The last night of Prague, I got 4 girls, Russians, not a single world of English. The overall service in Prague is great though.

I think you paid more than you should have.

And second advice for your next trip NEVER EVER send money to anyone in advance no matter who it is or what they promising deliver to you. Don't even propose doing it here publicly!

1) is it possible to turn up to a parlour, see who's available and choose or is a reservation necessary for a particular masseuse required?

1. Yes at massage parlors that should be ok, assuming they have girls free that time (at least that many others here have said before).

2. chicbabes is agency what takes their cut for the price and they target stupid foreign tourist customers as for Tapky add is meant mostly local Czech guys and that add is most likely Lucies own personal independent add without agency or middlemans take their cut. Men I have to tell you got ripped off or you did a calculation mistake with the currency. 150.000 czk are around 6000 EUR for 24 h. You can top models for this price and no girls from show park. You did a research about Candy Sofia etc. But didn't you look at the other escort agencies and checked their prices?

Pretty much all big hotels are girl friendly. And over 100 bucks per night budget is kind of higher end level, so with that money you could try something like Radisson Blu Alcron (it is quality 4 star place), since it's location is so central and walking distance away to all the tourist stuff plus walking distance to some of those big (expensive) girl clubs also. Plus close to subway entrance so easy to go other girl clubs also.
