To I completed a recent trip to Lima and have to give a big Thanks to David. I was able to meet new friends because of David, all were extremely nice and fun and we're exactly what you was hoping for. David is a truly selfless guy who is just interested in helping out and that is exactly what he did. I would 100% recommend meeting David's contacts anytime you pass through Lima.

David knows a lot of girls in Lima. He arranges some of them for me. Even in het weekend. The girls are not the gold digger type, but the girl next door type. Very friendly and normal. If you like that kind of girls you would be happy. I was happy with it.

I just met this girl who turned 18 yesterday. She has a two month old kid, no stretch marks, tight feminine parts, and lots of milk. She told me she is eager to practice her English.

Those guys charge according to who the passenger is. From downtown to Cucardas I would not pay more than s / 6 or 7 soles not $$! From cucardas to miraflores s / 12 to 15 soles would be fair! If the taxi driver doesn't agree with what you want to pay, stop the next guy, there are plenty of taxis in Lima. Don't let anybody take advantage of you!

Greetings one and all. Thanks to previous posts here I went and checked out Las Cucardas on a Saturday maybe a fortnight ago. Was my fourth trip to Lima, though previous ones were short and not really mongering-oriented.
Had spent some of the late afternoon downtown and thereabouts, looking through the antiquey spots near the Gran Hotel Bolivar. The pisco sour "catedral" at the Bolivarcito cafe is really a must-try.
Took a taxi from Plaza 2 de Mayo to the place (had to talk to 3 drivers to get one who knew it, but I'll allow that maybe my pronunciation wasn't the best). I probably paid too much at S8. Area seems a bit creepy, otherwise looking too deserted and poorly lit.
Entrance was 38 soles. I got there at 6:45 pm Or so and there were a fair number of guys, but practically no girls. Thankfully that would change shortly.
Compared to other places I'd been it really seemed unusual. Quite a few guys just seemed to be there to hang out with their buddies, and they had the bar / lounge areas at the end of the first and second floors for that purpose. Beers were S15 and water bottles S10, and they had tons of other drinks for more. There was the sometimes-used pole for a dance, but mostly it was the soccer or the conversation. I couldn't help but think of the contrast with the Eden Club in Bangkok and the "We're not a bar" bit to shoo people out. This seemed like the polar opposite.
I made a few rounds around the room and settled on a 25-year-old stunner from Ecuador, who was maybe 5'10" in heels, had straight black hair down to her waist and wore a Brazilian bikini. Definitely a 9. Cost was 80 soles (plus the ticket from the door, for 25 minutes, she said) and she was slickly professional (doing a CBJ with a condom I'd brought). Boobs were enhanced, though she'd wisely gone for the "C" rather than a too-obvious "D". Thankfully she had enough real Latina in her to let me do a good pounding from behind, and that made the difference.
Compared to Iquitos and the non-air-conditioned, non-fan steambath of a room and girls at 3-6 looks level you get there, it was like night and day. There were at least maybe 4 or 5 others I'd regard as very doable, and practically none down to Iquitos standards. Alas, the days of easily being able to do "dos veces" are largely gone.
But what really amazed was that many guys were just hanging out and not partaking, and even many of the better lookers got to spend a lot of time standing outside the room, talking among themselves or occasionally sitting around the lounge area. I was probably the only obvious gringo there, though I dodn't feel uncomfortable about it. Maybe locals would do their 25 minutes but make a whole night of it.
Taxi back to Miraflores was 25 soles, and the driver took one of those weird back routes rather than getting on the expressway.
Anyway, not exactly groundbreaking but very satisfying, and good that I did it when I did because I had a about with the food less than 24 hours later.

Health attention in Lima SUCKS, one time I went from hospital to hospital looking for attention, I had a chicken bone stuck in my throat, every place I went wanted me to deposit $100 up front! I ended up at American Clinic where some guy in white jacket stuck something in my throat that made it bled, he did not find anything in my throat, for that ,I was charged one hundred dollars! Hell!

Hey guys I'm way off the subject here but since some of you live in Lima, I have a few questions. Where do I buy Insurance for someone over 70 years Old. ?? Medical Insurance that is. I do not trust the Seguro hospitals. And does the insurance has to be accepted at any particular hospital / clinic? Or I can just show up at any hospital / clinic like I do here in the States and they honor my insurance carrier?? Sorry to bother you guys with this but I'm looking for insurance for my parents and everywhere I went I get that they are uninsurable due to their age. Thanks. By the Way the clinic I want to be affiliated is the Clinica Delgado in Miraflores. Thanks again.

From 2007 to 2009 I visited Lima 6 times. I keep up on the Peru board, and am aware of the general pricing structure. It appears to me that while prices in Lima have gone up in MDE they are more stable.
When I first visited Lima the exchange rate was 3. 15 to a dollar, and after that the rate was worse for the buck. The rate has gone up just recently while the dollar for the most part has been stronger in Colombia. I hope that explanation makes you see why I thought I could comment on a question put to the forum.
