    New in Beijing scene

    Hi everybody,

Just got relocated from to Beijing from Shenzhen / HK and I'm having difficulties "relaxing" here.

Since I don't like outcalling I'd prefer finding some safe massage parlours with good and full service.

I only know happymassage as a reference and so far I've only found susie's place but they don't offer full service.

Cheers and a late happy chinese new years.

    Best aavelyn.

Again, it's going to be my first time in China, more specifically in Beijing, and while I am not asking for contact / addresses info, I would appreciate insights from more experienced members of this site with regards to, for instance:

    - Is it safe to go for a walk (I am going to be in the City center)? I don't speak / understand Chinese, by the way.

    - Is it usually safe to go to massage places if I don't speak Chinese?

    - How safe is to go out at night alone, say, to a bar / pub? Or do you recommend going to 5 star hotel bars instead?

Anyway, any help / info for a newbie in China will be greatly appreciated!
You absolutely did not break any rules. Taxis in the sanlitune area will all know the hotspots but it would still be wise to store some of the Chinese names of the places in Chinese characters on your smart phone so you can show the taxi. Make sure you take the business card for your hotel to show taxis. I was in Beijing many times and never once was I pick pocked or harassed or even felt in any danger what so ever. Shenzhen and Tianjin were however different stories for me. Massage places are also very safe, I mean the main bath houses which could be quite big with many customers. However the cost will be about 800 Yuan for FS. You can have fun in the 5 star hotel bars, the sanlitune bars or the local bars but I have always had more fun in the bars where expats hang out. The girls speak English and picking up freebies is always a stronger possibility with the back up plan for an easy Pay for play hook up if needed. I have never frequented those BBS places and would never recommend it. Look in the classifieds and also call up some of the outcall massage places. Good luck.

I have lived in major cities around the globe and Beijing is the one that by far and away the safest I have ever felt! I have walked home from different locations using both main and side streets at very late hours (2-5 AM) and never once have I had any problems. Compared to other major cities in China the amount of street crime (Pickpockets, mugging, [CodeWord123], etc.) is significantly lower. I recall an incident during the build-up to the Olympics where a tourist was stabbed by a man at the Bell Tower. The Chinese there threw the man that stabbed the tourist to his death from the tower.

I speak very little Chinese and have never had any problems at any of the massage places. If you are in the central portion of the city most will have an English menu and the girls may even know a few words of English. But don't expect to have any great conversations. I would recommend that you get the Baidu Translate app for your mobile phone. It does a good job of translating English to Chinese (although it usually has syntax errors on long sentences) and has a spoken conversation translation tool that I use very often in massage places (the girls love having this so they can talk to you).

If you stick to the bars that are frequented by foreigners you probably won't have any problems. Unless you cause them (by being a bad drunk). This site will tell you about bars like Maggie's and Chocolate where you can find girls that will go home with you. But remember if they are wearing a name tag they work at the bar and their job is to get you to buy more drinks (usually expensive ones) and will not leave with you at the end of the night.

Hope you have fun while in my second home town. A lovely place with great attractions. Both for tourists and mongers.

    Safety in Beijing

There have been reports of foreigners beaten by drunks in the Sanlitun bar district. I find the Beijing people aggressive, especially in the metro, but also on the streets. They come at you, expecting you yo get out of THEIR way. Also I've had problems with the cab drivers. I get in the front seat, hand them the destination in Chinese and refuse to get out if they balk. Their license is right in front of you and they can be reported. Can't blame them for the bilious humor. It's a tough way to make money.

    !
Compare to the cities in the US, Beijing is a very safe city. You can walk around 24/7 within the metropolitan area as long as you are walking along the big lighted street. Just do not go into the small dark alley.

The massage places are safe if you agree to pay the agreed fee. You need to ask for the price before any action and prepare to pay. However, Just carry as much cash as you need. Do not show off your cash in the public area.

    Enjoy.

    JB.

