Day 4:

Just like my last trip in a new place this is when I finally got into my comfort zone and started to turn it up a few notches.

I was up and about by 9 or 10 am. I had no idea my day was going to be as long and as involved when I started but that's the way things go in the DR.

The resort started to fill up with many more guests checking in. A lot of the same chicas from earlier in the week but one new one in particular that had huge fake tits and a juicy ass that I had to sample so I did early on.

Most of the day was a blur between drinking and eating from about noon until 7 am the next day. I had an early lunch at Ricks Café around the corner (not bad pasta with bolognese), some camarones down at some beach bar, and an empanada from "el Carey" down on the beach around 3 pm, and then some dinner from sole mio around 7 pm. Sprinkled in another party hour somewhere in that time frame but couldn't tell you with whom because I can't remember her name.

Friday night was Mardi Gras night and all the chicas dressed up in lingerie. It was a fun night but again the crows nest bar and resort starts to empty out by 11:30. Tagged the Asian looking broad again and some girl that she brought for a happy hour. Both of them put in some effort and I loved the time with them. They rolled out around 12 midnight but I wasn't feeling like I was done yet.

The adrenaline of being in the DR was kicking in and I wanted to hunt and since it was only midnight I decided to visit the casino and Kviar nightclub at Costa Dorado. Rolled in close to 1 am and sat down and played some blackjack. There was a blackjack dealer there that caught my eye and she was looking back in a way that I knew she was in play. I alternated between playing cards in the casino and having drinks upstairs in Kviar hunting.

The Kviar Club was off the chain packed. As a gringo when you enter from the casino you do not pay any cover charge. Upon walking in there is a ton of staff in the black suit jackets and when they see a gringo you get escorted to the bar to buys drink with no wait. No propina required. Once I would buy my drink I just observed to see what in the club was in play.

There were clearly a few working girls in and around the bar area. Some other women were there with friends and some with their boyfriends. There was a nice tight Dominican girl that came in with her friend that I was I would have jumped on but I let her slide with some other dude. There was this bad looking ***** at the bar that acted like her shit didn't stink. She looked like a real high end type and I had my eye on her as well. One other chica who was with her man had some very touchy feely hands that made it known she was in play. After a drink or two up there and surveying the land and scouting out targets I decided to go to work.

Popped back downstairs and played some more blackjack and scored the whatsapp of the blackjack dealer. She made it known she was getting off after 4 and would hit me up. I went back up to the club and made some eye contact with some hotties, almost grabbed another Dominican chica but I decided to hold out on the blackjack dealer. Around 5 am I got that whatsapp and she asks what I'm doing. Told her I was at the club upstairs but she didn't want to come by because she didn't want to be seen by her boyfriend who works there. She also asked if she can bring her sister and of course I say yes. We agree to meet at some cabanas down by Cofresi and I arrange for my cabbie to take me there. She shows up at the same time I do and her sister is her twin. Ended up tagging both of them for 2500 pesos each. A really good time. Cab driver waited for me and took me back to BB's around 8 am where I then passed out for a few hours.

Day 2.

Rolled out of bed around 7 AM and felt really good.

Chilled in the living room area of the Penthouse and in the comfortable chair outside the door for a few hours surfing youtube and just relaxing. Wanted to exchange a little bit more money at Jeny's and walk around Costambar to get the lay of the land. Headed up and exchanged another $500 and got a rate of over 47 pesos per dollar again. Afterwards I popped into the massage place across the street from Jenys called Casa Maria. Nothing special about this place except that the masseuse does put in some effort. She will perform a one hour massage for 1100 pesos. No extras but a pretty good legit massage.

Afterwards decided on some lunch but also wanted to explore a bit. I didn't go far but went left out of BB's and then towards the beach and stopped at the blue food shack right across from Pizza Beach. The food here was really good as I had the arroz con pollo. The bad news is that while it tasted really good I would soon start feeling the effects of eating it.

After lunch I retired to my room and just hung out for a bit going down the youtube rabbit hole again. Around 430 I popped downstairs and met up with a friend I know that came over to visit from near Cofresi. Hung out with another guest that he knows and rolled up around the corner to Sole Mio for dinner. The food here was really good and I would eat here three nights of my trip. It was unfortunate I was not feeling well and could not enjoy the meal as much as I wanted.

Eventually started to feel better and ended up with three chicas at once in the jacuzzi area. Chilled with all three and got the triple BBBJ. Decided to take one of them upstairs for 1800 pesos and paid the other two 500 pesos each and was on my way. One of the girls who I did not take upstairs gave the best BBBJ I had on the trip. If that's your cup of tea I recommend you get one from Flor. She is an expert head doctor.

