I would stay away from Rain. She seems mentally unstable. Ask her a question and she goes crazy and makes threats. Recently she outed somone with his name and contact info on her wechat because she got angry at him.

OK, so no Rain because she's crazy, but my question is, "are these still operating? What about Manhattan's Judy's?" a couple weeks ago, I read there was police tape across the front of Judy's door. There has been no post since saying they are back up and running.

Yep but it seems so places are playing the russian roulette because they can't afford being closed too long (cashflow issues + the added troubles of having borrowed cash to some people at very high rate.).

So I wouldn't recommend going out until things get more widely labbeled as "somehow safe".

Got taken to a KTV by a mate. It was inside Pullman level 3 hotel in Shanghai. Sorry I don't know the exact location as its my first day in Shanghai. Had about 25 girls line up but average quality.

2 k for one girl.

8 k room min spend.

We end up spending 36 k for 9 guys. Bit ridiculous price from my experience.

Some girls was willing to go home but at 15 k mark. Way too much.

Anyway that's was my experience. My mate said alot of place don't have girls anymore. Thats why its at ridiculous price.

What do you guys think?

Perhaps the pressure will ease by the time of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party (don't know the exact date but it is in the autumn) . I think that this is Pooh Bear's final attempt to reduce the influence of the Shanghai faction (Jiang Zemin) prior to the 5 yearly conference. He has recently hit and replaced top figures on the Shanghai scene and now has the clout to hit the faction financially.

I have read statistics about the Dongguan sex industry at the time of the great Yanda in 2014 (which was part of his initial attempts to take down the Jiang Zemin faction).

A common statistic was that the total sex industry (hotels, saunas, KTVs, BBSs, hair dressing salons, make up salons, clothing, taxis etc) generated 50 billion yuan or 10 percent of Dongguan's 550 billion yuan GDP.

Additionally, SCMP reported that 300,000 sex workers operated in the streets, massage parlours, KTVs, saunas and hotels of Dongguan; and up to 800,000 people. An extraordinary 10 percent of the city's population. Were involved in the sex trade in one form or another.

I suspect that these percentages are considerably higher than those for any other Chinese city, as Dongguan was an international sex tourist spot with many visitors from HK, Taiwan and Singapore.

It appears the sauna operators are hurting. They now advertise, discreetly, to provide outcall. At 2500 to 3000 rmbs for a 70 minutes session. You pay taxi fares and hotel room (if you are a cheating husband). It is hardly worth it. For that kind of money you can get an overnight.

I was thinking the exact same thing. This sucks, visiting the legendary Shanghai and not able to visit soapland. Wtf. I went to my default place, Zhongshan Leisure Club and the doors were taped closed and lights were out. So sad.

Any seniors with guidance for available options? I'm staying in Hongqiao and am in dire need of soapy massage.
