I've been in Dominican Republic for ten days -- four nights in Santo Domingo, three in Sosua, and three in Juan Dolio. I have two more nights here, and then my last two nights in Boca Chica. I've been laid twice during this trip and have never paid a dime. I don't drink and I don't go to clubs, but free sex is available everywhere. For example, this morning during breakfast, the waitress who has waited on me for the last three days asked me if I was married or had a girl friend. When I explained that I was a widower without a girlfriend, she asked me if she could give me her telephone number. I accepted. She is 37 and attractive. The young woman (very attractive) who cleans my room just did the same thing. I am a US citizen, but I speak good (proper) Spanish. This probably helps me, but I am here for the history and the beaches, so sex is not priority #1.

When I was in Sosua, I saw some of the sexiest Latinas that I've ever seen. I also saw some of the ugliest, overweight foreign men (mostly German) that I've ever seen in one location. I assume that guys who can't get laid without paying come to Sosua. That's fine with me, but, that's not "sport fucking. " It's commerce.

Okay, so I'm curious as to what happened to all the Moto-Conchos that where hauled away. I don't recall if any of them had plates or were registered. Are they given a claim ticket where they can go pick them up at an impound yard.

OTOH, if we were to conduct an experiment on how some of you would react to the same words / information written by somebody else, typically your reaction and response would be different. That suggests to me, that some of you are more tuned into accepting or rejecting posts / information based on your perception and relation to the individual posting. Moreso than what is said. The irony is, I'm sure you didn't realize how obvious it shows here, and so I wasnt expecting an all out showing of brotherhood from you. So whatever you wrote makes no difference what's it's intent was. The basic premise was correct. Besides I'm not a hater.

Not sure how individuals are dealt with once they get to the station. Especially, dominicans over non dominicans. But out of curiosity, I'm going to ask a few moto drivers or whoever knows, what happens.

I've some experience with this about 5 years ago I was driving through the interesction at the supermarket. I was caught in the middle of the interection when the light turned red. The traffic cleared and I continued so as not to block the interection. There was a police (amet) standing on a soap box how flagged me down once I cleared the interection. He caught me driving without a seatbelt, drinking a beer, with no drivers license or even a photo copy. 3 cops jumped into my car a made me drive up the mountain to the other police station. They then told me that my car will be impounded and I would have to go to court on moday and it was Saturday (from what I understand I speak very little spanish). I'm Canadian once there I say 2 Americans that they caught driving without there seatbelt and they were trying to get 5000 DOP from them to let them go. I think they wanted that crazy money because the guys rented a $100 US SUV from the airport. Luckly I had a American friend that kind of lives down there come a rescue me. He knew a few of the police officers and they let me go after paying them 1000 DOP total. He helped out the two other guys but they had to pay more. That was my second trip. I was funny to me because they told me they don't care about the dring and driving. But the red light was the major thing for them. In the last 5 years I've had my car tow over 4 times for parking issues and had to pay to have it released.

Your not surprised because you haven't yet grasped that you can't always correctly judge a person or their intent simply by words on a message board. Words are just words. How do you know you got it right? The person may be a bad writer, or provide incomplete information. The individual reading gives life to those words. Each person embraces it in their own way. On face value, with no presumptions or biases, I understood the statement you wrote as it was written. I can see how that can apply, somewhere with somebody. You and a few individuals, appear as if you have to 1st see who is writing, before you know what to do with the information. Which is quite comical seeing it played out here.

Exactamente. My friend had his taken in Sosua. They don't care if you have current registration because it's a sweep. You walk away without your bike and later take your paperwork to the impound lot. It was really sad to see these guys walking away with their head down as their bike was on the back of a tow truck going down the street.
