Have you been to the chicken farm in Vieng Vang?

I know the location, but how is the quality compared to Luang Prabang and Vientanne? I am trying to decide whether it is worth making a stop there.

1. Vietnamese brothel behind the Stadium (19.8492390, 102.1385820). Has the largest selection of Vietnamese girls (ages 22-30). Every few months rotation of new girls.

1. The two adjacent Lao hostess bars in the student area (19.8746020, 102.1424500) "Happpy Beer Restaurant" and "Bo Bee Beer Bar" (Pepsi sign), some girls are not age of Majority (unacceptable), especially the one with the Pepsi sign).

2. Chicken farm (19.8744740, 102.1246380), 3 houses, very dirty place next to Phousi market (some girls are not age of Majority).

3. Chicken farm (many shacks) Betwen "Upub" nightclub and up untill across the parallel street bellow it. (Most of the girls are, very evidently, not age of Majority. Sad, shocking, unacceptable).

4. Muang Swa hotel (19.8793831, 102.1314346). Massage + FS during daytime (ask reception) Big clean AC room. In general can book room per hour, no problem bringing girls. During night some girls outside the night club (adjacent to it).

5. Karaoke 79 (19.8803647, 102.1427646). Vietnamese brothel. Very close to center.

6. Two Vietnamese brothels in city South fringes on route 13. One has a restaurant sign (19.8617820, 102,1277100), Second has masssge sign (19.9081190, 102.1675890). The second one is very descreetly situated (if you need) and relaxed.

7. At least two hostess bars across the Mekong river. One has a spinning beer cans curtain (19.8984070, 102.1167273), the second has a restaurant sign (19.8976170, 102.0976538). Countryside style. (Some girls are not age of Majority).

8. Hmongher motel (19.8750518, 102.1365244) inside the compound to the left, big pink sign is a Vietnamese brothel.

Prices between 150,000 to 300,000 kip for ST, 300,000 to 600,000 kip LT.

The girl in Muag Swa hotel during daytime (ask reception), is a legitimate massage + FS. I really enjoyed it. It is the only place I know of in LPB for a real professional massage and FS. And room is clean with nice big bed, shower and with A/C. 250,00 kip (they asked initially 300,000).

Thanks, I have been in and out of LP and Vientiane over the last 2 months. I will be there week after next so will give this a go.

I have met some nice people via the expat blog on facebook. They have meetings at various places and often bring local girls. Worth a try to meet.

Walked to the place indicated by the given google coordinates. It's a really dirty place. There are two places with a big Lao Beer sign: one is a wholesale shop, the other is some sort of food selling shop. I don't know whether it can be called a bar. There was one lady in her 40's, I guess, in the second shop. May be she understood the purpose of my visit. She smiled and tried to say there was no one at this place. She went inside and came after some time to see whether I was still there. She went inside again. Then, I left. It was no use staying there.

Those shops you mentioned are before the mentioned coordinates. And are just shops.

But. Good news. Update, confirmed:

That road is having major work done on it. That bar moved a little further down that road, and am not sure if they are in full operation yet, but there is a second beer bar just before the new location (you'll see the first one from there), recognize it by the curtain of spinning empty beer Lao cans surrounding the open sitting area, and is at.

Both were good. They maybe will ask for tip, but you don't have to give. You could also tell them in advance 200 k + 50 k tip at end if you happy.

Place called Karaoke 79 has just put up the "notorious" Karaoke / Massage big sign and a photo of the entertainment space. I think it is and was operating as a restaurant during daytime on the front terrace. Its just next door from a very nice gym on the main road very close to city center. Definitely needs further investigation at night, it was open during day with very little activity and is not a discrete location; Big school one block away and many shops. So didn't go in.

I will be in Savannakhet at the end of June. I may bring a semipro from Isaan, or leave her in Mukdahan. If I don't bring her, it sounds from the earlier reports here that downtown near the plaza and its hotel is where it's at. Appears that the beer bars near there have new talent, Viet and Lao alike. I missed any reports of cheaper hotels or guest houses where you can bring a girl. Anything on that?

If you're in town and you've got a bit of spare time, don't waste it searching out possible spinners in the massage places around town. They all over-charge and under-deliver.

Tuk tuks are hard to find in town, particularly after dark, but you can easily get to the chicken farms just outside town. Besides, the walk will do you good.

Everybody knows where the old airstrip is so head out onto the main road running beside it. With the airstrip on your left hand side and heading north towards Luang Prabang you will come to a small street on the left at the end of the runway. Continue another 50 yards past there and turn down the first street on the right. Follow it for about 400 yards until it forks. Take the right hand fork. There are a number of chicken farms just down the road on the right. They are lit up at night so you can't miss them.

Just remember you're in an area full of foreigners and you never know who'll be watching. Don't forget you're still covered by your home country's laws. There might be a few tiddlers around so be prepared to throw them back.

Then he says he "probably dropped another 500 K" - for dinner for a crowd of girls. That's around $60. Vang Vieng is not that cheap.

It's great that you gave us a report on VV but it would also be helpful if you were more "accurate" with the prices you paid. From my experience, if the fun you described cost you a mere $120 usd, then you got out of it very very well.