About five minutes after you arrive you will realize your questions were a bit ridiculous.

China is a relatively safe city; in terms of safety nothing should happen. Just be careful of your valuables. The worst that will happen is that you may get ripped off.

This is my first time traveling to Beijing. Have some experience with Shanghai though. I recollect language is a huge barrier in checking out the local scene. I usually prefer to call someone at the Hotel. I have always found it safe within the 4 walls of my hotel room. Anyone can share a contact who they have some experience with? Someone who can communicate in basic English. I am staying at one of the hotels in Chaoyang District. Can share hotel name etc on PM if you wish to know. Would really appreciate some help and info. Also it would be good to know what should I pay for a couple of hours of company so that I don't get completely compromised being a foreigner.

    Thanks folks!

    Cheers!

    Simba
Simba if I remember correctly the going rate for LT overnight hook ups with a freelancer would be between 800-1500 yuan depending on the girl. Outcall massage ranges from 500-800Yuan including FS. You can find some great contact info in the classified ad section of the China forum. Please read through the Beijing forum for more specific pricing information from different providers or establishments.

Now Simba is asking for contact information and he can receive it through a PM but it can't be posted In the forum. For all you newbies I will try and clarify on behalf of Jackson and the forum. All advice can be freely shared in the forum with no restrictions. Recommendations on the best clubs, BBS, massage places, bath houses and the names of freelancers. What can't be shared is their contact information which includes email address, phone numbers, and a link to their website or ad if they have it. This information can be only shared through the forums PM system. To access this system you have 2 choices. Buy a paid subscription for $25 bucks or contribute enough information to be awarded a senior membership, I believe you need 25 good solid reports to be awarded this. Please don't get the Idea you can't share experiences, the best hangouts, the name of your favorite massage along with directions and so on in the forum. Happy mongering guys. Looking forward to meet up again with the northern beauties from Mongolia. Great performers in the sack.

Any specific information you need to have the ability to participate in the mail system (PM) within ISG. But that affords you to become a paid member for 19,95 $ per year.

I guess you understand that I and others only share share general info's in the forums. Details not really in the public forum.

    Gregory.
Also no contact info was asked for here.

No contact information was asked for in this post. It is not allowed as per forum rules to post email addresses or phone numbers in the forum. I don't see why his question can't be answered in the forum. Mate I'm coming to Beijing next week. With the recent crackdowns I would recommend picking up a girl in a club and asking her to do what you are requesting. I would try Maggie's, Craigs list and the classified section of the China forum on ISG. There are some great references to some outcall massage places. Don't get caught with your pants down in a BBS, it's not worth the few yuan you will save in my opinion. In the past I had great luck on the China Craigs list and I am eager to try out we chat in China as it is 1000 times more popular than in Bangkok. Check out the high end bath houses as well.

    P.S.

Of course you can check the "classifieds" or browse the forum.

Actually I don't see where he asked for any contact info. It's just the same as someone asking for a good bar and you reply with Maggie's or Chocolate on the forum. This was a great welcome for a new member. I will be going to Beijing on business next week. I have read this thread and it is extremely filled with off topic posts about nothing. Imagine a newbie having to read through all that just to get the answer to a simple question. I'm sure this guy would be happy to pay the $25 bucks but would you want to belong to a forum if the members were like this? Your point about not sharing contact info is a valid one since the forum rules prohibit posting phone numbers and email addresses but the guy did not ask.

    CnY in Beijing

I get to Beijing once or twice a year. CNY is a must, go figure. 3 years ago I fucked this fairly attractive girl from the foot massage place. She just left. She finally got Wechat and didn't go home for CNY this year. She a lucky find. And no, I will not share. But it's out there and it is good, very good. She remembers and so do I.

I have bonked a few ladies at this hotel (Radegast, on Guanghua Lu). They have a great rate for short term. The rooms are nice, and the beds are strangely large. You could easily have a five some on them.

    Never tried the BBS.
