Yes, that's all fine and good, but the way it works in these buildings (at least the Palmetto ones) they intentionally make it difficult to screw with you. First, if she's Venezuelan she better have a recent stamp on her passport, or no registration for her. Secondly, you can register visitors yourself but if its an overnight visitor the renter (or apartment sales agent) needs to be physically there with you when you register her. That's a hassle in Cartagena where everyone is late and never shows up on time. The receptionists have been trained in the Palmetto buildings to do everything possible to discourage extranjeros from bringing women into the building.

Back when I was in Cartagena in January the sales guy who rented me the apartment even admitted there was new management who was making it difficult to bring guests back.

The upside is the Palmetto Beach and Palmetto Eliptic are both well maintained. No roaches or anything nasty. I'd love to find nice buildings by the beach without the shitty anti-sex tourist protocols in place.

FYI, most of these protocols are not being put in place because of sex-tourists, but the gangs of young Israelis. They have a bad reputation (well-earned) in Cartagena. Apartment owners and admin are trying to discourage them from renting in their buildings by instituting these new rules.

When staying in apartments in buildings that I know (Juan's apartments), having the girls produce their cedula and register has certainly benefited me. As far as I know or could tell, there were no curfews. I had them come in as early as 10 am 7 or 8 pm & I'm pretty sure l;ater than that would not have been a problem!!

I'm going to be in Colombia end of month but only in Medellin. I'll be in Cartagena labor day weekend into the week. Some of my friends in Barranquilla want to go to Santa Marta so I'm looking at spending a few days there as well. I hear the beach is much nicer but since I'll be with them no monkey business hahaha.

This time, we were hoping for a decent hotel experience (ie: Hyatt) but I guess that's not going to happen. However, one strategy we have used is for my GF and the chica to go up to the room by themselves and then I follow a bit later.

This would work if you're not doing it too often. The problem with apartments is they require registration for visitors, girlfriend or not. Hotels may just assume she's a local friend of your gf.

Once again: NO UPPER CLASS HOTEL IN CARTAGENA (OR MEDELLIN) IS GIRL-FRIENDLY. Period. Colombians like sex and meet girls, but they don't take them to the hotel where they stay, and don't want to see others bringing guests.

Make a search here and there for posts (not only from me) elaborating widely on this topic and providing further information, pros, cons, lovel hotels, rented apartments, etc.

Can you confirm no curfews? You can bring back girls whenever? Technically all buildings are girl friendly if you register the girl as a visitor and within visiting hours. I met and used Edgar. He had two girls waiting when I arrived and one was a diamond. She was from Venezuela 22 and had the tightest body a great ass and perfect tits. Just a heads up here guys, when in the CTG last week I brought mostly cash & exchanged at an exchange house near Torre Centaurio & got 2700:1. In El Centro I got 2750:1. I just checked my Schwab statement & got 3153:1 on a 200,000 COP withdrawal & 2965:1 on 2 seperate 300,000 COP withdrawals. Note to self, carry as little cash as possible, use the F-in Schwab card at the ATMs!

Does anyone of you who have visited CTG, met or have come across this lady in the photo? I think she is using the name Francheska in her online ads. I haven't bargained or settled on anything but she is asking for 200 Mil COP + motel. Just wondering if any other member has first hand experience with her to say.

Maybe I just got lucky but I never once talked to a tout other than to tell them 'No Thanks, I'm good!' Between mileroticos & the beach, I was as occupied as I wanted to be. Why give these jackwagons a cut?

I don't need it, but I like being able to sit at the beach for a few hours. Have drinks. They call over girls for you until they find the one you like. Good for day time action. Yeah they get a cut, but at the end of the day, it's still not that bad $ wise.
