I am visiting Madrid for a week (for work) and have plans to explore its clubs, casas, etc. Thanks to this forum I have a good road map.

My coworkers are staying at a 4 star hotel in "Barrio Barajas" just off the airport; I booked a room at a 3 star hotel just down the road, pretending their hotel was fully booked by the time I tried to book as well. In fact, I just want to avoid awkward situations, if you know what I mean.

Yesterday I was just too tired and slept early. This morning (Sunday) I woke up early and tried to do some shopping: bummer. Only small convenience stores are open! They all seems to be run by Chinese and carry absolutely nothing but cheap household items and canned food. I did not want to head off to a suburban shopping mall (those are open on Sundays) so I walked around my "barrio" instead (which turned out to be good idea. Keep reading).

I had lunch at a cervejaria / BBQ restaurant called El Tran Tran. Great choice: the food was awesome, the beer quite decent and. The view: quite a few pretty girls at that place and just walking around.

Later on I decided to try one of the club reviewed here: Whiskeria Estark. From various reviews it seemed the best bet on a early Sunday evening. I arrived there at 9 pm with a uber car in less than 20 minutes (fare: 20 EUR from my hotel in Barrio Barajas). I told the uber driver to go to Hotel Diana Plus (same building as Estark, in fact the rooms where girls live and work are from that hotel).

I entered "W E": no cover charge. That's a good thing considering I wasn't sure I was going to stay if the place was dead.

And indeed the place wasn't very lively: 5 guys (3 already drunk and 2 older guys staring at. Well I am not sure what they were staring at) & 8-10 (mostly bored) girls. No Latinas, just EE girls.

As soon as I approach the barman to order a beer (9 EUR) a pretty and slim Bulgarian (who goes by the name of Irina) decided I was her pray for the night. Not a bad night after all. Damage was 120 EUR (uber, beers and sex included) and I learned something new. Will I go to Whiskeria Estark again? Maybe not on a Sunday night and certainly not before 10 pm, but yeah: it looked promising with its 60 EUR per session 8-9's. But most of all, I think I'll hit the El Tran Tran before going to clubs (who knows, maybe I'll get lucky).

As far as clubs go, you're in luck. There many in the Madrid centro area (like right of the main gran via street-way). These are definitely more expensive than the 3 main ones further from the city center (flowers, air and whiskeria). Expect 100-120 euros for half an hour plus room and it's going to be the more aggressive buy me drink stripclub like pricing horseshit. But they are def hot girls. If you go to the clubs outside the centro (like 15-20 km from the center), you'll pay 60-80 for a half and more chill. I recommend whiskeria for the absolute best price in probably all of Spain. Which I value since I can sleep with 3 chicks there for the price of 1 or 2 anywhere else. But go to one club and if you like, go to another, that's quite fun I think. They're all open until 4-5 am and you can start as early at 10 pm. Taxi between them with be like 25+ euros, drinks at them is like 10 euros.
