Book the hotel in her name. And when you walk into the hotel, walk in confidently and head straight for the lifts without being too aware of staffs around you. Worst case, they will stop and ask you which room number, and she will get a call to check if you are an invited guest. Emirates ID is never a problem. It's only to save their backs when crime happens.

Might give that a try but pretty sure she's already scared af to go to hotels.

Don't know where to post this but I'll throw it here. I have a girlfriend of only 19 years old, the problem is she's originally from around this gulf area. We're a bit scared to try a hotel since they ask for emirates ID's, do you guys think the age would be a problem?

If I were you I will be very careful with 19 year old girl from this area. Best option is to choose hotel which has basement car park. Go first and do the checkin. Pickup the girl later and park in basement, go straight to room. I have done it many times and not once I was asked girls ID. They rarely watch the cameras. I have used one hotel successfully many times. PM me for details.

Try calling the hotel and ask and let us know or RTFF as the answers to your question are here then when you visit let us know how it went and if it is red, green or amber as we like new contributors.

Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, Bur Dubai is GREEN with ID as of Sept 6 2017.

There are several apartment rentals on short term basis which is your best bet in either Downtown, Marina or JBR. PM me if you want specific details.

I stayed at Media One hotel in the media city. Last year it was very green (except if you are waiting for an African lady! You have to go down and take her yourself to your room, personally find it embarrassing to me).

Anyways, this year I am supposed to stay for one month. So prefer to stay in a place more like hotel apartment (Or at least with Microwave and Refrigerator).

Any advise please?

There is one at every hotel, even the beachside 5*'s and they are LE. Have had experience, not girl related but in relation to an issue I raised, and the hotel security got the guy involved. They are locals and not to mess around with!

I keep seeing men in local dresses standing behind the reception desk on most of the famous 5 stars green hotels between 10 pm til morning! I have discussed this with my friends and WGs and they have noticed the same thing.

Any Idea?

I'd say Airbnb is your best bet. A few years ago I put some family in an apartment in JBR which was very good, clean, big bed, decent value for money. Lots of apartments on the Palm, Marina etc I'm sure, where you wouldn't have to contend with security as a "resident".

Stayed at Habtoor, late afternoon visitor had to register but was allowed up to the room after a call from reception to verify I was expecting someone. However my late night visitor was not allowed up. I think at this hotel, might work better to meet at the bar, or something like that, then go up together using the lower level elevators.

Nowadays most green hotels do not allow visitors after midnight; otherwise, they will charge you 150 dhs or do not allow visitors at all.

I was in Media One 2 years ago.

I take the girls mostly from Q43 and from the Pool when the party is in the evening. From the pool is no issue because you can go direct to the lift.

From Q43 I come from the back to the lift. So no need to pass the reception.

In November I am again in media one and will check if things are changed.

Quick question. I've stayed in a slew of GF hotels in Dubai in the past and reported on them, however, this time, I'm planning on staying in Dubai for a week and would like to stay in a GF hotel apartment in the Deira / Bur Dubai area. I've looked on booking.com and came across names like London Crown 1/2 hotel apts and Tulip Hotel Apaprtments in Bur Dubai. The reason for choosing an apartment this time around is that a hotel for 7 days would be a bit costly.

Does anyone know if any of these are GF or if anyone has any recommendations in the nearby areas, that would be good. I've stayed in Marriott executive suites before but they are very expensive.
