We all miss the past but I wonder if any naive 20 year old is not overwhelmed by the Bangkok scene. Not just the raunchiness of the sex scene but the overall impact of a vibrant SE Asia city.

I think many tech savvy 20's ladies have an on-line presence and offer their wares that way. They get higher prices and do not have to walk the hot Sukhumvit streets. It's easier work for them, and the wave of the future I'm afraid.

When I first went to Bangkok, Thailand was really the only easy SE Asia capital to visit. Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Mynamar are not on the tourist scene and "sex" was the Bangkok ups.

Overall it appears that decline of Bangkok sex industry continues with a massive drop in number of visitors and a resultant drop in quality and quantity of working girls. I truly miss the vibe of Sukhumvit road when it used to be full of freelancers in the evenings, many of whom were actually amateurs and excellent enthusiastic providers in the bed.

Yes it has 3 floors. There are 2 upper levels 'for the more raunchy plainer girls'. As I found out last time I was there and went upstairs for the first time.

Not many places have body slide anymore. I got most of my body slides from Chao Praya 2 in the old days. They probably still have it, but mostly done by buxom girls with big tits. Snowhite had more than 10 girls but nothing caught my fancy whereas mango had about 8, a little better looking than earlier this year. However the PSE quality appears to have left Mango girls.

Baccara in Soi cowboy was sole exception to the decline this time. This being low season, things were slow in Soi cowboy for sure but the girls in Baccara were much better looking than earlier. All three floors were operational, it wasn't as full as in high season so it was easier to grab a drink and browse. Not trying to be a dick, but tourism in Thailand has been increasing year over year. Some years it doesn't increase as much as it did last year, and that's what people are referring to as "decline in tourism". It's only bad for those who invested (bet) that it was going to grow more. EG: buying / loaning money to construction companies to build hotels.

I can assure you, quality is down because there are more tourists here, even in low season, which really isn't even that low if you look at the numbers. Low in the sense that you are making macro level bets, the slightest off on a down trend can cost you all your money.

Not sure when your good old days were. I did enjoy some freelancers 15 to 20 years ago. I think Thermae declined for Farangs many years ago. I agree with most of your comment on quality looks being hard to find, especially in MPs and free lancers. I must admit not having entered Baccara for well over a year, certainly not since the smoke damage. If you say it has improved dramatically perhaps I should try again, trying to ignore all the fake girls. Sounds like they have decided to copy the Crazy House style, somewhat. Back from an extended visit with a somewhat more chastened point of view. I must have shagged more than 30 women with as half as many blow jobs and other than a girl I met in Phuket, a prostrate massage in Jomtien and my visits to Candy Massage in Soi 53 all are long forgotten.

The longer the trip went on the more routine and forgettable it all started to become. What I always knew but didn't fully grasp until this trip is the simple truth these girls are working, it is a job. However after this trip I am now of the opinion expats and frequent visitors will eventually suffer from pussy fatigue and mistake it for falling quality. It was beginning to happen to me.

That said I cannot wait to return in the New Year but will the sublime Sai from the Tiger bar on Bangla Rd still be dispensing pleasure to lost souls and will Tandy with the inimitable the remain my oasis in the mad mad mad world that is Thailand?. I sure hope so!

Unfortunately this happens to all people who have been here long enough or gone around enough. I've been going to Thailand for 16 years now if I'm correct, 3 months a year (yes every year). I do not recall when it happened to me but I know the last times when I was just going out without attachment (if you understand) has to be around 8 years before.

By that time I was so bored of it that I stepped inside somewhere I was only interested in my beer and not at all looking at the girls licking each other. I just didn't care anymore if they were naked, good looking, or whatever. Nowadays I've got a GF / wife and she knows me (in fact we know each other from 12 years ago) and she gives me a couple of days of without asking.

Now, I enjoy more again but it will never be like in the old days.
