Hello Jakarta mongers.

Have a one-day stopover in Jakarta on Tuesday night but I get in quite late. 9. 30 pm arrival so I guess it will be pushing midnight by the time I arrive at my hotel. I've been RTFFing but can't find much information about what options there are at that time. This is my first time in your city and so I'd just like a taste of what the scene is like here. Any info appreciated. PM if you like. Currently, I'm planning to stay at the All Seasons Tharmin but could easily switch to another hotel if advised.

One thing I'll add to what has already been posted is assuming you do arrive at 9:30 pm, you likely will be at your hotel closer to 11 pm than midnight, assuming you run like a bat out of hell from the plane to immigration (to avoid long immigration lines). or at least walk fast. The traffic shouldn't be too bad at that time of night, and traffic is one of the things that can really slow things down.

On the other hand, if a number of planes land just before yours, you might still end up on a long line at immigration, which could add some time before reaching your final destination.

One other thing is although some people prefer the Blue Bird or Express taxis to Silver Birds for reasons of cost (although a Silver Bird will not cost more than about $25 US to get you to your hotel), typically there are shorter lines for the Silver Birds, and besides you might prefer to go to your destination in a Mercedes than a lesser car. Just look for the Silver Bird sign (near the curb) as you leave immigration and the terminal. I believe it will be towards your left as you leave the terminal (at least based on the door I exit from).

If your going to only monger I would say Thailand, Philippines is better. However if you are in 30's-50 like GF Exp, kissing, BBBJ, tight pussy and possible day game, then you might like Indonesia better (FYI I haven't been to Philippines yet).

I did not like Bats girls asking for 2. 5 kuta short time because she told me others have payed that. Top gun seemed to have as many good looking girls younger and many for cheaper. There are some stunners that are stubborn and will not budge from there 1.5 kuta or 1 kuta price and would rather go home alone a few nights in a row than to take less. I would go for the girls that were hot enough and could take home 500 long time and short time, sometime a little more 600-700 plus taxi. I don't think its possible even with less attractive one to go for less than 400. If they go for less, maybe they would be old ugly looking. I did take a couple freebies but that's a later story.

Don't make the mistake of buying the girl a cocktail 10 us dollars, before you negotiate (I'm glad I did not buy her friend a drink also) There was no deal, she did not want to give me a price no matter how much I insisted, she wanted me to through out a crazy price, finally I said 500 short time thinking she would counter around 7 or 8 but she turned her back on me a called me a because word after I had just bought her a drink, so I got her / my drink and dumped it Ha ha since I paid for it. OK no deal but don't be a ***** about it. What are you saving if you keep buying any girl you talk to drinks. I got good at it where I ask to negotiate a deal before they ask me to buy them a drink, and if they asked, I would say first lets make a deal then I buy you a drink. If they acted bitchy, then maybe its not the girl you want to take home. If deal was not made, sometimes they would look for me later trying to cut a deal. I bought bottles a couple of times and did not mind sharing while negotiating, but I hold the cards at that point. I did not get to hotel Mulia which I hear its great on weds. I don't mind sometimes throwing 1 kuta down on a hot stunner if I feel I will have a good time. I also went to some massage parlors. But that will be on my next post.

With all due respect a few points on the FR:

1. The term is JUTA (Million is Bahasa). Not kuta. Kuta is a place is Bali.

2. The prices you mention - 1 mn for a hot stunner giving you a a good time. Not going to happen. I really do not know what you consider as a stunner, but a little RTFF Will tell you a few things about places & pricing.

3. A deal before a drink? IMHO a drink is a conversation starter, a social lubricant. So the price of a drink is really a conversation tax. There is no escaping it if you intend to pick girls at a club, any club.

4. The opening lines comparing Thailand & Indonesia. Mate, I did not get it at all. What are you trying to say? "GF Exp, kissing, BBBJ, tight pussy and possible day game" IS part of the mongering.

5. It is a good thing you did not go to Mulia, yet. You might get a stroke hearing the prices. A drink alone can cost you 200 K IDR.

Finally, one question for you. Did you get laid yet in Jakarta?

Different countries, different traditions. Do people wear shorts during the days in the hot weather or still have to wear trousers? I do not want to look out of place. Plus, are there restrictions on the dress code during the day at mongering and sight seeing places like only pants, no shorts even in hot weather? Thanks for your help.

It is nearly always advisable to wear (lightweight) long trousers wherever you go. One reason is that you're less vulnerable to mosquitos and other vermin. The other reason is that people will not look down on you, even though you're (I presume) white.

In Indonesia only workmen and some tourists wear short trousers. As soon as an Indonesian reaches any sort of professional level, they switch to long trousers. Even the office boy at my company's local office wears long trousers. Curiously enough, jackets with short sleeves are generally accepted, although batik long sleeve is preferred for official occasions.
