Totally off topic, where are good Ethiopian restaurants in Dubai. The cheap type, not the super expensive type in Emirates towers. Also, are there any grocery stores with Ethopian food?

Went to Hyatt Regency to go to the infamous Premiere night club, Saturday evening. It's renovated during Ramadan and looks good. Paid the staggering entry fee of 200 aed but you can't do anything about that so let's forget that.

I arrived early, probably around 2230, and there were many girls already, maybe 80. Only a few man, 10 max. Met a nice guy who was alone, like me, so we had our drinks and had fun checking the girls. More and more came in, and around midnight more men arrived also. Nevertheless the ratio was still like 5 girls on 1 man.

In terms of quality its similar to Moscow. Many girls but not all that beautiful. But with so many girls there are always a few stunners. Checked out a Vietnamese which has been mentioned on this forum. Some Ukrainian girls too. Then I noticed a Indian kind of looking girl. Very young and very, very skinny. Like extremely skinny. Paid 1500 AED eventually because I didn't have smaller notes. But I'm happy with that. She was nice. Left at 0600 h.

Few months ago, I was in Deira, returning back from Mamzar Park hungry like a wolf. At the moment, an idea of a meal in the Ethiopian restaurant was born in my head. Immediately, I turned left in a quarter opposite the Hyatt Regency Dubai. Later, I found out the name of that Deira part – Naif. In front of my eyes were only people from Pakistan or India, not a single man Arab or European. Street came after the street and finally I was somewhere in the middle of that quarter. Around me now were only male Africans. It was 7 PM already and just when I thought that I lost my way an African lady took me for my hand and tried me to push me into her coffee shop. Coffee shop was full of girls and only girls. African girls. And it wasn't single one. There was few of them all full of African young women. They tried numerous times to stop me and persuade me to enter theirs cafes. One of them was even shouting after me: "Come on seety, I will show you!

I think that they were hookers who were ready to go the the clubs. That were some kind of theirs meeting points. After, I saw the same situation with other men. They tried also to push Pakistani workers in their premises. These girls are there every single night.

Does anyone have similar experience like this? Are they really hookers or just con artist ready to trick naive people?

I didn't end up making it to Rare at the Media Rotana as suggested, was just too lazy to get the drive. Did they change policies at York hotel? As far as I know they do not allow girls from the club to the rooms. They even had a big sign at the lobby area that visitors are not allowed.

As far as I know, visitors are still not allowed at York and, taking a WG up is a definite non-starter. I stayed at the Meridian Airport again. This time in the club rooms and I was impressed. Good rate, newly renovated building and great service. Of course, the famous Jules is located on the premises. I must say that Jules is the best if you are staying at the Meridian. No need to go anywhere else. The lineup is the usual, Russians, Viets and a few Africans.
