The Jomtien Complex is a collection of gay bars in Jomtien. If that's not your thing, avoid!

I stayed at the Siam Bayshore in a double room 3 weeks ago. No problem with girls and no joiner fee!

I checked with them before my stay and this is what they replied:

    Dear Sir,

    Greeting from Siam Bayshore, Pattaya.

In case you make booking for 2 person but you check in alone our hotel not charge for joiner.

Should there be further information or any assistance may required please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Sawasdee & Best Regards.

I need your help, will be there from 9th to 11th September, please recommend 4/5 star properties that are good and don't have issues with getting friends over. Things seem to have changed a lot in the past few years, I have stayed at Dusit Thani, Holiday Inn and never had an issue with getting guests over. In I had a crazy orgy with 2 Uzbek girls in holiday inn but that is a different story. I have been calling up but every one seems to have a joiners fee. Amari 1000 bath, Siam Bay Shore same.

Can some one please recommend a good hotel and please leave LK Empress (its my last preference, seems that you have traveled back in time). Ideally a room with a Jacuzzi am OK with up to USD 100 a day.

    PM active, please guide.
The Penthouse Hotel fits your criteria on guest policy, jacuzzi rooms, and price. It is also my preferred Pattaya location as it is very close Beach Road and Walking Street. The first two joiners are free; unlimited joiners if they are from their in-house club:

Most 4-5 star hotels will charge for a second guest. Have a look at Hotel Baraquda, it seems to be what you want. Baraquda does not charge for the first guest. Not sure about a second guest at the same time.

Try the Hotel Baraquda Pattaya (MGallery), definitely is a very large pool, not super crowded, certainly not a family friendly hotel, and fits in the price. In fact the pool is the center attraction I feel. Try getting a room there on the lower floor near the pool when you check in.Rooms are nice and modern and you won't be disappointed.

    Jomtien area

So after 12 trips to Pattaya I felt the need of changing a bit the scenery, I'm 50 yrs soon so I don't frequent the likes of walking str, discos, loud music anymore so both Jomtien and Naklua areas are the perfect options.

Jomtien its surely more laid back than the mainstream Pattaya, everything is on a smaller scale but its quite enjoyable. Bar area is concentrated between Sois 4 and 7 , some live band bars in main road going down Jomtien big arch and obviously the Big complex. About 50 bars or so, some with live bands especially the ones in the middle. Others are the usual set ups of almost Pattaya bar complexes, pool tables, girls around and plenty of food stalls. But you don't see any girls dancing on stage Same like frog complex in walking street while its less louder.

Even beach area is more clean and relaxed. On another note there is a block full of gay massages and few bars in an arcade on the right hand side going down hill to Jomtien. Its not on level with Boyz Town in Pattaya but Even hotels / guesthouses in that area cater for mostly gays so if you book around and its not your piece of cake double check with hotel prior booking (as well an area on beach sort of designated for gays).

Overall I like Jomtien area, basically there is everything on a quite note, good food, massages, bars, 1 go-go (oldest go-go in Patts so don't expect beauties) ,and girls as well. I'm no longer a fan of the busy crowds in walking street and discos although occasionally I pay a trip to go-go's.

Naklua area (north Pattaya) is another gem, again you find anything you like with less crowds.

In truth, this will probably be my last time. So I want to see whether I still can relive the first time.

    Jomtien hotel

Need a recommendation for a good Jomtien hotel, in the middle of action, with a swimming pool.

    Thank you.
