I assume you are asking this because you are staying at either the Radisson or the Renaissance.

I think your best bet within walking distance is Ying Hua Road, it is supposedly filled with massage parlours / barbershops.

I would prefer taking a cab to Bodi or SiYuan.

Of course sauna pricing is significantly higher.

Are you sure, you are looking for a massage parlor? Or perhaps a sauna? So better clear what kind of service in which area you are looking for. The "shop" in Bodi hotel is a sauna, not a massage parlor, so it sounds like you visit a sauna last time and now looking for a sauna again? Or really a "massage parlor", which is lower price, but also short time sex and lower hygienic level.

I will stay in Bodi Hotel last year and I will stay in there again. But no red rope in that parlor. If any body now English Red rope please write from.

Sorry, but I did not get the meaning of "if any body now English Red rop". Means you are looking for a place who offer red rope service? Or you need chinese meaning of red rope? Generally the red rope service has been very popular in sauna clubs some years ago, but nearly replaced everywhere with the "nuru" service. I only know two sauna clubs who will still have "red rope service" on their menu.

Are you willing to spend a really huge budget for that? Shanghai is not a "cheap city" for girls fun any more. A sauna girl here make at least 4.500 to 6.000 US Dollar a month, but she don't even need to speak English, so a girl who can speak English and offer sex service, will be able to make much more here in Shanghai at the moment!

Was in SH around CNY, and definitely slim pickings. Will have to return and take a look during a non-holiday time.

First night decided to try the pickup bars, my only other experience in a pickup bar being HK. Whereas in HK the girls are all Filipina, here the girls are all Vietnamese. Tiny lounge area, no real food or drink menu, and the rooms were lit with that odd fluorescent glow like in an old hospital. The whole place looked and felt like a mainland Chinese hospital. The actual bed and shower seemed clean however. And there were only a handful of girls given CNY, and although all were billed as super model types (the most expensive), none of them actually looked it, at least not to me. Still, I didn't have time to go anywhere else and I was already here so WTH. I picked the girl that gave me the best "what the hell" look. (If you've been to Macau, you know what I mean). Most of the girls are advertised as 18-22. She was advertised as 25, but I'm pretty sure she was pushing 30. Still looked good though, very light skin, good body, and nice boobs (though fake).

She was from Taiwan and I can speak Mandarin, so we had some report. I had to ask for the nuru (that they advertise heavily), but the actual session was quite good, she was really into it, and I don't know if that's just because I was able to give her a couple Os too. At the east side of West Yan'an Road Station you'll find a very dark street called Zhaohua Road. Here the Chinese people live and work. You won't find any tourists here. But you will find, at the western side of the street, some hidden barber shops, with girls sitting and waiting for customers. The price is about 200rmb.
