This is a generalization.

SG are employed by the hotel they stand in front of. They are assigned a spot albeit out in the open. Presumably they possess a recent health card. And they are generally more conservative upstairs, many practice safer sex than the girls in the clubs.

SW are mostly Americans that wander the streets, presumably to avoid law enforcement. As such they do not have health cards. Many are druggies and are less likely to practice safe sex. In addition to the higher risk of STD, these girls are very unpredictable. If you are crazy enough to use them, do not go to their place because you may be getting set up.

In Tijuana terms are a little different than other locals: Street Girls generally are licensed sex workers that stand in one location on the sidewalk, often in front of a hotel they prefer to use for short-term sex sessions. Street Walkers generally lack licenses and tend to walk around seeking clients because their illegal status prevents them from standing in one location for long (to avoid hassle from the policia). Of course this is different than in the United States where there are no licensed sex workers allowed to stand in one place and solicit business. This is a distinction that's often missed by newbies and lost on this forum's administrators.

There is a huge difference, in my opinion. To each their own. But I would not touch most walkers with a 10' pole. If you research the boards, you'll see that SGs have the health cards, have some stability. In my experience, the walkers I see scare the hell out of me! Again, just my experience but what I see with walkers is someone Desperately looking for their next fix. We all play in a dangerous game. Walkers are over my risk threshold.

Some may have better experiences to report or have better luck.

MARISOL or Marison is back in the alley after a very long hiatus. She worked on Consti W. Side for many yrs near Playboy / Hacienda bars. A few yrs ago moved to the S. Side of the alley 1st "hotel" W. Of Eduardo. Patron? Not sure of the name. Anyway now she is near the Oxxo E. Of Caliente. Amazingly hasn't changed much over many years, still looks young and fresh and if anything better. I only chatted with her a few minutes, she's not the most talkative SG unless she sees some dinero.

Also talked with STONE COLD KARLA at Eduardo, looking great considering she's been there since 2003 (guessing). Very pleasant chica but strict and the only reason they are not lined up waiting on her.

After a frustrating few hours at HK, I went on the hunt for SGs. Pickings were slim. Maybe three that caught my eye. But I settled on Fatima. She is the blond that stands somewhere along La Gloria. Best way to decribe the alley: go out HK's back door and turn left. Walk around the block to the front door and you've seen most of the SGs.

I am a US vet, but a newbie on the international side. I have been to El Centro on a number of occasions.

And used knowledge gained here to have some fun. I will be visiting at the end of September to southern Cal. I generally try to make at least one trip to fun city. (Yes, I know there are world travelers here that push for Thailand, the Philippines, and Central America, but I have never been more than a few miles out of the states). Anyway, I have never visited the famous alley or schoolgirl corner and wonder just where they are located. If there is another page I should be looking at, I'd be glad to go there if someone would direct me. I know where the clubs are like Adelitas and Hong Kong, are. So if my sought after location has any relation to these, please feel free to direct me. I'd be more than happy to trade info, but have not been down there in a few years and my memory is such that I'm lucky if I can remember what I did yesterday.
