Sorry 'about the delay with my reply, James. I didn't pay 800 k for anything special. I just paid for a 60 minute full body oil massage. Bui Vien is the street where all the backpackers go. It's the place where you're most likely to get ripped off. There are a few diamonds in the rough here and there but not many. If you're looking for action it's probably best to look elsewhere. You don't see any street walkers there. There are freelancers though. You just have to go inside the bars or clubs. They're usually sitting outside to lure customers in. If you walk around on the outskirts of Bui Vien street late at night guys will come up to you on motorbikes (or just walk up to you). They'll ask you what you want and then they'll take you there. When you go to a massage parlor, you will further be given more choices of rooms, this is divided in Phong thuong (standard, VIP and Super VIP).

Standard 1 HR duration.

This means you go into a locker room, you will be given a key into which you put your clothes, make sure you do use the waterproof bag provided and bring you valuable WITH you don't leave them in the locker. You can then use the communal showers, steam room, sauna etc, after which you will be taken into a small walled private cubicle where a girl of your choosing IE you have requested her by number or a girl that has been allocated to you by rotation will service you. There is NO fishbowls in which you can observe and choose your girl, however there is a right of refusal, ie you can rejects your girl and ask for another, they allow this 2-3 times before they get annoyed. VIP 90 min duration.

This means you enter a room that has a private bathtub, private steam room etc, here after using the steam room, again based on your own selection or by rotation, your girls will bathe you, IE she will run the bathtub then proceed to bath you like you would bath a child IE lather you up and wish your down washing your hair, however she will be doing this fully clothed. Its not like in Thailand where at some soapy massages the girls will get naked and join you in the tub naked whilst they bathe you, neither is it like in Hanoi where some places the girls wear a bikini and join you in the tub. However I am aware of ONE place in HCMC where the girls can join you in the bathe tub however this joining style is more expensive than your standard VIP room (450 k+450 k). The cost of a VIP room is 100-500 k again depending on how luxurious the massage parlor is the tip to the girls will generally be the same as the ticket you purchased IE (150-500 k), again as per what I mention, what the girl does as a extra ie HJ or BJ will depend on the type of massage parlor you choose. However its more likely you will get a BJ or even a FJ (though this is uncommon), and the better looking girls get allocated by rotation to VIP rooms rather than your standard rooms. In my experience I see very little reason to ask for a VIP room as I personally know which pretty girls to request and that I find the whole experience of a girl bathing me very nonsexual, and even though the duration is supposedly 90 mins after 60 min massage the girl stops and just sits there talking with you for the extra 30 min.

Super VIP 2 HR duration.

This is the same as VIP only you get 2 girls massaging you from what I am told, I personally have not tried this option. Cost 500 k+, with a corresponding matching tip to each girl.

There are MANY diff types of massage within but here is a summary.

Scam massage--IE the girls lure you in cost 6 dollars then a further tip of 7 dollars then whilst you have your valuables in the locker they will steal from you a guy I know had 300 sud stolen. So it turns out that Nature Mild Spa is the right one and the Google map location is correct (the street name on the signpost is Truc Duong, don't know why GM is different).