Day 3.

Woke up around 8 and was feeling good. My goal of the day was to hydrate myself and not have a repeat of the previous day. Started pounding the bottled waters. Blackbeards charges 55 pesos per bottle water which is a pretty good deal considering you are paying the "resort" markup on them.

At some point during the day I took a chica to the hot tub and dropped the kids off. That set me back another 1800 pesos but was well worth it considering I wasn't too energized and needed to just relax.

Still was mostly a really chill day. Popped up to sole mio for dinner again with another guest and dinner was great. Had the pasta pomodoro and shrimp cocktail. This totals somewhere around 650-700 pesos for the meal and is well worth it.

Night 3 was colors night and the theme was black. The crows nest bar actually opened and was energetic for a short time up until 11 and then it was cut off time again.

Found the girl that I enjoyed most during the visit on this day. Some Asian looking girl who said she was from Venezuala. I believe her name was Johana. I really enjoyed her. Total all star performance and unlike most Dominican girls she was totally smooth. Didn't keep her overnight but in hindsight I wish I had.

Ended up hanging out for a little and then called it a night prior to midnight since the place was dead again.

Day 4 and 5 to follow.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Blackbeard's. Going to provide a lengthy and detailed review and will upload in sections due to length. I think some of what I have to add here will be different that Mr. Pooter's perspective to the most recent poster who had questions about going. Of course with any trip YMMV and it is going to be what you make of it and how much you can hang with the crowd there.

First a little background. I'm in my upper 30's and from South Florida. Have been to the DR before and most recently stayed in Cabarete where I stayed in a four story private residence home right on the beach with pool stocked with a dozen chicas for a six night stay. That stay also included all the drinks and food in my accommodations and had two Dominican women to cook and clean all day. It was honestly the best vacation I have ever had in my entire life. I have rated that trip a 10 out of 10 and that is what the bar was set at for this trip.

I was looking to fuck a lot and party a lot on this trip but also reduce costs and get out and find some non pros. I can say I accomplished my missions.

Pre- trip Planning:

I think this is important to cover especially for any first timers visiting Blackbeards. Some of this information I gathered from RTFF and others from past experience.

Get on the newsletter list of you aren't already. The newsletter comes out every two weeks and you get an idea of what is going on and which girls are working. Start to prepare yourself for what you are walking into.

Get your supplies and set a budget but always take extra in order not to sell yourself short. The last thing you want to do is go there and not have enough money to take advantage of opportunities that will present themselves to you during your stay. The supplies I took were two 24 packs of condoms and a bottle of the KY. The girls in the DR love the KY. I also took all my own soap, toothpaste, mouthwash and products. The soap you are provided at BB's is your basic soap but get something that smells good (like and axe body wash) that the girls will like.

Book a room that you are going to like. If you are a budget traveler you can go really basic and get in for $55 per night. If you are someone that likes to live large do yourself a favor and book the Penthouse. For $119 per night you can't go wrong. That was by far the best decision I made for myself in my trip planning.

Try to have a plan on what you want to do timing wise and stick to it. The girls do work two shifts and when it is time to go they want to leave if they don't have something lined up with you.

The staff at Blackbeards is also very responsive during the booking process and pre-arrival before you arrive at the resort. If you have any specific questions do not hesitate to ask. They will always respond in a timely fashion.

Day 1- Tuesday.

Trip gets off to a rocky start.

Intended to leave my home north of West Palm by 730 am to catch flight 935 from MIA to POP. Didn't leave home until 8:10 and then once I got to Miami airport finding off site parking this time was a challenge. The place I always park is closed up. I ended up at the Sheraton on Nw 21st after looking for about 45 minutes. The cost was $10 per day. They suggest you book in advance rather than just showing up like I did. Just showing up throws them out of their routine and will delay you.

Got to airport at about 11:00 for a 12:04 flight and had a bag I needed checked. I did the whole check in thing before I got to airport but now American makes you check in again to get bag tags, etc and their kiosks were not very customer friendly. After battling for 15 minutes and trying to get an American rep to assist I finally get checked in only to find out my checked luggage is too late to be accepted. Had to speak to a supervisor and I fessed up that me being late was entirely my fault. I didn't pass blame and the supervisor was kind enough to help me. If I had passed the buck on the blame I doubt he would have been so helpful.

Grabbed a drink once I got to the gate, then boarded and had an on time departure. Soon it was wheels up and as smooth of a flight as you can get for flying out of MIA in July. Wheels down at POP a few minutes before 2 pm and then it was time to do the song and dance with immigration officials.

