Fantastic Panama City trip in the books. Hyatt Place was ground zero for me as I contemplated Hotel Milan at $40 a night but extremely loud with a new High rise being built next door. It's been well documented about the $15 Chica fee. Sucks but Hyatt still has great value. Walking distance to Habanos, Metro Subway, Hooters (and countless Via Argentine restaurants) Veneto, McDonalds & a brand new Wendy's (quick burger run) or even Hard Rock and Trump at Punta Pacifica. That is if your in good shape and don't mind dodging hundreds of insane drivers constantly honking their horns. Plus the breakfast buffet has improved. They added an omelette station along with fresh fruit, juice, deli meat and cheeses. I made a few sandwiches to go and that tied me over until dinner. Great value. No shelling out cash for breakfast or lunch. Save $$.

I arrived with no reservation and asked for a government rate. The clerks were great. I got a $70 rate for just asking and then showed my AAA Card. They didn't know the difference. Requested 18th floor and got it. Must be the rainy season. Save $$.

Now onto even more $avings! Forget the $50 cab ride round trip from the airport. You can do it for $2. 85 and put that savings toward your chica fees. Here's how. Follow the locals. After going through customs at Tocumen turn right after exiting the doors. You'll see one blue sign above. "Public Transportation". You'll be attacked by taxi drivers. Ignore them they want to rip you off. Stay on the sidewalk. There are no signs indicating this is a pedestrian walkway. You'll see a restaurant with a large orange sign. Chicken Port Restaurant. The sidewalk goes behind the restaurant and continues thru the back hallway and outside. Once you reach the end of the side walk (about a 4 minutes) you'll need to cross the street for the buses heading to the city. Two different buses use this route. I would recommend the large white air conditioned motor coach. They accept cash $1. 25. The city bus you need to use a bus card and they are not sold at the airport. You could ask a local to swipe theirs and reimburse them the $1.25. Either way be sure to get on the Tocumen corredor sur Bus. Once on the bus you can get dropped off anywhere on Avenida Balboa or go all the way to Allbrook Mall. I exited at Multicentro Mall and Ate lunch at Red Lion and walked to Hyatt with only a light shoulder bag. Taxi from the mall to Hyatt runs $4. Start to finish about 1 hour. Have confidence. If I succeeded you can too. The journey is the game. Returning back to the airport just hop on the metro subway (Iglesias Del Carmen) by Hyatt Place-It's 35 cents to Allbrook Mall. Exit (8 minute ride) and follow everyone to The National Bus Terminal. Once you arrive, you'll be a bit intimidated. It's Panamas version of Grand Central Station. Go straight to Platform E. Tocumen Corredor Sur. Buses leave every 15 minutes. You will need a prepaid bus card. Fare is $1.25 to the airport. So with subway and bus fare total is $1. 60 It took me about 1 hour from Hyatt Place to reach the airport. Yours could be shorter or longer. Traveling on the new subway or buses is easy and cost effective. You could Uber or take cabs but why? Save $$.

Now for the best part. Habanos was absolutely packed every night with nuggets from all over central and South America. Hot steamy nights has the girls ready to act quick and get out of the sauna at Habanos and into your AC Penthouse or Suite. The talent on display the last few nights was world class with stunners that exceeded Miss Universe or Playboy Standards. Believe when I say this. Do not doubt me. My eyes don't lie. Lots of college girls earning cash during summer break. Sure you may see a pooch or two but the first rounders outnumber them 10-1. The sad situation of violence and unrest in Venezuela has created a vacuum of beautiful women flooding into Panama. Be sure to negotiate but be respectful. I began my nights next door in the small cigar bar (cute dark Panamanian Erica is the mgr & sweet Venezuelan Katherine is her waitress) adjacent to Habanos. This way I was not hassled 100 times for drinks, company, cigarette, "where you from honey", etc. Very peaceful and the ice cold beers are a few bucks less. Once you see the beauty that interests you can walk over and pounce or invite them over. There is only a large old BBQ Grill permanently parked that separates the two businesses. Both work and keep you sane from the myriad of women trolling. Last and MOST important tip. Be sure to translate all of your requests upfront in Spanish unless of course your fluent. I had mine translated in advance on my phone ready to go and had 4 beauties during my stay agree to MY terms not theirs before we left. Hope these tips help. Enjoy.

Then the last night in town I gave Relax Oriental a try. No idea why Oriental is in the name by the way. The previous posts describe the access perfectly, in an oddly hidden mini mall off Via Argentina, a lovely leafy streety in a mature part of town filled with nice restaurants, cafes and pubs. Anyhow, the joint is total dump dive on the interior, like shit falling off the walls bad. When I walked in there was a little sitting area with a couple couches and the sweet 60 year old boss lady who ran the place along with 5 gals. 4 of which I just don't think I could have done really. That said you only need one and there was a pretty faced slender gal who was the one who spoke English. I immediately picked her. I may come to Panama City in November and was thinking to book Hyatt but now with $15 fee wonder if other hotels do not have a "guest fee" added.

This is no surprise. There was always a fee. Given how tourism in Panama is dead, and how there are tons of hotels, the Hyatt is trying to generate more revenue. At least they've full embraced their love motel roots. $15 is expensive given how it's almost 65,000 Colombian pesos. That gets you an hour in most Medellin brothels.

If you go to the hotel site directly they now have the hooker policy on the site albeit well written as if it is an Orlando resort. Pretty cut and dry, almost, the expression ' subject to adult pricing' leaves the door open to explain to the manager that the girl doing the walk of shame is your long lost 2nd cousin from Cali and you were just reunited and you are extremely upset they view her as a lady of the night as you feel their guest policy is to keep undesirables out and are extremely insulted they view your family member as such. Good luck explaining how in 7 days you were reunited with seven cousins. This is like the new German sex laws a bunch of BS except more enforceable than a BBBJ.

I hit up Panama City for a week. Cool city that seems the crossroads of the world that it is. The canal history and Casco Viejo old town are fascinating. I tried to sneak in with my chica but got rerouted to the desk where another monger was getting taxed (What's Up if you are on ISG). They put up a little sign at the reception desk regarding guest policy and fee.

I think one way around it, is when you book your reservation, book the room for 2 people.

I got an email back very generic that guests were permitted. So, I called in and they 'accepted' my story of being there on a business trip and that I would have several guests as one of the reasons I booked there was that ' Cozy Corner' so that we could all have good internet and space to sit and relax to review the days conferences and showings. I also noted that since our group was spread out over a few hotels that Cozy Corner allowed for a guest to stay over. He did tell me booking thru the hotel and / or using Hyatt memberships would be better for all in the future. They avoid the booking fees that way. There is their $15 fee plus a few more bucks prob saved not paying commission to a booking site.

My sister who is loaded up with Hyatt crap booked the room in both our names (She knows my vice, I cancelled the Orbitz reservation and got her 5 minute lecture on condom usage) and am now at the mercy of the night clerk however the reservation was marked noting that the guest would have several visitors. I of course did not mention to her the use of the invisible condom that was used 3 times in Frankfurt, Germany last week and how good it felt

Now, I was still told that ' guests at times do need to show identification for the other guests security' and after 10 PM; ' for the added security of all the guests staying there they limit the number of guests to 1 person' which falls in line with some previous posts so based on that my hunch is no chica fees if you book for two people as noted by the quoted poster and bring just one guest up per night but as to bringing multiple girls home after hours it might be an additional fee based on his words. I only bring one anyway.
