places in Karama?

Hi Ricky,
Its been a year since I was in Dubai and will be here around Christmas.
Have you been staying alive club recently where a lot of pak / and Indian girls hang out. ?
What is Ramada like for them?
Also do you find them in Karamam hanging out in the streets like either African and Chinese girls?
Whats LE activity like due to run into Christmas, as with lots of tourists, I thought LE would be doing crack down? Is it a bit risky if you are seen talking to these girls in the street as its not like in the west where you are innocent unless proved "guilty" , here they have there own laws.

Definitely not a common occurrence in the UAE and quite shocking to the nation. I stayed in Dubai and took a day trip to Abu Dhabi. I always felt quite safe no matter where I went in the UAE, including at all the malls. Hell especially at the malls! Even at night walking around on the streets. Of course, I stayed on the beaten path in tourist areas. But if you think about it, that's precisely where somebody who wanted to induce terror would probably go. It remains to be seen how the torture revelations might impact the region. I hope there's no spate of violence. Not in the UAE or anywhere. Dubai is such a stunning city!

This would be a question toward those forum members living in Dubai.
I am considering working abroad for a year or two, and was considering Dubai. I heard about some of the very excellent payscales, which I assume will go even higher with terrorism scares after today's CIA revelations. I wanted to inquire about safety for expats living in Dubai.
I am a very well traveled guy, single, and willing to take risks that other travelers would be reluctant to. However, I do like to check things out first, as I don't want to have my head chopped off. I saw the movie "The Kingdom," about the FBI investigating a terrorist bombing in Riyadh. It generally portrayed a modern city, with some neighborhoods full of those who would become terrorists. Its portrayal was that of a city where it can be safe, but that you really need to watch where you go and who you talk to.
Is Dubai / UAE similar to this? Or is it safer? I had imagined UAE / Dubai as a more westernized, international city. I have never seen or heard anything to imply that terrorist factions are rife in the UAE, or that westerners had been kidnapped. And I follow the news pretty closely. That being said, its also very close to Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
Thoughts?
