The BGs, many even in HK, will not get 10 fichas. And the other bars, like BG, CC, I seriously doubt if they get 2-3 fichas a shift.

Yeah, I had no idea about that, but it makes sense. I remember seeing a boss in Andelitas one time. It was obvious that he was, an old guy that just had much power, and I watched him point to a chica and go upstairs with her. When he came back, I asked looked at him and said "Jefe? He only nodded.

If there was still some good action left in SD I never return to Tijuana. Be ack in the 80' s and 90's the prostitution scene most of the girls were independent and the cops did not cracking down nearly as much. Today the cops harass you for merely pulling over for a SW.

I never fucked any SD hookers back in those days, but the club scene was great all around the city. Then they conspired to close them all and open that shit stain "Gaslamp" downtown. That way they can contain you and keep all the tourist / party money in one part of town. No fucking parking, police all over, and thru the roof prices. FUCK California! FUCK THE USA! Yes it seems like girls are exploited by all sides and this truly a tragedy. It's shame that there was a way to clean up Zona and get rid of all the abuse that occurs down there. Yep. Mongers are far more likely robbed, beaten, choked, even stabbed by rateros, than being shot at by drug dealers. Drug dealers only shoot guys to take over territories to sell or smuggle drugs, not just to have fun.

The walk on Calle 1, then the Arc, then Liberty path to Ped West, has a lot of closed up chops and is dark and deserted at night. There are many druggies and homeless deportees living in the alleys and on the river banks, and there are no police patrols in that area. The chance of getting robbed and beaten is probably highest in that area. Walking to Ped West at night is not recommended unless you are walking with 3 or 4 beefy guys.

The walk from the taxi stand to Ped East is also dark, but I have seen groups of 3, 4 or 5 foot patrol cops on that walk just about every time I was doing it. When walking at night, the bros should hold on to something hard and sharp in their pocket, and get ready for a fight for their lives when confronted by rateros.

The ratero's are the main thing to be concerned about in Tijuana and the Zona. Police corruption does appear to be on the rise again. I met someone in SD that told me that was leaving the casino and the cops pulled him out of a cab and robbed him. Just recently there was a report that some bandto's tried to rob someone late at night by the Arch. The pedestrian street that heads east to canal bridge is poorly lit and there is not enough police So I would urge everyone to use due caution. When I am in the Zona I always look to see who is behind me when there is not other people around.

That area is heavily patrolled especially at night by all sorts of Mexican army, Policias Federals, Policias Municipale, Policias Auxiliare, undercover policias and who knows what else. The 2 guys who shot up Coahuila with their AR-15's were quickly arrested by Policias Federale.

Violence in Tijuana seems to be specifically targeted between drugs dealers and traffickers fighting for turfs. In terms of random violence and street crimes, La Zona Norte in Tijuana is probably not worse than downtown San Diego, LOS Angeles or Riverside.

I would stay away from the drug dealers selling in the alley, in front of hotel Cascada's back door and Caliente. Don't hang out in the alley more than you have to, especially during the day time when policias patrol is weak. You are safer inside the clubs where the security guards and meseros are quick (their jobs supposedly) to protect the clients. Adelita always has an armed Policia Commerciale at its door; HK only occasionally. While inside the clubs, stay away from the main door ways. Sit in the middle of the clubs or sit upstairs and get ready to drop to the floor, just in case, the shooting starts.

There are reports of escalation in violence, but nobody knows for sure if it will get worse, expanded or protracted.

Things seem to be headed downhill in Tijuana. September was the deadliest month so far of 2016 with almost 90 murders in the 30 days of that month and over 500 murders so far this year 2016. It is something to be concerned about.

I remember when I applied for the passport card, I was told it was good for border the countries Canada and Mexico by walking or driving only but Puerto Rico it could be used by ship or plane.

I use my passport card when I fly to other cities in Mexico.

But are you flying from Mexico to a USA City? My understanding is, the passport card is not valid for international entry to the USA Even from Mexico or Canada, nor for an international air departure from within the USA But you can use it as a valid USA ID between cities WITHIN Mexico.

But, you could drive/walk/take a bus from the U.S. into TJ, and then take a flight from TJ to other destinations in MX, such as Cabo, or Cancun. And then when returning, you need to fly back to TJ, and then do a land crossing back into the US.

NBC San Diego reported snipers fired first. 3 turista policias responded to the gun shots got shot themselves.

This makes more sense. The snipers did target someone on Coahuila and fired first.

La Zona now is an exotic battle zone, crawling with gangsters toting sniper rifles, and hot, sexy chicas in short, short skirts showing off their damp, steamy crotches, hanging loose on sidewalks.

Two men, including a United States citizen, were arrested after a shooting in Tijuana that killed one officer.

Authorities say that the weapons used in the attack were brought into Mexico from the USA.

Two officers responded to reports of shots fire at the corner of de Coahuila and Constitucion in Zona Norte on Saturday morning, and were met with gunfire from a vehicle.

One officer was killed in the shooting and two others suffered bullet wounds to the upper torso. The condition of the two injured officers is unknown.

The two suspects fled the scene but were arrested shortly after and found in possession of two firearms.

These Mexican gangsters may not be educated with the classics, casually discussing Homer, Plato and Shakespeare while on top, screwing their fat GF's, but they cannot be so stupid and irrational to drive around Coahuila, well-know to be heavily patrolled by many layers of cops and Army, with loaded assault rifles.

To do that much work and take that much risk, they had to have a very important assignment.

Looks like US gang sent a guy down to partner up with a local Mexican to ambush and shoot some guys on Coahuila. It could be easier to go after the target on foot with hand guns, but they must have expected heavy resistance and difficult get away, so they came in a car with assault rifles, lots of ammos, sniper scopes and all.