One item of note is that when I land in POP I am always chomping at the bit and ready to go. I enjoy the band that they had to welcome you when you come through the concourse after arrival but the band was not there. I was a little sad.

Made it downstairs and it was a wall of people. Immigration took about an hour to get through and it was a painful hour. POP airport has that distinct smell (kind of like skunky weed) that puts you in the mindset that you are going to have a good time. Finally through immigration around 2:45 pm and out the door to where the drivers are and looked for the sign with my name. The driver was no where to be found. I thought maybe he is just late so waited about 15 minutes. After waiting and not seeing anyone show up I simply said "fuck this" and went to the taxi stand and agreed to cab ride. The quote was for $55 USD to Costambar. I didn't really have a choice and I was ready to go so I did it.

It is about a 30 minute drive from POP to Blackbeards through the city of Puerto Plata. Based on RTFF I asked my driver to stop at Jeny's so I could trade in some money. I initially traded in $1,000 and got back over 47,000 pesos. The driver waited for me outside and soon it was a two minute drive to Blackbeards.

Check into Blackbeards around 4 pm. Here is where I met Nico who is one of the managers. Good guy. Seemed surprised to see me since I guess the driver reported that I was a no show. He must have left before I cleared customs. I paid the room total which came to a little over 32,000 pesos for the five nights and then in order to keep with my tradition which is always a two for 1 when I arrive in the DR I had two ladies accompany me upstairs.

After the first two for 1 I headed downstairs and had a small bite to eat. As soon as I got down there I had two more like vultures on me before I could even order. Had to hold them off until after I ate and then another two for 1.

Once I completed that one I made the agreement with myself that I was going to stop the two for 1's unless it was an ideal situation of my choosing. If you keep doing them the girls are going to keep lining up to do it and exploit you. You don't want to be seen as an easy mark.

The rest of the night I hung out at Blackbeards downstairs bar. The Crows nest does not open on Tuesday and Wednesday and there isn't any organized activities to get the chicas socializing. Most sit in their cliques and only approach you with the intent of getting you upstairs to your room. You have to say no a lot at Blackbeards. I ended up doing a few more one on ones and then by 11 pm the place closes down and the chicas are leaving fast. The lesson is that if you want to do an overnight line it up early. Went to bed alone and got some sleep which wasn't a bad thing after traveling all day.

The reason guys are willing to pay this slight premium is that you have the convenience and security of everything being on campus. There is no need to set foot off the plantation. In practice, anyone who is physically fit will want to, and probably be best advised to, go for a walk along the beach, play a round of golf at the dog-eared golf-course if that is your thing, or have a drink or snack at one of the many nearby bars and restaurants. But basically you stay at Blackbeards to spend your time at Blackbeards, either because you do not have the confidence, street-smarts or Spanish to find your own chicas on the streets or in the clubs or discos, or maybe because you have done all that in the past and just want to relax and be able to summon up an attractive chica at two minutes notice. Or maybe your physical condition no longer permits too much exertion.

If you want to taste the real Dominican Republic in all its fascinating squalor and dysfunction, take the plunge and stay somewhere else next trip.

Blackbeards lay on events some evenings. A typical 24 hours would be fuck ST early in the evening, eat / drink, retire for the night with an all-nighter (TLN), sleep late next day. Go for a walk along the beach (I do not recommend swimming there), use the pool, or make the short trip into Puerto Plata city one afternoon for a change of scenery, then repeat cycle.

If physically fit you might like the 27 charcos at Damajagua (do not drink any alcohol before attempting this, drunks have died), a cheap outing unless you go with a rip-off tour.

There is the cable-car to the top of the mountain in Puerto Plata. Go early to avoid a queue and check the weather forecast first. Take a chica who has never done the ride as there is nothing to do up top except buy over-priced souvenirs or use the over-priced amenities..

If you can assemble three more guys to share a taxi (and the taxis at Costambar are notoriously expensive) you could visit Sosua but remember you will not see much action there until after 11pm, by which time your taxi fare will have gone through the roof). But a day-time/early evening trip will give you an idea of the place. Not worth paying much for because not much to see until late at night, though a walk along Sosua beach path is always pleasant.

Yes the girls will stay all night (with very rare exceptions) and most are delighted to do so, especially if you buy them dinner and breakfast.

