There is at least one cabana in BC. You'll probably have to search back quite a ways to find a review, about 2 years I think. I can't tell you anything about it, I just remember reading the review.

There's an app called Cabaas RD that might be helpful to you.

The only ones that I know off are located in the road to Masiel past the BC cemetery and the Mets farm, about 6 Km from the traffic light on the left side of the road. It is a Spartan venue with good AC but little more. You even have to request a pillow. Price is about 500. Can't remember the name right now.

Top Floor suite. Modern appliances in the kitchen with cookware, dishes and silverware. Air conditioner and television in living room and bedroom. Modern stylish fixtures in the bathroom. Two balconies. Gran Jefe style living. Shoutout goes to Grownman for the recommendation.

The Latin Quarters as it's called now has been around for a while. The owner has did a lot of renovations. Your friend got a good deal 2000 pesos for 1 hour. Their names are 3000 pesos for 2 hours and 4000 pesos all night. They have a few Venezuelans working there. They can be Shady sometimes. I've seen them charge guys as high as a hundred and fifty.

You are spot on. But my friend got a great deal because that's the deal "for those in the know". I haggled the guy down from 3000/ hour to 2500/ hour to the final number of 2000/ hour by threatening to leave and taking my buddy with me. And even after that he tried to take my buddy to the room with the girl and get me to pay. I saw that scam coming like a hanging curve ball. I told him "he was doing business with my buddy not me. But that I lived here and if there was a problem". And he finished my sentence by saying "I know, you will be back to see me". I said "Es correcto". Correct Spanish o no. He understood. And my buddy had a great time. My buddy felt the quality of the chicas were better in The Latin Quarters than the street chicas of BC. The next day my buddy was back on the strip talking to some people. And they told him the same thing you said. That they hit tourists up for 3000 - 6000 pesos.

I'm glad I passed, as my "qualitatively different" chica showed up with food for us to share and then proceed to share herself with me all night. Of course being the gentlemen I am I returned the favor. We were having so much fun together that the next day we hit the beach in Juan Dolio until mid afternoon. When I dropped her off I asked if she needed anything. She said "Of course I do I'm poor". I asked what she needed. She said, "Whatever you are willing to give me is fine". And so I gave. And indeed it was.

In around three months, much of the Dominican Armada (Navy) will begin to move to its new headquarters in Boca Chica.

The 27 Febrero Naval Base has been the headquarters of the Armada for more than 30 years but it will be moving to a new base comprised of four five-floor buildings. It will house the office of the Commander General and all of the higher ranks, and will include dining areas and dormitories, as well as a hospital that will also serve the local community.

There will be a training center, and the whole base will cover an area of 525,000 square meters. According to reports, the new installations will also provide a boost for the local community as apartments for the naval staff members living off base will be built nearby, and a commercial center and bank branches will be opening.

I'm sitting at "Village on the beach" in Boca Chica at 10 pm. The Dominican waitress at the restaurant across the street called over one of the Boca Chica crack heads and gave her something in a napkin. She grabs it and says thanks as she walks 50 feet and is in front of me as I sip my Cuba libre in the street.

Fidelito who is the brown dog in Boca Chica that is on the beach all day running all the other dogs off, and on the strip at night barking at the cops as if he is causing them out. Well the crack head shares her food with Fidelito and the other dog and keeps a bite for herself.

Boca Chica is seedy and underhanded but it's good to see love amongst the homeless.

I was reading TripAdvisor reviews of the Hamaca resort, and NE review said that there are obvious working girls on the premises. Can anyone verify this? Is the Hamaca guest friendly?

Well, I guess the Jamaican cuisine was not good enough. They opened around the 22 sd of January and when I returned from NY, February 21st it had gone out of business. Quality of food aside, it is a lousy place for a restaurant, even if only a short block from the Duarte. Too dark, no place fpr chairs outside and bad odors resulting from people relieving themselves around the area. Second joint to fail in the same venue in 16 months.

I just talked with my folks. James is still open. He starts about 2:30 or so.

Went to DR for 1 day. Long story short girl #1 looked amazing but she was okay. Girl #2 was pretty lousy. Girl #3 stole $60 from me rookie mistake but I had learned my lesson.

I will go back again once I step my game up with learning Spanish.

Mom and james open up a Jamaican restaurant here in Boca Chica. James has been here for 3 years and has never been to Sosua. He prides himself in offering good Jamaican cuisine. I ate there yesterday and he was complaining about every time he turns around someone has their hand out. Not just him. The Italian guy that owns a business also complained. It's in my top 10 don't do things in the DR. Never start a business with an overhead here in the DR. This country is too corrupt to run a legitimate business. James said there's a guy going around that you can pay and he handles all your business. At first he was apprehensive about dealing with the guy but now he understands.
