Sunday's alright in the afternoon. It's a *****(female dog...word edited by Big Brother) crossing the border back into the US on Sunday's since all the weekend warriors who've been in Baja all weekend are making their way back as well as all the nationals who spend the weekends with their families but live and work in the US during the week.
My suggestion is to park your car on the US side of the border. When you go back, take a bus. Buses leave from the Mexicoach station at 7th and Rev (near the Jai Alai) as well as First and Madero. You can sleep on the bus while you wait to cross the border. I believe the last buses to the border leave around 8 PM but you gotta check to make sure. I think their website is www.gototijuana.com ... I'll check it out to verify and post later.
The other alternative is to rent one of the bicycles for five dollars. I don't know how late the bicycles are rented out. And, before you rent a bike, see how the line walking is. It may not be that bad.

StWalkinCheetah, my usual m.o. is to arrive in TJ in the afternoon, and hang out at the Isis or Unicorn, to watch the dancing, although most of the girls are 2-5 range there is usually at least one who is a 7 and will go to the room for $30-40. Hacienda in Playas is a half hour drive to La Zona Rosa. It is a nice hotel but not in the neighborhood. You can take girls there but I don't think any operate out of there. There is a bar but like I said it isn't really that type of joint.
I don't know what the primary mission of your trip to TJ is but if it is to enjoy our hobby then I would can the Hacienda in Playas and get a place that is closer to the action, if not directly in it. They probably won't be as nice as the Hacienda but you'll only be there a short time anyway.

Always be cautious. The best way to avoid getting ripped off is to keep aware and use safety measures.
When I go I keep most of my money in a discreet ankle wallet that I remove in the bathroom and place in my sock when I am with a girl so she can't see me handling it. I also have a pocket wallet where I keep a minimum amount of spending money for drinks and tips. I also stash a little more cash loose in a buttoned shirt pocket when I am in the club to pay the girl.
Now, a friend of mine wears cargo shorts under his pants that have all these pockets with buttons so his money is pretty safe. Another guy I know has this ID wallet that hangs around his neck that is hidden under his shirt. There is also a version of the ankle wallet that you can wear as an armband under your shirt.
As was said previously, most of the people at the CC and AB (in my experience) are not looking to rip you off but it is always best to keep an honest person honest... reduce the opportunity! Also, for the few sharks out there trying to pick pocketswhen it is busy, make it almost impossible to them to snake your shit while your are hunting in the sweaty crowd.

if you are going to spend any time in tj it's a good idea to do some money management. a money belt is not necessary, but good insurance. spread your money around, separate from your wallet. wear clothes with lots of pockets. small bills is a good idea. ab is generally low risk, but i have had my pocket picked there. other places in zn, such as the kinkle area, are as bad as rev which is much more of a problem - both in the clubs & on the street. be careful of anyone getting too close too fast, like little girls trying to sell you flowers.

Anyway, B-Bone...try Thursdays. Many of the girls that will be there on the weekend work on Thursdays also. There have been many posts in the past concerning this. Anytime after 2 in the afternoon should have a good number of girls there. Thursdays aren't that crowded and it is easier to bargain down the girls. On Fridays and Saturdays you usually gotta go with the 50/60 since the girls can get that.Also, since there aren't as many customers on Thursdays, there is less of a chance that the girl you choose will be all fucked out by the time you get her.
