Had a great first visit to Africa, including 3-nights in JBurg. Stayed at the Intercon at the airport. I usually lay low on my fist visit to a city but immediately noticed some ladies at the bar when I arrived to check-in. Had a shower and came back down, had a seat and wanted to observe. At Slaol, the Royal Park is well priced. R150ST is not uncommon. They will obviously try their luck on the price so you will need to negotiate. There is paid parking but it is often full. I have not had problems parking on the streets even though that area looks very dodgy.

I missed this venue on my last visit or rather transit through Joburg due to time constraints. I agree with you from my research as well it is a note worthy venue. The location though might be a bit intimidating for the average mongerer.

The most I have paid for a Nigerian woman is R150 ($11 US) for one hour, so yes, you are paying way too much. In South Africa Nigerian refers to a black woman from Nigeria (the country). Most working women in South Africa are not Nigerian, they are probably South African or Zimbabwean. In my experience Nigerian women are in the really bad venues, which is why I have never paid a lot for one. I have never seen a Nigerian in a good quality venue, they are just not popular with South African men as they have a bad reputation.

If you sound foreign then they will try to charge you much more, like any country. Depending on the venue, the girl, how you are dressed, your race (South Africa is still very racist) will depend on the price. Really nice clubs will charge you more but the service is the same as the middle range clubs.

When bargaining in South Africa you need to find out the "going rate". Most girls in one venue will charge about the same. Give the barman a really big tip, like R50 ($3 US), and then ask him a few questions like.

"how does it work here".

"Are all the girls working".

"what is a normal price for sex".

Once you have that info then you can start the bargaining with a girl. Don't bargain too hard. If the going rate is R500 then start at R400 and let her take it to R500. If the going rate is R150 then only start at R100. If you bargain too hard then she will give you bad service. Tipping is not customary for sex workers, it is not expected here.

At the top end venues the girls will be asking R10 000 for an hour, in the bottom end venues or on the street it starts from only R50 for a quickie. Most black girls will charge R300 to R500, most white girls will charge R400 to R900 for one hour. Note that some white women will not see men of another race.