How long are you staying for? You will not get bored if for a week or less. After that it depends on your mentality. My first ever trip to the DR (and to the tropics and to the New World) I stayed at Blackbeards for two weeks and could happily have stayed another two had funds permitted. But I interspersed fucking with reading and learning and precising Spanish. In fact the only things I regretted were a couple of outings. One to a local hot-spot (no longer existing) where my naivety got me conned and I had to suffer the humiliation of asking the Blackbeards management to get me off the hook, and another a boring and expensive taxi outing to Cabarete where the Blackbeards chica I paid to accompany me was weeping over her own love problems and was careful to steer me away from any chicas or places where I might encounter them (I afterwards realized).

When you really know your way around you can find better or cheaper chicas by staying elsewhere but forget that idea first trip and spend your money inside Blackbeards. Taking in outside chicas is usually a bad idea.

There are a few restaurants in easy walking distance from BB, but nothing wild. Personally, I was content to have dinner, drinks, maybe a cigar, and scope out and flirt with the night shift at BB when they show up. Lots of attractive, very available women, and I'm going to look elsewhere for entertainment? Not sure of your tastes, or what you would be looking for. Maybe some of the other posters (Charles Pooter? Manizales 911?) Can offer advice on local places.

Sosua is about 15 miles away, and has lots of bars, discos, nightlife. If you go, try to take some wingmen to share the cab fare.

No problem with overnight chicas. All the BB girls will stay the night. If you bring in a chica from elsewhere, she needs to produce a cedula or ID card, proving she is 18, and she cannot have been banned from the hotel. (The BB chicas will be pissed off, of course).

As for stuff to bring, maybe small gifts for the girls. Depending on you, and your budget, check the Dollar stores for little gifts. I often brought little tubes of skin lotion, coconut butter, etc. (If a girl takes several showers a day, skin lotion is welcome), Maybe some Dollar store shower caps, for the same reason. For you, bring a collapsible umbrella. Tropical downpours are common. (Pack it in you checked bag on the way out, as I had some POP security idiot confiscate mine once (metal). Idiot.

A couple of responses have given good advice. From another perspective, if you have a particular girl in mind and you don't see her, speak with one of the mama-sans. If there is a picture of the girl posted somewhere, identify the one you want and ask if / when they will be at the hotel. If you wish, they can call the girl at home to see if she is available to come in. In such cases, allow time (maybe a date set for the next day at a specified time).

If you set your mind on particular chica keep your eye on the room exit (the room where are all contestants wait for their turn), some chicas may leave if they are out after first or second round. You can talk to chica before she leaves and even if it is not her shift she will be happy to make some money unless she has some other plans.

Yes, they are all Blackbeards girls, though I have known the odd visitor have a go. But that does not mean they are all there every day or every hour of the day. My advice is not to get fixated on any particular chica. There are always others and sometimes betters.

Second trip in a couple of months, and Blackbeard's was the last stop before coming home. I spent four days here. (see Sosua and Cabarete reports).

Kind of the same as my last report. The first day, I saw Jina (China?) who I saw on the last trip. Under 5', looks Asian in the face, great body, works out several days a week. Sweet personality. All girls did BBBJ. She has a great personality, speaks pretty good English. She at least faked an O' contracting the muscles tight. I had two sessions with her, was hoping to have another, but she didn't return.

Another 2 sessions with Estrella. Long hair, slim body, light caramel skin. The body looks like Tony's sister in scarface, but the face is not the same. I think I had 3 sessions with her, including a hot tub BJ. No English, but good personality. The other chica on this trip was Vanessa. She is exotic looking, about 5' 8", full see's, pretty eyes, brownish skin. She gave one of the best BBBJ's ever, including deep throat. I had three sessions with her. She swallowed the evidence each time. All good this time, no upsale. The price for short time is $1800 as listed in the guide. I usually tipped at least $300.

I tried some of the restaurants suggestions, unfortunately, the Catamaran was under renovation / moving? I ate at Sole Mia, not many choices in walking distance at night. During the day, if you walked out of BB's toward the ocean, take a left and walk down the beach, there is a cluster of beach restaurants. I ate a great Burger at El Carey. The seafood I saw others eating looked good.

I ate at Estella del Mar one day on the beach. The shrimp dish, garlic sauce I think, were fresh and tasty.

Lot's of folks at BB's on return trips, some seem to come several times a year. If you are looking for stuff to do at night, you are out of luck unless you take a cab, drive, etc. I liked spreading the trip out into several locations as I did this time.

I think next time that I will pay for food and drinks at BB's as I go. Several mistakes on the bill that I caught, but four days of drinking with a couple of meals was less than $120 US. I usually come close to that, if not more, on a weekend at home.
