Well that's not a surprise. If your smart with your money, The Olympics would be the worst time to visit Brazil. Everything will be crazy expensive and overprice. Unless you booked really early, I seen flights to Brazil for $2500-$6000 just for economy tickets and lets not even talk about renting a apartment or staying at a hotel. If these girls are looking for mongers, I don't expect a huge mongering crowd until maybe next year, Or when they open up a night club like Help. We will see how this plays out. I'm planning on going to Brazil later this year. I'm hoping and praying the Real drops to 5 to 1. And Flights are cheap again. I don't understand how I can get a cheap flights to Columbia for $300-$400 and Flights to Brazil are almost $1,000 and Columbia and Brazil is not to far from each other and on the same continent.

Rio is about twice as far from the midwest USA As Colombia. From South Florida, Rio is actually about three times the distance that Colombia is. This is one of the reason my recent trips have leaned more to Colombia. As great as Brazil is, I dread the thought of those all-night flights.

I think the Real will weaken in the next year, but 5 to 1 is probably asking too much.

It's cheaper to fly from Port of Spain to Rio, via Miami, than flying direct from Miami. Something is up with American Airlines, but I'm too busy with island life to read the SEC filings or annual report.

That seems odd. Never had a problem getting a 4 X4 girl to meet up later for a lower price than the termas. Many times I had to fund the taxi rides because of the distance between their home and Zona Sul. You do have to realize it can be a bit of a hassle for some of them. They're not always big on the all-nighter unless there's a vibe and it's a weekend. Otherwise, they still might have to go back to work the next day.

As far as 4 X4 quieting down by 11 pm, it is definitely geared toward the downtown business crowd. Thus, closed on weekends and prime-time is the hours just after work. Now that's really a Happy Hour to unwind with your male co-workers!

The winding down as you get closer to 11 pm really creates a window of opportunity. You start chatting it up with a girl who knows she likely won't session anymore and see if she's got some energy for a meeting that night. I have had some really good times with termas girls who I met up with right after closing time. We have even arranged a Festa after closing time with four girls who were hanging out in the corner at the end of the night. They were obviously all friends, attractive birds of a feather and one spoke good English. We spoke to her and she organized the whole thing with the rest of the girls. Honestly during major events you would have to get girls who don't seek gringos to get fair price or non-pros or ones you have had previous with.

There are still a few termas keeping prices in perspective like MV30/ T31/ Black & White on the lower scale but it is true they all tweak the prices yearly. Mind you, this year I have found VM cheaper at 80 reais per hour for some stunners. That's 40/50 reais cheaper than normal but that's not general. Still many there charging 130 an hour. Its better to do 30 minutes there to avoid time cheating. Then session again if good. TD TD with low outlay.

Failing all the BS, hit the beach and chat up girls. Plus there is the BR mentality that it's better to sell something 1 x per week at BRL 700 than to sell it 3 x at 400 (less work LOL).

Leaving Dolce Vita last night the cashier upstairs rang up my tab. It wasn't anything crazy about the two drink total but something caught my eye. After the subtotal of 46 reias was a "Service Charge (optional)" of 4. 6 reais. So I asked him about it. He stated "your minimum has to be 50 reais and that service charge covers the difference. " Looking at him like "yeah right" I told him that I had already covered 50 reais when I paid to enter and that I'm in no way expected to fulfill a minimum of any kind. "On principle I wasn't budging. He kept trying to sell me on it but no dice, the he spoke with one of the guys who work there and explained to him what was going on. I didn't have to say a word. The second guy and I went downstairs to see the lady at the door, she knew what time it was and simply gave me a head nod telling me not to worry. She told the guy I had paid already and that the tab was closed.

As many time as I'd been to the spot I'd never had this experience and had never heard of a similar situation.

2. Nighttime place to be is definitely Mabs. Quality ranges, but will find girls from Termas and Barberella there as well.

3. Centaurus is open, but very aggressive girls. Pricing is 640 Rs for a session. 160 is the entrance fee. Usually 30-40 girls a night.

4. 4 x 4 is open (only weekdays), but somehow goes completely dead by 11 pm. Some 4 x 4 girls go to Mabs or Barberella afterwards. Fee is 50 entry, 330 for 40 minutes, or 350 for 1 hour. The fifty is refunded if you take someone before 6 pm.

5. Barberella is 80 Rs entrance and gives you 2 domestic drinks or 1 premium international drink. Also, if you take someone out it is a 80 Rs fee to take out a girl.

6. Taxis are usually 20 to Ipanema, 30-35 to Centro, 70 to Barra.

7. Still miss Help. Was a cool place. Nothing replaces it.

8. Dolce Vita sucks, bad attitude for door people and 50 Rs entry.

9. Mabs is a good spot, usually after 11 pm.

10. Not as busy or as expensive (with exception of hotel rooms) during Olympics. I think the crowds during Olympics is completely different than during World Cup.

Night time spot is also VM everyday. Centaurus is a desperate place now. 4 X 4 goes quiet at 11 cause now many girls need to catch the van or omnibus home at night. Also many 4 x 4 girls go to Mosaico in Vila Mimosa which is about 200 for 1 hour and 40 entrance. (please update). I met a few there recently. Its the club type spot with bouncers down the road from VM.

MC's current tax is 110 reais for entry; 170 for the suite for one hour; 360 for the girl; 50 for vodka and redbull (vodka Internacional and Energetico); 20 reais for a Caipirinha. Your tab thru the door after and an hour session is 640 before eats and drinks.

The "casas" have definitely been easiest on the pocket and the extras go a long way.

Some of the girls will also try and use the fact that you can afford to go there for an hour to hike up outside rendez-vous and argue you should pay close to it per noite.
