I've been seeing adverts on Craigslist and Backpage and I'm wondering if any of these are anything more than just scams. I've RTTF and can't find much.

Not sure about Phuket, but in Bangkok I tried a few of the Craigslist listings, and they weren't scams. How could they scam you anyway, unless you do something colossally stupid like paying upfront or meeting at your own home? Not a particularly good value either. I also hate how they usually don't put Line ID in there, so it's a delayed 2 step process just to contact them.

Fanfinfin has much better selection, Line IDs for direct contact, asking prices are about half of Craigslist, but hard to arrange without speaking Thai (and even then, some won't go with Farang).

If you read this forum just a little bit, you will quickly find out that you don't need Craigslist or Backpage in Bangkok. There are just so many better options. If you are not up to doing RTFF, maybe you should think of asking someone to show you around, for a fee. I am sure your buddy from Phuket would do it for free.
