I've honestly seen apartments in Bocagrande on airbnb for $75 a night with AC. They didn't look great though. I'm fine paying $125 a night for a nice place facing the sea. Hotels? Don't bother. None of them look especially worth it.

It is significantly cheaper to visit a casa in Bogota or Medellin. You can go to casas in Medellin and pay 60 k for an hour (but it's likely a real shit hole). The higher end ones go up to 120 k+ for an hour (Energy for example). But these are brothels. You go in. You slip on a condom. You usually get a mechanical treatment.

If you go to the back pages in Medellin you're looking at 150 k to 200 k. Recent posts in the Medellin thread mentioned 150 k for girls at the Mansion up to 200 k. Of course we're seeing reports of people paying significantly more but whatcha going to do.

In Cartagena at the clock tower you're looking at 150 k to 200 k for an hour. If you have game you can probably get significantly less should you wife up. My friend went to Cartagena from Bogota and suffered sticker shock. Instead of nice places like Pussy House you have every girl in the street asking $200 k and settling for $150 k maybe. The heat means your hotel should have air conditioning which adds maybe $30 per night to the cost. Why not recognize that Cartagena is a ripoff, or if not, simply that it is way more expensive than Bogota or Medellin for women? It does have old forts, ambiance and a sort of a beach. But for that I go to Livingston, Guatemala.

Did I say I did not counter offer 150 k? I did, in all cases. And, in most cases, I changed girl until I found one I liked and accepted 150 k. Still, the majority I "interviewed" stuck to 200 k. Isla Baru and Playa Blanca have become filled with vendors now from what I've heard. If you want peace and quiet, try the beaches at Castillogrande. There are vendors there too but not nearly as many as the beaches in Bocagrande.

Given the dynamics of the relationship with a working girl, that's pretty common. In my years of mongering in Latin America I've only met one provider who didn't ask for cash when I was away. You should set limits you are comfortable with early on and always explain them as a positive.
