Sorry you were discriminated against here. What I have witnessed lends me to think that it is a willingness to spend money rather than ill manners or something like that. A place like Red Car disco on Walking Street will bar Indians and Russians. When I have seen the odd Russian couple let in a doorman kept coming around warning them they have a 3 drink minimuin. This is not the case for any other patron. Last time I was in Private Dancer GoGo on Soi 15 there were many Indians.

My first Pattaya trip
I know it is bit late but still thought to tell about my experience and hope it might be useful to someone. I made my first trip to Pattaya last year in August for one week.
As for my background, I am of Indian origin born and brought up in Africa and now an Australian citizen living in Australia since many years.
Hotel. I stayed in Whitehouse Condotel on Soi 13. Nice hotel and within walking distance to Beach road and LK Metro. I paid b1350/ night including breakfast. Now they have increased.
The rate to b1600/ night.
I tried to visit few Go Go on Walking Street and LK Metro but was not allowed entry in most of them due to my Indian background. It was really disappointed as I am well qualified professional.
And have western civilized manners. The security people just don't look at anything or listen and deny entry. I was allowed entry in Sensations on Walking Street and one Go Go on.
LK metro (I don't remember the name where I was denied entry the first time but when I was passing by again, the mamasan saw me and invited me in). Even after entering the place.
Most of the good looking girls were not interested in me. Open discrimination or racism and nothing can be done about it. I understand the reason behind it as most of the Indians who.
Visit Thailand are low to middle class people and they are not civilized. I personally saw some very cheap behavior by Indians which made me very sad. If any of senior members has.
Suggestions how to work around this issue, please share.

Here's my FR from pattaya. I unfortunately didn't have much time left to spend in Thailand, so I only could spend one day and night in Pattaya. I had to see the sleaze capital of the world and to partake as well. I stayed at the diamond beach hotel right on walking street. The hotel is okay, but it's definitely girl friendly. I booked through agoda, but it turns out it was cheaper if you pay for the room when you arrive, by a large margin. They wanted 850 THB total before I told them I already booked, but I paid $36 after booking and taxes. The breakfast wasn't great either. Looked like everything was cheap and from a mutant factory. But it's within walking distance from all of the action.
I walked all up and down walking street several times, some parts of beach street, and lots of the side streets. It's quite overwhelming, even after I've been to all the red light districts in Bangkok, Bangla road in Phuket, geyland in Singapore, hotel del rey in san jose, and other various places. There's so much going on, but it was a Wednesday night, so the talent wasn't anything great. Lots of good options though, and having read through the forums prior to venturing out, I got a good base for what the prices would be, and the good places to go were. There were a ton of lady boys as well, and sometimes it was hard to tell who was a boy and who was not. But it seems like there are specific places that they mostly work out of. One of the main ones being the country rock bar or country bar or something like that. I did notice that the area with a lot of eastern European / Russian women, I specifically harassed hard by them, because I am Asian American. I guess most Asians males come here and session with the white women, rather than the Thais. I try to seek out locals in whatever country I'm in.
