Everything you experience I noticed as well. I have to tell you that I love the Tiger Cat bar on Huashan across from Hilton. The whole Judy's / Manhattan and for that matter SNG guide thing is a dead issue. Just my. 02 h1.

As I had not been to Shanghai in 18 months, I found some things interesting about my recent visits to Manhattans and Judy's. I used to frequent shanghai 5-6 times a year and I have noticed things have changed. If you haven't been there in a while, this may be useful.

Judy's- used to be my favorite spot before they moved it. Now it's close to manhattans which makes the walk shorter. I do like the new building with more room a nice stage and VIP area. The table area has more room. Overall the quality of girls at Judy's had always been a little notch below manhattans with the girls being a little older. There were always beautiful gems to be had there and some of my best memories came from pickups at Judy's. The girls felt more real and less money focused (compare to manhattans). There is now a definite notch difference between the two. The crowd is more sedate and it's not "the bar to hang out in" like I used to feel. I don't know if the crowd is smaller or the room bigger but it feels different. I would still suggest going there but maybe visit both before you make final selection for the night. Judy's used to be the kind of bar I could go to and have fun. If I didn't take someone home, it was still fun. It's a little less that way now. A little more slow.

I was told you can get a girl at judys for all night for 800 if you negotiate hard. I never did. I did talk to a guy that found short timers there for 650-800. He did this 3 times. I saw the last one he paid 800 for. She wasn't bad. She was a 6+ maybe a 7. So maybe I overpaid.

I found I could get any girl there for 1000 for the 2-3 hours I wanted and they were happy. I'd rather have a happy girl for $30 more than an unhappy one for 2 hours. I remember a number of years ago a guy was negotiating a girl down to 500 rmb. He waited for the night to drone on for an extra hour and half while he wore her down and she looked for another option. He got her for his price and he told me, "they are all lousy in bed anyway, why overpay". I laughed to myself and wondered how much of that was the girl getting even vs the girl really being that bad. 95% of my experiences have been good or great. I have only had one or two that were where I felt screwed over.

Manhattan's has also changed. Where it was a 90% expat bar with girls in the past, it has become a hangout of local chinese guys more than foreigners. Both are present but it's mroe 60% chinese guys and 40% foreigners. I am not saying anything wrong with that but it has changed the dynamics. . The Chinese guys are willing to pay more for girls. AS Steven from SNG had said many times, the culture with the Chinese is to brag about how much they paid for someone sometimes more than what they did. It's part of they way they show they have money. Also they Chinese guys play their dice games there and buy out a table with commitments to buy a lot of drinks and the bar obviously likes that more than a guy nursing his beer all night. The Chinese also act like they are in a KTV a little. If a girl hangs with them and does some feeling up (either way) they guys will throw them 50 or 100 rmb for being there.

Needless to say, the girls swarm those tables. It doesn't mean the girls don't notice the foreigners but it is different than the old days when the foreigners were seen as the money guys.

Don't take this wrong, I am saying it's different. As China gets better jobs, this was bound to happen. There is still a place for foreigners and I was still able to have stunners give me a 1200 rmb short time price. This was without negotiation. I probably could have done better. The 7's and 8's were usually good for 1000 at manhattan's but I didn't try for overnight so maybe you could do better than that. My short time usually included 2 pops and 2-2. 5 hours of play. After that I wanted to be left alone to sleep. Some girls refused a 2 pop scenario and didn't even want to talk price on it. So be it, I moved on.

Those are my impressions, hope someone found it useful.

Sometime the little head doesn't listen to the big head. I have had it happen. Always make the deal before you leave you know. I had a mistake when I let the first girl latch onto me take me home. She was not that hot and I realized it in the room. Judy's was too dark and she looked better. She did however tell me Shanghai was not lucky for her (hint number one, get her in the light!

She offered 1000 rmb all night and said she would F*ck me all night. To her credit she did! Or at least 3 times with an offer for a 4th. Had I not had her leave, I am sure there could have been a 4 or 5th as long as I could have kept up. . (see report below). With the lights low it all worked as she had a nice body.

Just finished up a trip to Shanghai.

Checked out Judy's on a Friday night. Place was packed and there was a lot of talent to choose from. After sitting down with a beer, I immediately made eye contact with a Vietnamese cutie. Happy to finally be able to provide some useful information. Was in Shanghai the past few days and stopped by Bodi. Sign on the door says closed. There was a guy standing outside. He said Bodi is closed for good, the lease is up. He was handing out cards to another place, owned by the same people. Hong Feng Hot Spring Hall. It doesn't have an address on the card, but it's next to the Marriot on Hong Feng Road. Lots of security guys outside.

Inside a little nicer than Bodi, the set up is a little different. First you go and get changed, then to the room with the girls. 5 levels of pricing from 1100 to 3000 rob. Lots of girls, many pretty ones, perhaps 30 standing on risers in the room, and 6 sitting on chairs in the middle. Not sure if they were featured or what, I think they just rotate in. I'm in China a week. I'm in the us for a year. The comparison is against my wallet so it's valid to me. In general I pay less to these girls than most of the posts I see here. In the USA I see posts for guys paying 1500-2500 In shanghai.

So if I get a girl for 1000 and she's great and I tip her $40. I'm still under what these post show. And of course if I'm not happy I'm out 1000 not 1500 plus.

It doesn't mean I pay USA prices I just try not to lose Out on some stunner for $30 based on what I'm going home to.
