I would say the posts on Thai Friendly were not shills. You have to know how to approach the P4 P on there. If you just message random ladies and ask them how much for sex and talk dirty and so on, you will fail. You have to remember 2 things. Number 1. Thai culture and number 2, there are some regular girls on there. Simply start a normal conversation and if the girl is P4 P, she will move the conversation in that direction. Finally, don't waste your time in Thailand on TF, make the contacts before you arrive.

Your plan is a good one. I would spend spend three nights in each then evaluate which scene appeals to you the most and head back to that location if you can. If not maybe something like two evenings in BKK then down to Sin City for six evenings, then back to BKK for two final nights of wonderful, wonderful times. As far as "Crackdowns" go don't worry too much about that, just don't get yourself in a situation with trousers down. I was in Pattaya last week and didn't get a chance to monger, however I took a quick look around to gather some Intel for a friend who is coming next month. The overall feedback from those working in the scene was that yes the BIB are occasionally making visits, but everyone knows when and where this occurs. If you are nervous about BIB just have your passport copy and remain cool, smile and wai. It's still "Good Times" from what I saw and heard. I hope this helps and I really hope you have a great time. Your life is about to change forever. This is a magical place.

My experience with TF will not reflect everyone's, but it was largely a waste of time for me. If you are younger and look good, I would think it would a good option. However, when you are pushing 50 like me, you are likely to attract the following:

I also agree with Croc and Paolo, about it being harder to find cute girls, and there being too many guys in the discos. The place used to be a bit overstocked, now all I see is guys standing around lost / confused in Pattaya discos as there aren't enough cute girls worth paying for. Sure, plenty of ugly ones but who wants to have sex with an ugly / plain / boring woman while on a limited time holiday, even for free.

And I agree with everyone that gogo prices in Pattaya and Bangkok have gone to absurd tourist trap prices. Might as well just go to any soapy (the lord, in Bangkok) and get an actual model for the same price (4000 baht). I guess because some guys like to think they are going to get LT and maybe also LLT. However, most gogo girls (the popular, good looking ones) are very reluctant to do LT and will leave at 4-5 AM.

I tried to make contact with what looked like a Pattaya working girl on FB. But in a message exchange, it was some guy shilling for what looked like a provider for girls to Soi 6. He mentioned a name and an agency, which I won't, unless appropriate. This person supposedly runs all the Soi 6 bars, according to this shill. I read up on this person and he seems to be a notorious Soi 6 "mafia" boss. You regulars may know who I mean. Anyway, this guy's shill is very aggressively looking for suckers. He offered to fly a woman of my choice to Pattaya. When it became clear that I knew enough not to bring sand to the beach, he then got all Mr Hospitality on me. He said 'please check out our bars, approach any of the UK managers and they will get what you want'. Really, as if one has trouble shopping around on Soi 6.

I left the discussion politely, torn over whether to report the site or leave it around to so I could monitor. Anyway, a warning to newbies.

Increase in the price of hookers is far higher than the rate of inflation. Changes in the scene are vastly bigger than just "are not as submissive and docile for chump change", and mostly for the worse. Prostitution scene in Thailand is in an inevitable decline, it's already nothing like it were in 2010 or so, not just in terms of price, but more notably type of available girls, prevailing attitudes, service standards, effective hours of operation and sheer numbers...
If you don't care about the chances, simply enjoy the scene as it is (while it lasts) and ignore the negative reports.

The first time I came back in Thailand after the year 2000 was in 2009 and discos in Pattaya were still full of very cute or pretty girls. Back then I was giving only 500 baht for the cute ones in Insomnia (same price than in the early 2000's in the Marine 2 disco). If a girl wanted more than that, I was never asked more than 1500 baht. I came back twice a year for 1 month each in Pattaya and I can swear that it was getting more and more difficult to spot cute girls each time in discos. I personally saw the place decline from 2009 to 2012. The last time I tried my luck with a girl in Insomnia was in October 2015, the place was full of dicks and dogs but I managed to spot a girl that looked clean and classy (actually she did an effort with her hair style, her makeup and the way she dressed) but she asked 4000 baht (way too much for her). The gogos still have some good looking girls but it looks like the price is not that cheap. As for the decline of service I did not see a significant change with freelancers in Pattaya. Last time I spent a few days in Pattaya was in October 2016 and it was the first time I did a girl in soi 6 and she was pretty good. Nowadays I'm more a Bangkok oilies guy and I could still find some cute girls that provided a good service (I'm not a PSE guy though).

I've lived here for most of the last 20 years and of course there have been changes but from my perch I don't see the deterioration in either quality, quantity or service levels you describe.

As to prices I feel it depends on which segment of the market you are talking about. Go-Go prices absolutely has gone through the roof mainly I feel as a result of huge increases in rents in the popular areas and yes some High end club FL'S are asking silly prices but for Oilies, Soapies BJ bars and the street and bar FL scene I haven't noticed the same level of increases.

If you compare escort prices in Bangkok to prices in Manila, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh Phnom Penh and Kuala Lumpur they are more than competitive and compared to Hong Kong Singapore Tokyo and Seoul they are dead cheap.

As to quantity I see no shortage anywhere I go.

Quality and service levels are very much an individual subjective evaluation but despite on occasion not finding anything to my spec or taste I have no shortage of great sex with beautiful women at affordable prices.

The sad fact is we do get older and without realizing it we do begin to take what Thailand offers for granted when really we should wake up every morning and thank our lucky stars this where we live eat and monger.

1) Mature women looking for a husband. Sure, they will quickly hop into bed with you, if you can convince them you are seriously looking for a wife. But, that is the case anywhere in the world.

2) Crazy women or just really desperate women. I had to block many who seemed so desperate to meet me I had to assume they were nuts or had some unknown motives (scams?

3) Chicks who want to waste your time. I've read this is a problem with Thai dating site, and I personally experienced it. I hung around BKK a few days longer than I should have trying to hook up with a MILFy divorcee, who swore she would make me happy. Promises, promises. She only ended up pissing me off, by spending our dates texting on her phone and posting photos of us on Facebook. Some Thai women apparently think dating a farang is a status thing, I understand.

Seeing that Pattaya is a P4P scene, I think you should just go with that, since those girls are everywhere. TF would just distract from what you are coming for. Seems like dating the girls is a better option further up North, away from BKK and Patts. There are some cute chicks up there and they seem more down to earth. Farangs seem less common there. But again, they are looking for a relationship.

Also, I advise all to set their preferences once they pay for a premium account. You can chose the age group, nationality, and gender preference of who can contact you. Upon signing up, I immediately received messages from some very young Filipino ladyboys. As you might imagine I was a bit confused, because that is not what I signed up for.
