One thing not mentioned about Onassis Spa is its proximity to the immigration office. It's across and up the street from this spa. When I went to extend my visa, I visited the spa for the first time. Pretty convenient after wasting half the afternoon at the immigration office.

There are two entries to the spa: the building's main entrance, which has a separate interior walkway on the left side to the spa with the fishbowl, and a reception desk in the lobby where one can get a legit massage and no extras. There is a side pathway outside the building (on your left as you face the building. A short walk on this path takes you to a glass door. Upon entry, the fishbowl is direct on your right and the reception on the left. I found a nice pretty girl and had a good time and did not notice any infrastructure issues with the rooms. As usual, YMMV.

Also, the Onassis has small interior hotel rooms past the lobby. The rooms were inexpensive but the one I viewed did not have windows. The spa is very close to the airport too if seeking last minute relief before your flight.

Have 3 days only in Bali on stopover to Perth. Having read several pages of this forum I see that Riverview was popular but was concerned to read about the raid and I too wonder if its closed. Rather than making a wasted journey. Also, other than this one and Onasis (great review Dirk67) are there any others were there is a line up (whether in fishbowl or not)? Many thanks to any senior members of this forum who reply.

Riverview and Onassis still trading as usual. The raid didn; t even slow them down. I was there next week.

Those two places are at the high end price-wise, but you get a lineup and good service, including massage etc. If you are just after a quick fuck the fishbowls in Sanur are probably the place to go. Venus spa in Jalan Pendidikan, Bali exotique spa and Kretya spa are other possibilities for mid range massage plus plus with a choice of girl (s).

Thanks for clarifying that. I wasn't trying to be contentious. But, as someone looking for precisely that kind of intelligence from someone on the ground, it was a confusing statement. But, at least it gave me a chance to use a syllogism. First time in a long time since my Logic 101 class back in college.

Do you realize your first sentence was contradicted by your second sentence? How can there be very little there in Sanur if there are loads of fishbowls? Loads mongers enjoy fishbowls. Therefore, that would mean if Sanur had loads of fishbowls, there would be loads of monger action there. That's a simple syllogism.

I was referring to FLs only, not mongering in general.

I only tried a fishbowl in Sanur once, and it felt like you were wandering into a collection of abandoned houses, and suddenly a pps appears who takes you to see the girls (2-3 girls available in my case, but I understand there can be more). The room feels pretty dirty, but the girl I got was sweet and actually quite cute, though no stunner.

Amazing that for about the same price (250-350 k, upper end for foreigners or if you can't speak Indo), you can get pretty amazing quality and nicer facilities in Jakarta.

Thanks for chiming in on that. I could see the OP wasn't being very objective, but I had to point out that glaring contradiction. As I have tentative plans to do Bali, including Sanur in March, I will do my own assessment when that happens.

But, where can you get better a better value at those prices in Jakarta? Members on these forums have said the opposite, that Bali is the value destination.

This time in Bali, I didn't bother checking out Sky Garden or Sanur, as I found the best value for money (it's all relative) to be the spas, where you don't need to bring girls back to your place and worry about people seeing or theft or any drama, you can pay by credit card, and you can get relatively nice facilities-- at least in the case of Riverview.

I recall Riverview was 1. 3 m for 90 minutes, but that was a year ago. Not sure if prices went up, or if my recollection was wrong, because I checked out Onasis and it was 1. 5 m. Onasis is also much sketchier looking from the outside, and all the taxi drivers know about it-- they would proactively mention it to me as we drive past (like from the airport and such, without any prompting). "Very good spa. Wink wink".

The interesting thing about Onasis is that you select girls from a fishbowl, vs. The girls coming out to line up for you like at Riverview. I picked a girl that was kind of hiding in the back, but she was definitely only one or two out of the 25 girls there that were doable for me.

She ended up being a good choice-- very little English but fun and playful. Decent massage as well.

I'd say between Riverview and Onasis, Riverview definitely wins. Onasis facilities were much older, darker, and dirtier feeling. The valve to turn on the water for the tub was directly on the pipe under the tub behind some broken tiles. It was barely acceptable, and only a slight upgrade from the Sanur fishbowls. I might go back if it was convenient (like a session on the way to the airport, as it's about 10 min away), but otherwise would recommend Riverview.

How much do those free lancers charge?

Based on my recollection, anywhere from 700 k-1. 5 m for ST. I don't usually do LT so I'm not sure about that but I think it can be done for 1-2 m. I didn't partake from here last time as for almost the same money, I can have a much nicer experience at Riverview or some place similar.

Maybe it's the season, but last time I was at Sky Garden in October, there were dozens of FL on the first floor that usually plays EDM / House and has a DJ on stage, vs. The outdoor rooftop area that plays hip hop / are&be. The FLs were all congregated by the bar and by the bathrooms, all lined up awkwardly in groups of 2-3. If you missed them maybe it was too early (the didn't seem to show up until after 11 pm-midnight) or too late?

Kuta, tried Sky Garden for curiosity, it's an expensive 200 k to enter and it's all very slick with different levels and music. Best room was the live band on the 1st floor, when they stop player some sexy dancers come out on an extended platform, the dancers mingle between dancing sets and I got chatting to some of them and was very interested in one of them but was told by another dancer she has thrush! Fair enough, time to move on thanks for being honest. Not many FL to be had here if any but there were some local girls and foreigners if that's your game. Moved to Paddys almost next door, now here there are plenty of FL options, from locals to African or even a deaf Ladyboy if that's your thing. Most were in the 1 m to 2 m range but negotiations are open of course. I really didn't see anything that great here and got the impression most were there to take advantage of drunk westerners. There maybe a better scene in Seminyak but was long way from my hotel so didn't go.

After RTFF thought I would give my feedback on this short trip.

So there are options to be had in Bali, great for massage but the rest leaves a bit to be desired depending on your preference of course. I'm not going to rush back that's for sure but if travel tales me out this way again I would return for another 'cheap' trip.

Thank you for a well-written report. You've given us good insight on the choices regarding the massage places. I will use what you said as a reference for sure!

As for the dating apps, my experience was very different in Tinder! I received many likes and matches, and 90% of them wanted to meet and make-out quick. But that was back in October. I guess the timing of your trip wasn't the best. December is a low season and very rainy. That being said, what does everyone think is a good time to go to Bali to fish for some good females (Asians and Europeans)?
