There is a Lotus hotel south from Sunshine and yes there are SWs walking back and forth between Jiabin road and Lotus. Never saw any mamasans though.

I'm going to SZ next week, I've been several times but this will be the first time I stay for more than a day. I don't speak Chinese and I am a large black guy 6'2 260. I say that because in previous China experience it becomes challenging.

I'm staying at the BW Felicity, I've read that is a hot area but I've never seen any SW, I just want some tips on where to go for FS? I was approached once by a Mamasan outside the hotel but at that time I was sharing a room with a coworker, and yes I will read further into the thread.

I was never a big fan of Chinese KTV's. While not as nice as some other places I enjoyed my weekend massages at the Perthden. 298 RMB for a hour massage and a BBBJ ending made for nice weekend afternoons, but that was a couple of years ago.

Was it the Petrel Hotel? I believe their sauna is becoming semi-active again, but I did not know they had KTV. Possibly, like some other hotels (such as the Perthden), they converted some of the sauna floorspace into KTV?

Maybe should try some smaller ones next time. Other suggestions is appreciated.

I been away from SZ for few months, before I left xxc were highly active. Now I been back for a month and every time I visit XXCis total dead. No matter what time of the day. I have not been active at all to find girls but I do know there are still some action in Xinzhou and sometimes outside Sunshine hotel. Those are all proper SWs but girls is not pretty at all unfortunately.

What about the hotel next to the Sunshine (I have forgotten the name. Started with L - Lotus? Lucky?), but there used to a FS sauna there and mamasans and SW outside! There also used to be mamasans around the Best Western Felicity. Of course the quality seems to be down all over Luohu, according to reports.

I also still hear about Buji but I did not had any energy to go there to find out, I am getting lazy these days.

In the last 2 years, my only experience with SZ KTV has been the few times when entertained by companies, and in each instance the KTV has been in Bao'an, Longgang or even further out.

Many hotels still have KTV, but mostly only DJ girls. I would suggest sticking your head in some them (Century Plaza tier hotels?) shortly after opening time, inquire pricing and keeping your eyes open. Maybe some are returning? If you do find girls, I hate to think the prices 6/12/18? I hope not. I remember in Luohu, I often used to see KTV girls dressed in their finery leaving their apartment buildings, in hairdressing shops and getting into taxis. This was a sure sign of nearby KTV action.

Luohu / Futian is overall quite dead. I understand that the typical cuns (even XXC) are very empty, a direct result of police action and the usual pre-CNY crackdowns where even the LE want their hongbao.

You won't get into the desirable saunas anywhere in SZ unless you are Chinese and have been personally introduced to the manager. As you know, there are a few discreet small ones operating in places near ShaTsui and Huanggang where Chinese speaking foreigners are accepted.

Remember the fruitless search for BBS's in Buji? The original Buji Town covered a large area. Now some punters are saying that the only active areas of Buji are actually in Dafen and nearby Shawan, but only after midnight. Another wild goose chase?

It's been a long time since I've been on the SZ forum. Over the last few years, the political climate has really changed our hobby.

I stayed in Futian over the last few days and was directed to silver lake. It's fairly expensive at 500 RMB for happy ending sauna. However, all the girls are available for takeout!

I think it's a spot mostly for locals as I did not see any foreigners while I was there. Takeout cost is YMMV to your negotiation skills. I was told by my girl that her fee was 1500 for LT and 1000 if I were to take her out from sauna. If I call her outside of her work hours, it would be just the 1500. I was told by the taxi driver normal cost is 1000 RMB for 5 hours.

Anyway, I did not feel like taking out and didn't have the opportunity to go back. I attached the business card if anyone wants to explore more.

If you are talking about the apartments near the train station in Luohu, it is really getting ridiculous. 400-500? These girls have been 150 for as long as I can remember; 200 if you want to take them back to your hotel nearby. With good bargaining skills, even 100 on site. That said, I've not been there for a couple of years but I was just talking with a fellow monger this week that was there last year at those prices.

IMHO, the pricing in China has gone way over the top. Your SZ experience and the KTV prices I see quoted here for DG are a joke for what you get.

You are probably aware that Xi Jinping did a concentrated and ongoing cleanup of the whole of Guangdong, commencing some 18 months ago; the reason being that Jiang Zemin's stooges contolled the province. For some reason Shanghai was not hit very heavily.

1. AFAIK there are no bars in SZ that are equivalent to Manhattan etc, where WGs, and in particular Mongols, Pinays, Viets etc, openly hang out waiting to be picked up. At one time WGs (Chinese and Filipina) hung out in one of the bars at the Crowne Plaza in Dongmen. but I believe that that is no longer the case.

There is a cluster of expat friendly bars in Coco Park where a few WGs have congregated from time to time. These include Demon Bar, Club Viva, La Casa and McCawleys. Then there is the Aussie Xpats bar in Central Walk where friendly drinkers will be able to give you an up to date sitrep.

If you speak Chinese, then there are a large number of bars in many places (my favourites were in Guomao) where you can often meet Chinese SYTs eager for a fling with a westerner.

2. Shekou is an expat enclave in SZ, and was sanitised years ago. One of the popular Sports Bars there is The Snake Pit, but it has become more of a family friendly place in recent years. AFAIK, The Terrace was also cleaned up years ago (many times). This information is hearsay as I rarely ventured to this outpost of Western civilisation (haha). And I am told that if you do meet a WG there, it is only because she is too old and ugly to work in the more popular spots Like Futian or Luohu. And Shekou is also a fair hike from Futian or Luohu.

P.S. I know that oftimes I am criticised by one ignorant wannabe that, because I have not mongered much in the last 2 years, my information is therefore out of date and useless. What he failed to realise is that I still kept my eyes and ears open, easily recognised WGs, their mamasans and touts, and speak to colleagues. So my information was up to date. If my information was out of date or hearsay, I would write this.

At one time I used to walk though Luohu village 3 or 4 times every day. This was not for mongering (I was staying with my GF in the nearby apartment block Huitai B), and I was going to and from work or visiting supermarkets, restaurants or King Glory Plaza etc. Thus I knew the mamas and some of the WGs in the village, and my information was up to date.
