All that said, Waze gives very to the point direction to LR without missing even one turn. In my experience, Waze is better than Google maps in Germany and France, but sucks in Switzerland where Google maps is way better.

It happened to me as well recently in Darmstadt (on my way to Sharks 😎 ), where the navigation system of my very new car just kept me driving in circles because one street was completely torn open. The database is fine and in general SatNav systems do a reasonable job with directing you around problem areas, but the system of course needs to be constantly updated with current traffic information + road closures, which in turn needs to come from the local Strassenverkehrsamt. My guess is that the Strassenverkehrsamt is the big bottleneck.

This is my first report of any length for some time and is my observations and anecdotes from a trip to NRW and a number of its FKKs. The plan was to spend five days: Day 1 at Babylon in Elsdorf, Day 2 at Living Room in Kaarst, Day 3 at Acapulco in Velbert and then Day 4 at PSR in Lohmar for the early session and then later at Samya in Michaelshoven with Day 5 (a Sunday) chilling in Samya. It didn't go entirely to plan.
Day 2. Following a very disappointing start to the day at Babylon I decided to bail out and return to the safe bosom (s?) of Living Room: another €60 and this just reinforced my hindsight that I should have tried Golden Time first as it would almost certainly have been better than Babylon and if you attend GT first they give you a €25 discount at LR (and vice versa). Sophia was on my list again as I just seem to get on with her really well. Then I was cornered by Luna who remembered me from the previous evening. I was invited to join Luna for dinner as she thought she had me snared. Indeed she did and I was greatly entertained by her. She said it was only her 3rd week and she had moved from Magnum. The line-up improved as well and there are enough ladies of the correct calibre for me to keep me amused for a few days. I was close to calling it a night and was then captured by Aifa who was perfect for that time's mood. A petite firecracker but with too many rules for many of you so be warned, like no DFK but she's upfront about it and I proceeded to spend a solid 2 hours and surprised myself with the vigour I mustered. Excellent day in the end and despite its faults LR has become a 'go to' for me. I will certainly return and Alexandra (once Beyonce at Samya) is already on my dance card!

I got to Dusseldorf on a Wednesday afternoon and picked up my rental car and then realised I had made a major logistical mistake and the hotel I had booked for that night was 2 ½ hours from Babylon. I phoned ISA (International Sports Arena hotel) in Kaarst and asked for a room that night as well as the one I had originally booked for Thursday. I was in luck and they had a room. I headed straight to Kaarst, checked in and walked the 150 metres and 2 minutes to Living Room. I paid my €60, got changed and entered the club. It seemed rather empty but I was immediately stopped by the deliberately outstretched leg of Sophia (formerly Emma at LR and formerly Manuela at Samya). She is an entertainer I have known since Samya days and made me feel immediately comfortable. It seemed empty and indeed was not busy but then I realised that my few (three?) previous visits had been cold days with the club therefore condensed into a small space. This day was different and very, very warm with the result that full use was being made of the outside areas. This totally transformed my experience, there was more room and most importantly the smoke had plenty of space to dissipate. Sophia led the way and a great start to my little sojourn. Food at LR is OK to good and the small dining room was serving a sort of Frikadellen / meatball special. I sat and mused and fended off a few approaches until I succumbed to Ina (possibly Adina) which was a slow languorous 1 ½ hours and most agreeable. A couple of beers while I whiled away and a meeting with Luna who I promised to look out for on the morrow and I retired to the hotel. . I had a good start to my little visit to NRW. Pedro.

Posts: 79Gents, Ignore the directions on the directions tab of the Living Room webpage. All 4 direct you to go via Siemenstrasse which is closed. Use the videos, make certain your SatNav is up to date which can't be guaranteed in a hire car or the link posted by TransAtlantic, which I confess I don't quite get. I'the still be driving around now but a very kind girl at an ATM led me in her red Mini to ISA, where I was staying. It's a relatively simple walk (about 10 minutes) from IKEA Kaarst station if you're relying on public transport and it's at least an hour there from Dusseldorf airport. ISA is quite handy being just 150 metres away. Pedro.
