To you guys wondering about the exact entry paper rules, I will tell you the truth. The guy or lady at the desk will do whatever they feel like doing, including filling out a complete form or just waving you on. They are more likely to wave you on if they see previous entry stamps on your passport. They know what's up. When they ask 'where are you going' you just say Tijuana, when they ask how long you just say 'one day'.

There is no 7-day pass that allows multiple entries, it is the same free paper you get coming just for the day, it allows ONE entry and you can stay up to 7 days depending on what you told the guy. If you leave Mexico and come back, the rule is you will need a new one.

By the way, when you come back to the USA and the agent asks what you were doing in Mexico, just save time and tell the the truth, 'I went to see the clubs.' They know what's up too.

Finally, the US dollar has hit new highs against the peso, about 20 to 1. If you're paying with dollars I would not pay any more than $60 plus the room for a half hour these days, even at the Hong Kong club.

Except that you probably can't get any of the better chicas at Hong Kong for $60 on a weekend these days. But you probably can for 1000 pesos (which is just $50). Crazy, I know, but the fact is, you should pay in pesos to get maximum value. But I don't really do HK at all because the economics are not favorable, nowadays, I'm all about the Street chicas, for 250 p + the room for a sin-ropa quickie, or 500 p + the room for a half hour with the normal extras. My normal excursion to the zona now, in the era of 20 pesos to the dollar is to come during the daytime on a weekday, park for free in the street, exchange some dollars for pesos at a cambio, walk into the zona, scout the paraditas for talent, do a quickie with one, probably a new one for market research purposes, then do a longer session with one of my favorite regulars, then walk back across the border. Total expenditure, typically 850-900 pesos for two paradita chicas, plus about $6 bucks worth of gasoline driving to and from Tijuana from my home around Poway. All in all, a great way to kill an afternoon, spend $50, get some exercise walking about 4-5 miles, get laid twice, and I'm good to go. As long as the paraditas keep their peso rates at the 10-1 levels, but the FX is really 20-1, I can't see a reason for doing anything else. No Sosua, DR, no Costa Rica, no Brazil, no Indonesia, no Phils, no Thailand. No long, costly, cramped flights, Just allocate $50, a half hour each way drive to my house, get laid twice by cute chicas less than half my age, go home, sleep in my own bed, rinse and repeat, any damn time I feel like it. Which has typically been about twice a week on average over the course of the last few months.

Based on my personal experience from November, even though the free 7 day pass is clearly marked for a single entry, it is accepted for multiple entries within the 7 day period. In fact, the desk agent didn't want to sell me a 180 day visa while I still had time on my 7 day visa.

The entry agent checked the date on my visa about half the time.

This varies by the agent. I've had several that let me pass on an existing 7 day pass, but a couple of weeks ago, I had an agent that didn't, and who made me give up the 7 day pass and then wrote me a new 1 day pass that expired 2 days earlier than the existing 7-day pass did - even though the agent that wrote me the 7 day pass earlier in the week had told me I could use it for multiple entries. I probably should have just walked through on the left side, rather than going to the booths on the right side - which I only did because there wasn't any line at all on that side.

I don, t get stopped by the agents that know me. I have 180 day visa. New ones stop me often. I am VERY GRINGO. I cross 4 times a week.

I used the PedWest again on Sunday morning 12/18 around 10.00 am. The lines are no longer shorter. They were longer than the lines I had seen at PedEast. Both General and Ready lines were long.

I did cross into Mexico on PedEast in the Mexican side on 12/15. I saw a Mexican Immigration officer at the end with enough space for a single person to pass next to him. A young gringo maybe in 30's ahead of me and he showed his visa pass to the Mexican guy. I said, I am going to be screwed. I kept walking and when I reached the Mexican Immigration guy, I said Buenas tardes and walked right past him. Shit. Next time, I am going to be stopped. I have walked through 6 times without visa and one Mexican immigration guy is going to stop me sometime. The end is near!

Dang, normal non holiday rate for adalita is 60 usd.

The longest I've seen at ped west was two lines with maybe 5 people each and two officers. But that's 10 pm and not 10 am.

The new PedWest is much closer to LZ than the (still operating) PedEast. In daylight hours I would recommend not getting a taxi, and just walking there in 15 to 20 minutes from LZ. You would take the pedestrian walkway east from the Arch. Once you use the foot bridge to go over the Tijuana River, walk another 200 feet or so (about 70 paces) and the entrance is on the left.

Room was not included. One hour room was $24.00.

FlapJack. The new PEDwest location is located, how to describe this, behind the old McDonalds where you hit up the pharmacy. Looking at the old McDonalds go right a block then left (you will see, actually cross paths with, the new bridge over the 'sewage' river / canal) just follow that back a block north west and you can't miss the entrance of the new PEDwest.

It has been awhile since going to Tijuana. Maybe 6 months. I'm getting lazy and tired of the hassle I guess but it was well worth it. Arrived around 5:15 PM San Isidro and waiting an hour to park in the 7 dollar parking lot behind the jack in the box. I sure wish there were more reasonable parking choices but I'm not paying $30+ dollars for parking.

After parking, easy walk across the border. Walked over to the pharmacy near where the McDonald's use to be, bought some Viagra and antibiotics.
