If you're too frightened to walk up Revu, in the middle of the afternoon, on a Saturday, with about a bazillion other people, then take a taxi to Ticuan. It's on the corner of Revu and 8th, behind Las Pulgas. The bar area is rather nice.

The Ticuan is a great hotel that almost got burned down by romantic candles that fell over last November; yes, I was staying there that night. The entire 5th floor was gutted with water / smoke damage. The rooms have yet to reopen, but the restaurant / bar is running regular operations.

Creative architecture added Another floor to HK towards the back. So now you have 4 floors to have fun on. The entry floor, the 2nd floor with a smaller stripper stage, a 3rd floor right above the 2nd floor that no one visits but has VIP lap dance booths. Now they openned another floor on top of the back bar. I don't know how many building code violations they violated, but they somehow openned their 4th floor. It has a low ceiling so I'm guessing there were couples only several feet above me humping away jn their hotel rooms. At least we now have a place to take girls to neck on a crowded weekend night. And if one likes public sex, one can try to sneak a girl up there on a weekday where the entire area is supposed to be closed up.

I have been to Hong Kong a couple of times with friends. Upstairs there are two types of rooms in the bar. The first is the very small ones where I see men take the dancers / working girls and come out shortly after entering. The second seems more private with mirrors and glass overlooking the pole dancers. Would one of you veterans explain those rooms please? Thanks.

Smaller rooms are for lap dances, where the girls will give you a private strip show. I think that the rate is $20 for about 15 minutes. Pretty useless to me since you can get to see and touch any girl for $1 anywhere in the club. The mirror and glass room is for VIP suckers who buy buckets of beer and waste an enormous amount of money to sneaky waiters. In short, avoid those rooms unless you enjoy paying alot for very little in return. They are money pits.

The Zona is arguably the worst area of Tijuana. If you can walk around the Zona after dark, you could do it in the rest of Tijuana including Revolution. Notice the kids and old folks wandering around after dark.
