It's true that Telcel SIM cards are cheap. However a lot of them are old cards and not LTE compatible. What kind of connection speed are u getting with your 5 year old sim card? Also you didn't address the cost of 1. 5 gigs of data so your price comparison is misleading.

03-12-16 14:08 #12153There's probably at least 50 places you can buy a Telcel SIM card within walking distance of the zona. The Amazon price is a rip off. In Tijuana they sell for the equivalent of around $8 USD. The only thing is you have to activate it before use. In order to activate by phone you need a Mexican SSN. If you don't have one then you can't activate by phone. If you buy from a cell shop some of them will activate it after purchase but Oxxo and non-cell stores will not. In which case you will have to visit a corporate Telcel store with your passport to activate the SIM. At least this was the case when I bought my SIM five years ago. Originally Posted by BqRibs

Maybe you guys each should start up a "consulting" business to legitimize your travels to the West Coast. I almost took a job in Florida this past December but in the end, I turned it down due to the lack of chicas. I suppose a weekend trip to Cuba or the Caribbean would fulfill the gap. End of an Era
I've been meaning to post this report for the past two weeks, but due to the circumstances, I am just getting to it now.
It is with deep regret that I inform you; my fine feathered friends, my birds of a feather that did not necessarily flock together during this short, five month run; that my work assignment in San Diego has also come to an end. Yes, this is truly the end of an era: the best of my life.
