I am not from Shanghai and never been there. In fact my first trip is in a couple weeks and I have learnt to go to the Sauna clubs, Judys, Manhattan, etc. WTF? Seriously! Why are you guys fucking around with over priced massage parlors and BBS? What am I missing here?

Used the "semi-in-house" MP at the CY Marriott Pudong a couple of years ago. Never again. .

Semi-in-house as indeed the MP is part of the building, accessible from the hotel but official "separate establishment" -.

Smart way to keep distance from whatever happens, good or bad.

You go to the MP to book a girl, you agree on a rate (already "expensive", but hey,. You know the game at these foreigners hotel, so be it).

After 30 minutes the girls comes in, dressed like a Singapore Airlines crew (=long sarong, pantyhose. Ehmm. Suspicious. Is it to make some accesses difficult? YES! As it can be found out later).

The agreed price rises by something (can't recall), then starts the upsell to extend time, whilst she gives an uneventful massage.

You think that this might lead to more, extra time = more cash for her. Maybe. Good!

Then comes the upsell for nothing else than. He.

Then comes the upsell to access the body, remove some clothing (but she kept the armour of the pantyhose).

Eventually all comes to a (happy) end but nothing to be proud of, given the silly amount exprted in a way, bit by bit (that is the smart way they have. Do not ask for huge amount altogether but get that progressively).

You should find them all over the city, if you are not too near to the "foreigner hotspots".

Hilton is near 5-6 he MPs. . there are at least 1-3 Spas nearby as well. Go to Shanghai nightlife guide. They have them listed. Manhattans is close as well to be surrounded by 50 viet girls that all think you are handsome. Or at least your wallet is. ! LOL.

I would be careful with MPs (Massage Shops) near to the big western styled 5-star hotels. If they are focused on "foreigners", they mostly play the "greenhorn game"! You need to pay 168 to 298 for the massage, and if you ask the girl later for some "extra service", they will start to call out totally unreasonable rates! And without Chinese skills and rate background, could be you very fast pay more for a handjob than for 90 minutes multiple pops in a sauna nearby.

For example there is a shop between the girls bars opposite side of the Hilton Hotel in Heng Shan Road. When I checked it out to bring it online, the girl seriously asked for 500 extra for simply a handjob. I am sure, you can negotiate her down to reasonable 100 RMB, but for newbies, especially without language skills it will be not so easy, so we decided to forget recommend them to foreigners. And I checked out several shops like that in Jing An already, and many of them unfortunately like to play that game.

I would recommend to spend 18 RMB (one way) and 10 minutes for a taxi ride to a "better area", where you get the happy ending included into the massage rate for 238 to 288 and not need to negotiate, so you can enjoy instead of bargain while your massage!

Not easy, Hilton, LE Meridien or the other starwood property Twelve at Hengshan. Both starwood hotels get good reviews, but seems a bit far from the action (nightlife, girls).

Great seafood buffet for lunch at LE Meridian. Great Hotel and only 10 minute taxi ride to Manhatten. Taxi are cheap in Shanghai so anywhere close is not an issue. Not much action near there except for some touts on the street which you need to stay away from. I have stayed near there a lot at Howard Johnson about a block away.

Not fancy but well situated and good value for the $$. Both hotels are girl friendly but at Hilton you have to meet girls in the Lobby beacuse a key card is needed to access the room floors.

What about LE Meridien? Far from Manhattan, but any action around this area?

Last time I stayed at Portman it was not girl friendly. A hassle to get girls in. I haven't stayed there for a few years since so I don't know if it is good now. Check before you book.
