I have been a great fan of your articles and visited the bars recommended by you. You are a great inspiration and would love to visit some bars with you, just to experience the wonderful reviews in person.

Can you please provide names of a few green apartments in Bur Dubai as they sound nice. I always stay at JW Marriott in Diera which is green but very expensive.

Very Green and comfortable hotel. Stayed in February and March and on both occasions I was never stopped when entering through the front door with my guests I collected from the taxi they arrived in or when arriving by taxi together. Also a convenient parking garage with direct access to elevators.

I stayed in this hotel on December and it's green. I booked a room for 2 persons and when I came back around 2 am with a girl they just checked her ID before letting us go to the room.

Stayed at Ibis Jumeirah and hotel is Semi Green (Amber).

Locals / Saudis will not be allowed to bring in WG, foreign passport holders are OK as long as WG is modestly dressed.

Hotel is dry so bring your own from Duty free.

That's never been green from what I can remember. It's a (very low-budget) daytime mongering venue and those are hardly ever green.

I have the same question, and also about Broadway and Hues. From looking through the back files it sounds like somehow they don't want you to pick up your meal and eat it under the same roof at a low price, I don't know why. But I'd be interested to hear others' views.
