I've honestly seen apartments in Bocagrande on airbnb for $75 a night with AC. They didn't look great though. I'm fine paying $125 a night for a nice place facing the sea. Hotels? Don't bother. It is significantly cheaper to visit a casa in Bogota or Medellin. You can go to casas in Medellin and pay 60 k for an hour (but it's likely a real shit hole). The higher end ones go up to 120 k+ for an hour (Energy for example). But these are brothels. You go in. You slip on a condom. You usually get a mechanical treatment.

If you go to the back pages in Medellin you're looking at 150 k to 200 k. Recent posts in the Medellin thread mentioned 150 k for girls at the Mansion up to 200 k. Of course we're seeing reports of people paying significantly more but whatcha going to do..

This was a good read. I've read quite a lot of pages on here and it seems that if you have a bit of game, you will do well in Cartagena and Medellin. I quite fancy the idea of wifing up with girls a day here or there. Wouldn't mind having two to myself and stay with me when I visit in September. Is bareback common?

I missed this thread. So I had a tout take me to the "new" LDV only to realize it is not so new. A girl confirmed that the LDV in Laguito closed and this was the new one. However, this place existed around the time Space opened! It was always a first stop for me because Space had a 20 k cover and didn't get hopping until 4 am. You know alot, but not alot about Guatemala. For action, the capital, Guatemala is the only destination. Back in the day, Jocotenango outside of Antigua was an undiscovered gem, but it's no longer a gem.

Livingston is a sort of reggae or black town on the coast, an anomaly in these Spanish-speaking countries. English is spoken. There is a great trip up Rio Dulce, and back, which is a must. You can get to Livingston from Puerto Barrio, Honduras. Maybe there is a boat, for the adventurous, from Colombia, say Cartagena to Livingston.

But the trip up Rio Dulce is a must for Central American travelers. Take your awn tang (TYAT).

There are a few counties in Nevada where prostitution is legal, they are sparsely populated areas. Prostitution isn't legal in Las Vegas or Reno, but it's easily accessible.

There are a few counties in Nevada where prostitution is legal, they are sparsely populated areas. Prostitution isn't legal in Las Vegas or Reno, but it's easily accessible.

Las Vegas isn't what it used to be. There was a time when $50/ day got a deluxe room a huge breakfast, and steak and lobster for lunch and dinner and another $100 got your pick of all the models, dancers and starlets who were hoping to be discovered. Everything fades over time.

There are many who prefer Cartagena, others like Medellin, Bogota or Cali. There are even those who prefer the second tier cities. It doesn't need to be an argument. Cartagena is the greatest place, if you prefer Cartagena. Medellin or Bogota is the greatest, if one of those better suits you.

Whether you are wifing up or only get 15 minute quickies, as long as you're happy with it, then that's what you should do.

Cartagena is way more expensive than BOG and MDE, yes, but it's like comparing apples to oranges. It's really not just "go to MDE if you want it cheaper".

In CTG it's impossible to find a gem in the street, who asks just 20 k and gives you everything and more if you promise 50 k. It's not immediate, not easy, but I found that more than once in MDE and also in BOG. Conversely, I am really annoyed by those cold girls who demand 200 k for 1 hour and very basic service at Reloy.

BUT, CTG is much more than that! It's a lovely city. The Centro is amazing. The smile of the local ladies is killing me every time. With some effort, I can find a girl with whom I have good chemistry, spend a lovely night dancing in clubs, have a drink at Cafe del Mar, then in my room. I never paid more than 400 k for that, most commonly 300 k, sometimes just 200 k (and the girl was with me from 11 pm till 8 am-10 am).

My opinion is that if I overpay, or I give big money thinking that the girl is a super, then what I get is, at best, a good service. If I pay a bit less than average, then I am sure that the girl has also some other reason to stay with me than just money. There is always the time to add a tip later, because she needs that.

In CTG, I pay my apartment 75 USD / day, and it is a very good one in Bocagrande (being a returning customer who always behaved well, never vandalized the rooms, never made scandal in the condo, etc, surely helps a lot to get a favor treatment from the renter). The same rate is more or less what I pay for the Sheraton in MDE. I think a hotel at the level of Sheraton in CTG is 150 USD and up.

You said you paid $125/ day for lodging, plus 300,000 per day to the chica ($100) plus spent $100 buying stuff for her (100/4= $25). Figure roughly $50/ day for food for 2, and that's about $300 per day.

"For $30 more" is $330 (I can run through the math again if you want). That's a $500 for a 5 night stay including rt air, which we'll value at $250 for the room, or $50/ night. Add in $30 daily for meals. That leaves $250 for an enjoyable visit from one of the many, illegal, but nobody cares, prostitutes, which can usually be found without leaving the hotel.

And I can save $500 on airfare.

What I'm trying to say is that there is no "best" place, or best way to monger. As long as you're happy with the results, that's all that matters. We each have different likes, different priorities and different budgets. If we all had to have exactly the same thing, there would be a huge line and one very rich and very worn out hooker.

In Cartagena at the clock tower you're looking at 150 k to 200 k for an hour. If you have game you can probably get significantly less should you wife up. I paid 300 k a DAY to a girl for four days to live with me while I fucked her bareback as much as I wanted. The additional expense was dining out, and buying her some clothes for less than $100. The heat means your hotel should have air conditioning which adds maybe $30 per night to the cost. Why not recognize that Cartagena is a ripoff, or if not, simply that it is way more expensive than Bogota or Medellin for women? It does have old forts, ambiance and a sort of a beach. But for that I go to Livingston, Guatemala.

Did I say I did not counter offer 150 k? I did, in all cases. And, in most cases, I changed girl until I found one I liked and accepted 150 k. Still, the majority I "interviewed" stuck to 200 k. It should be noted, anyway, that I was not proposing to go to a hotel nearby for a quickie, but to relax in my apartment.

Hence my statement, based on my personal experience in November and December 2016, which I confirm:
"the going rate in CTG for girls at Reloy is 200k now", that is, 200k is the standard fee requested by 95% of girls at Reloy, almost independently on their beauty;
" seldom downgradable to 150k", that is, most girls I interviewed did not accept the downgrade and confirmed that 200k was the rate.

(I showered well all times before venturing to probe the market....)

It may well be the reason for the difference is you wanting them to leave the area with you. Nothing wrong with that, but to them there could be a difference in time commitment and how long they would be out of circulation.

I still say in most instances, 150 k should be the target price. If everybody stuck to that we'd all pay less.
