Thanks Carp. I've been reading that some bars can rip you off in terms of how much they can charge per drink. Is this the case if I walk into any bar? Or do I just have to worry about buying multiple drinks for the girls? I'd hate to walk into a bar and worry about paying a crazy fee just for one beer. Especially worried about causing a scene over a few drinks but not wanting to get crazy ripped off.

Here is a list of the bars to be careful of in Soi Cowboy. There's also a few in the Patpong area in Pattaya (the ones promoting ping pong shows). I don't know all the bars but ones that overcharge are the rare exception, definitely not the norm. Don't let it sway you from visiting random bars you think look interesting. It will ruin your trip worrying about these little things.

There's a few variants around. At [CodeWord901] in Soi 8 you pick a girl and head upstairs directly and the business is done on a curtained off couch (a bit like a lap dance type scenario). At Dr. BJs they have more private facilities. However, if you feel like having a beer and a BJ in a crowded bar, head to Afterskool at Soi Cowboy. At the far end of the bar you can have business done right there. The bar is a bit higher so the action can't be seen from the entrance, but people will be able get a clear view if passing on the way to the toilet.

Based on your comments it sounds like you are looking for lower end pricing. For the typical farang tourist in the lower Suk area that would include: BJ Bars, Freelancers at the BeerGarden soi 7, Streetwalkers at the Nana Parking Lot (NPL), Streetwalkers at the Sukhumvit soi 3/5 bus stop.

Be prepared to entertain a FL / SW lady at your place (nearby) or spend 300 baht for a short time room.

After reading good things about Crazy House in Soi Cowboy on this thread, I went there on a Friday with a friend on my last visit to Bangkok. Since I didn't know the place, it took a little while to figure out that its around the corner to the right on Soi 23 (outside Cowboy).

Anyhow, we got in there around 11 pm, and the place was absolutely packed. Had to tour the place several time before we managed to find some seats. Anyhow, once seating and drinks were sorted, I must say the lineup look rather good. And maybe 9 out of 10 girl were in the nude. And not just on stage, many of them also walked around in their birthday suit. You don't see that in many other gogos, they usually get at least panties on when walking off the stage. What I have heard in other places is that the Police may tolerate nudity on stage, but not close to customers in the bar. Not here it seems.

FS massage places like Mango, Addict, Tulip (all listed on this forum) typically charge 1,500 for the FS and 400 per hour for the massage / room - 90 minutes is 600,2 hours is 800. Therefore 90 minutes will set you back 2,100 if you include FS. Some places provide 2 or multiple pops if you opt for a longer time - 2 hours or sometimes 90 minutes. Generally these places (sometimes known as PSE massage places) have this kind of scenario. There are plenty of other massage places where they do not guarantee FS or multiple pops. These are more like regular massage places that provide oil massage and perhaps you will get an extra for a negotiated fee.

Bar fines are a completely different scene and it is up to the lady what she wants in addition although some bars seem to standardise this. Yes, it is generally much more expensive and more chance of a crap experience than with FS massage places. But this is what some punters want. They like to get the chance to chat to the lady first and have a drink with her. Up to you whether you want to go this route.

Although there are the odd entertaining posts, that is really the exception.
