Ignoring the rather pretentious opening sentence, I think you do make some reasonable points. Yes, we are the customer and paying for a service, but that's no excuse for disrespecting the girls who are (hopefully) giving us great pleasure. Although there are definitely many working girls who choose to do this line of work due to the relatively large amount of money they can earn for fairly easy work, I'm sure that a significant number would rather be doing another job if they were able to get it. There are cheap massage places everywhere once you get out of the riverside area. They tend to have a sign advertising massage for 10,000 riel. I'm sure any tuk tuk driver would be happy to take you.
