I hope admin will stop such criminal slander

People like this made me stop helping mongers.

You great mongers also get judged by they guys you hang out with at the board.

I don't need people badmouthing me with lies.

That is, claiming I am being chased by corrupt police and criminals, maybe, is not slander.

And blaming me for being alert and not getting robbed in Rio; for having paranoid security where no new tenant gets robbed by a prior tenant's GF who copied the keys.

Maybe some people want to tell stories about being robbed on the street or in the apartment to enlighten this slanderer that one cannot be careful enough in Rio.

Not exactly the kind of guy most men would lose a nut over. Didn't you ever wonder why he was so paranoid, had Fort Knox like security and always was looking over his shoulder?

Visiting Rio in August for 5 days. Any recommendations? Would reciprocate when you come to India.

Better to bring an android smartphone with google translate. The Balcony Bar is sealed now. But WG moved to Mars bar nearby on the Av Atlantico. You have to just go and sit there. If you like any girl just call her. The going price is 200 to 250 Real for 1 hour. Plus they take you to room at nearby Lido Hotel. Room cost is Real 100. WG can ask you to buy drinks or pay for food. I personally do not allow that. Mostly girls are present from 7 pm onwards.

    Cheers!

    Hey mate!

I'll be in Rio in mid-August. Perhaps we will cross paths. If you've never been before, there are a variety of options and economic levels of mongering there. I'm sure you've already taken note of the variety of sizes, shapes and shades of women available. You should search this board or google Bubba Boy's Rio Guide or Bwana Dik's Rio Guide. The most recent versions are from 2006 or 2009. Both provide a good breakdown and lay of the land. Now, many of the place names and certainly prices have changed, most notably the closure of the mega club Help! Any Brazilian Portuguese you can learn in advance will help you out. As well, an understanding of the going rates, best times to go to certain places, places to avoid, etc. Feel free to ask questions here, but also read previous and ongoing posts over the past 6 months to a year to get a feel of where things currently stand. If you ask a question that has been asked in the last month, you'll probably hear about it from one of the Senior members. It's all just to get you to help yourself first. There's a wealth of knowledge here once you prove your mettle. Have you posted any reports on India? What, specifically are you looking for info on?

    T65

A GDP I see outside termas sometimes hit me yesterday and said she is working at 65 in centro.

Can anyone on the ground confirm if T65 has re-opened in same location or has moved perhaps?-I won't be there till July.

She said its full of older dudes (which is how I remember it from my one visit) and she is moving back to the infamous MV30.

My friend at the time came and went as she pleased, the lingerie shows she put on were incredible, the sex was free and easy every night. It could not have gone better. They provided a great breakfast every morning if you are there during breakfast hours in a dining room. You also had room service options as needed 24 hours a day, which came in handy on more than one occasion. In addition, I got to pick a couple of GDPs by letting them know my interest in them when they came into the hotel client in tow. I had to wait till they were done and as always, I was hanging around the front desk when I got a hold of a big old butt mulatta and a branca with the widest hips ever. The AC could be a problem, yes, it was real cold in the room, but it did not bother me. You could hear the fake screams of the GDPs as you walked through the halls. The freedom of having any girl having access the hotel as long as she had ID and having as much sex as you can handle was really liberating. I am now used to the apartments, but the Priaia Lido remains as one of my Brazilian trip highlights.
The more firsthand, truthful information here the better. It is the fabricated bullshit that some people post nonstop on here that some of us who know better are quick to call into question. I knew an older guy who made multiple, two plus weeks at a time trips to Rio a year and always stayed at the Praia Lido Hotel. They didn't always have those rubber mattresses. Do not remember exactly when they were installed, but remember how proud the manager was about them. Made the cleaning staff's job a lot easier.

Also, to make sure there is no confusion, there also is a Lido Hotel located at:

    Rua Ronald de Carvalho, 190.

    http://www.lidohotelrj.com.br/

That is not the hotel we have been talking about. It always looked like a dump from the outside, so I never even considered it.

I have not independently confirmed this and there might be some hotel benefit in this information, but I have been told by hotel staff that www.booking.com generally offers the best hotel rates for their hotels. May not be true, but is at least worth checking out.

This is not to begin a flaming war, but

What a hellish night. The AC was extremely loud and made the room ice cold and propably comfortable if you're a polar bear. It was impossible to change the AC temperature. When I close the AC the room became a very hot sauna. I remember waking up in the morning, sheets on the floor, lying sweaty on the slippery rubber mattress. The standard might be better today? I guess it works fine as a motel for a short session.

If you are staying for more than a week in Rio, in my opinion, its a no brainer. Rent an apartment. My 2 cents.
Both have pluses and minuses. I stayed in a hotel for a five month stretch. I liked being able to workout, having a pool, clean sheets every day and a first class breakfast. Since the hotel management and staff knew me, my guests were always treated with respect. I also stayed by myself in a two bedroom apartment with live-in maid for a couple months. And, yes, she was doable, but I opted not to go there. There was more privacy but do not underestimate nosy neighbors and doormen talking your business.

Rubber Mattresses Should Have Been Your First Clue

Check out Praia Lido hotel when I was there and would probably stay there next time. Its chica friendly, you just have to pay the double occupancy rate. Came out to like $75 USA.

Apartment you have more freedom, but price wise its about the same when you factor in maid service (clean sheets each day.
I have had many memorable rendezvous at Praia Lido but as a place to actually spend an entire vacation, it leaves a lot to be desired. Those rubber mattresses were installed for easy cleanup, not guest comfort. Depending on the location of your room, the buses screeching to a halt at the red light out front at all hours can impact getting a good night's sleep.

If you do use it for short-term, keep in mind that the girls get a kickback for bringing you in. If you want the best rate, get it before they see the two of you together.

If people really feel the need to obsess about whether a hotel is "girl-friendly" then just call them and ask. Before I started staying in apartments, I stayed in pretty much all of higher-end hotels in Copa, Ipanema, Leblon and Barra. The only issue I ever had was when two different girls told the hotel that they were my girlfriend. The hotel did not want to get into the middle of a cat fight, so they asked me to register one of them. Way too much fretting on here about what should be a non-issue.
I did stay at Cesar Park, Windsor Miraramar and Windsor Leme. Ironically enough at small hotels like Debret they give you shit as with a few of the big ones on Ave Atlantica. Mainly trying to make you pay for another guest basically. Like I said Best Western were fine yet Atlantic Copa in Ipanema def were not and made noise. No rhymr or reason to it.
