You have things basically correct. A few things I would add:

Stay by the clock tower? Not a lot of places right there. No nice hotels that I know of, a couple of 1 hour places but that's is all I have seen. The nicer hotels are closer to Plaza Santa Domingo and areas running a bit closer to the water if you wanted to stay inside the old city. Most people that I know myself included prefer to stay out in Bocagrande.

The place to stay is (said many times already): A rented apartment in Bocagrande. Why?

1) there are fantastic boutique hotels in El Centro, but they will never let you bring a girl to your room, not to speak about a different one every night. Book them if you have a super girl you want to impress;.
2) Bocagrande is 5-10 minutes and 7 k away by taxi.
3) apartments in Bocagrande are good.

As Yippie said Tu Candela has a reputation for having some working girls inside (and they do) there are just not that many of them. But just step outside and you can see the girls right there by the clock tower.

Correct. There are, but often the same ones who were outside earlier in the night.

I book Avianca tickets on almost a monthly basic just using kayak.com. Super easy and if booked ahead can be ridiculously cheap.

When I tried, I found the same prices on avianca.com then on other booking sites. Avianca was used to put a lot of problems with cards issued out of Colombia, but not anymore, at least in my case (European VISA or Mastercard). Be sure that you selected the correct web site (there are different sites for different countries or regions).
Prices were a lot different in the past, for those connecting from USA or Europe versus for those in Colombia (I remember when a call center operator insisted to ask me where I was in that moment. I said "Medellin", but I was in Europe, then I got the lowest price. Those times are gone).

First, have a look at the list, not just this thread. You'll discover a whole new world (not everything is up-to-date or correct, but yet it's a wealth).

LDV is a disco bar, where all girls are working girls. You know that (and you have all eyes on you when you enter). It's not a strip bar, but yes you can start watching girls.

Forget ISIS.

If you want to go out of the town and do not mind to take a taxi, you can try Pley Club (LOL, yes written like that), but do not forget there is also Casa del Rocio. Those who are really adventurous, can venture to the bars at Bomba del Amparo, but it's not for everyone and certainly aimed to locals.

Tu Candela? See above, but then consider also VIP and EIVISSA in the same Plaza.

You want something more upscale? Try Babar and Fragma, but only on Friday and Saturday, and be careful: only few girls may be working. Most are accompanied by their handsome friends.

Okay so I know how it goes around here, I've RTTF a lot and went back over most twice LOL. Anyway, I think I've got all the info anyone could possibly need. So instead of asking for info, I thought I'd just ask if my current intel is all correct? Here's my current notes.

So that's what I've taken from RTTF LOL. Is this all a newbie needs to know? I didn't get any prices for Isis, Pley Club & Bar Tu Candela but that's not really important I guess. But I definitely don't want to be the guy overpaying and raising the price. So if my numbers are off, let me know. I'm also trying to add Medellin into the trip but I'm having the worst time trying to book on the Avianca Colombian site with my US card. Anyone have these issues? I'll definitely write a report when I return. I like how the Cartagena forum is not full of clutter, so I'd love to contribute. Thanks in advance.

One of the girls I met this week in CTG (I am just back to my home country) told me that yesterday the immigration police came to check foreign girls at Reloy. 6 (six) girls from Venezuela were found without regular stamp on passport and taken for immediate deportation. Considered the high number of girls I have spoken with there, also offering beers in a variety of cases, it is highly probable I know some of them. Gosh.

Girls without stamp on the passport are those who passed the border out of regular immigration gates. Overstay is possible, but less common. It looks like there are plenty of such places along the long border line between Venezuela and Colombia.

This time, I have seen a lot more girls from Venezuela than even one month ago. As a matter of fact, the situation there is very difficult. Even those with money have problems in finding products at markets. I went there more often and more times than most people reading here, I guess. Last time today around 7 pm.

I don't argue your opinion about LDV. I don't disagree! I don't like to waste money (I don't have) and I never liked LDV, specifically. I've never been a regular patron there.

I was commenting those people who think they can go to a bar, exploiting (not using) the resources, grab a girl, and all this for a 10k bill. Who is the owner? A charity manager?

About Calle de la Media Luna, it changed a lot in the last 10 years, but still fits what I wrote: it's where all those on a tight budget go to have a drink at night (not to find a girl, which is never cheap in CTG). It's not anymore a den of ladrones and dubious characters, but it's where all backpackers and budget travellers stay.

Don't take me wrong, I like it! There are some very nice places to have a drink, stilish and cozy, but mixed with bars full of young backpackers and even a bar patronized by local reggaetoneros. Some girls working at Plaza del Reloy stay at cheap hostales on Calle de la Media Luna and nearby alleys.

If one likes a cheap fuck with a fattie black not-so-young girl, there is still the group of SW waiting at beginning of the street, in front of the Parque.

I'm open for tips on dealing with the touts, Tony included. Last time I got fucked as per my report. For 2 beers, a pina colada, and breakfast the tout asked for 125 k. I think somewhere in there is a commission for calling a girl. The breakfast he just got from across the street. This wasn't in Playa Hollywood but the beaches in Boca grande. Maybe 125 k wasn't so bad. The regular vendor touts who sell crap were insane. One vendor on Playa Blanca tried to sell me and the girl a couple of stupid bead bracelets for 60 k. He'd been watching our stuff for a half hour while we went Jet Sking so I paid him 50 k for everything but I still thought he was out of his god damn mind.

I'll say this much. Stay the fuck away from Playa Blanca. It's crowded and full of touts who won't give you 2 minutes of peace. I'm going to try the islands next time I'm there.

The other touts will get you a chica if you don't spot any yourself. I didn't need to go to Playa Hollywood to get a daytime chica. Never met Tony who sounds like a nightmare.

I think the ones you see walking the beach just got done with a client and decided to walk around to see if they can get another.
