Overall the Sharks line up has declined over last 3 months. Very few really pretty girls left. They used to have some really good looking Coyotes, but they left, and I saw two of them outside of Kiss bar last night. I never BFed Coyotes anyway, as risk is high, with tits completely obscured under hard multi layer bras, so one never knows if the girls tits are good or not, unless manage to get the tit out of the bra somehow, when girl is inebriated.

Very strange last night. A street cart bar that is commonly present, on Soi 23 was already lit up at 9. 45 PM, but only had one girl sitting there to serve drinks, or set it up. I concluded that the other girls would arrive later, and not sure what time they normally open (but definitely late used to be the norm).

I passed by again at about 1 AM. Now the street bar was closed with no girls and no lights. I would have asked what was going on, if anyone was there. However I suspect a police blitz, since several bars in Soi Cowboy had no Neon lights switched on, e. G. Suzie Wong, and some others, while plenty of bars had normal Neon lights on.

Turning the corner from Soi 23 into Sukhumvit and heading towards Asoke, I could see another normal Cart Bar was operating. However did not go there after a problem with a girl at that bar in the past, trying to order drinks that I had not approved.

So I think some Cart bars are operating at times, but it is all a bit iffy. I quite like a bit of fun at Cart bars, but only if they have some very high quality girl(s) that really interest me, and are great fun.

Coincidentally, I happened to be walking by that same Soi 23 cart bar around the same time. Maybe 10 minutes different either way. When I passed by there was an older, chubbier girl standing or sitting behind the cart nearest the wall or fence and another girl, less chubby but still not attractive enough to be do-able imo, standing at the side of the cart. The reason I paid attention to them much at all was because they seemed to be in the midst of a heated argument about something. In Thai, of course. But Soi Cowboy did seem a bit darker and subdued here and there. Same with the Nana bar area. Things just seemed to be a little quieter than they have been in the past few days. And maybe that is because I have not seen the Nana Entertainment Plaza area as crowded and busy as it has been over the previous several days in a long time. Hadn't passed through Soi Cowboy in a while so can't compare. But the Nana area has just been mob scene for the past couple of weeks. Until last night. I have no idea what was going on either.

There was a recent bust of a "bold / sexy" movie shoot on Khaosan Road in the past couple of days. The filmmakers had gotten the proper permits but dressed up the scene with too many sex toy carts and scantily clad actresses for the local authorities' liking so it was shut down. You can see a video clip on the Stickboybkk site. Maybe there were rumors of them busting a few other "bold / sexy" activities around town just to make sure everyone got the message.

Took a motor taxi back and the guy hauled at $$, gave him a couple hundred baht and said respect! Back to Baccara around 1:30 and holy smokes was it barren! I couldn't believe it, it was like a complete 180 from earlier. Gosh darn Chinese! Went into virtually all of the agogos but did not see a single thing. Dammit!

This it not unusual. It is possible to find some great girl in a bar at 1. 30 AM that has just returned from a ST booking not so long, however many girls would not bother to come back into a line up that late.

The optimal time to arrive in a bar is 9 PM IMHO, and then watch the last of the top girls still arriving up to 9. 30 PM. Last night I was in Sharks to see my regulars. One of the sexy girls was arriving back from a ST at about 10 PM so she could have been BFed between 8 PM and 9 PM. My regular girl, arrived quite late to the bar as had attended a birthday party before arriving at work, but did show up a little after 9 PM I guess. I intended to make a visit to Crazy House, but just as I was about to sit down at 9. 30 PM+, the shows started. The shows are repulsive to me, so I decided to leave instead of ordering a drink, and wasting time there. So never had a chance to evaluate the line up. One of my old regulars Jane, was there. Others, I don't know.

I should remind people not to bother with Suzie Wong bar. It is nothing like its heyday. It has died as far as I an concerned. Quite a few bars are miles behind what they used to be, even Crazy House is not as high quality as 4 years ago (in its infancy). They don't have the same standards in girl recruitment as what they used to. Old Dutch restaurant has still not reached the end of its lease but must be coming before too long. Crazy House still expected to expand into Old Dutch, even though Crazy House has taken over 5 Star but operates it slightly differently, unfortunately including stupid Coyote girls.

Cowboy Coyotes are often very ordinary girls just being pretentious, thinking they are in some higher class somehow, despite, having no great dancing skills. A percentage of the Coyotes are really good looking skinny girls, but plenty of average ones as well.

Went to insanity on Friday and Saturday night on first week of January, picked up girl who is born and brought up in Bangkok. Anything replaced the bars, are there any late night places on walk between Nana and Soi 4?

There isn't much in the way of late night food or drink on the south side of Sukhumvit between the Nana BTS station and Soi 4. There are some street vendors on the sidewalk, but they are selling clothing mainly.

But on Soi 4 itself, there are late night options for food and drink. There are two carts selling noodle soup, one on the east side of Soi 4, very close to the intersection with Sukhumvit, and the other right at the entrance to Nana Plaza. Both are open after the bars close and both have small seating areas on the sidewalk. There are also several food carts on the west side of Soi 4, between the entrance to Nana Plaza and Sukhumvit, selling all the usual street food. Finally, there may be one or two food carts farther south on Soi 4. But they are hit and miss.

As for after hours drinking, that's more difficult. But it's possible. Usually there is a guy with a cooler of beer among the food carts on the west side of Soi 4. The Hillary 4 bar officially closes at 2:00 am But recently they have allowed patrons to sit at the seats overlooking the street after that. Some nights a second guy with a cooler of beer arrives about 2:30 and sells to the folks sitting in front of the bar. In fact, the bar quite helpfully allowed people to come inside and use the toilet.

Alright so it turns out my buddy is just as much of a degenerate as I am! Hanoi was fun but low key, and after talking to a bunch of people and all of them saying that Ho Chi Minh City sucks, we decided to cut that part of our trip in favor of another night in Bangkok and Pattaya. YOLO! LOL.

So took an early evening flight in BKK from SIem Reap (For anyone who says that the temples cannot all be hit in one day, we came, we saw, we conquered! Took a taxi to Smart Suites, beers / shower and out to Baccara. There was my 280. My buddy also liked a few upstairs and with hardly anyone out, I thought our chances would be pretty good that they would be there later. Went into a bunch of other gogos SW, Tilac, Shark, Cowboy, but not much. Ended back up at Dollhouse, hoping to see glasses, but neither her nor Ploy were there. Probably for the best! We ordered a bunch of drinks for the waitresses and then left. Wow we lost track of time! Back to Baccara we go, but it felt like NYE again! Barren! I felt bad for my buddy as neither of his girls upstairs were there. Fortunately my 280 was there so I quickly corralled her for a drink. She was noticeably tipsy, but was sweet so I decided to barfine her. She had a friend that was also pretty attractive, but she was a tad cold so my friend passed. My girl changed and she said her friends band was playing at one of the bars nearby. Oh boy not a night of boondoggling please. My buddy actually picked up a freelancer as we were leaving and negotiated something like 3000 long time. My girl grabbed us some chicken and into taxi we go. All I can say is wow those titties! Went into Baccara and what a madhouse! To be expected NYE. I was hoping to see 280 and asked the mamasan if she was working. She sent me 282, who was not my style, but I bought her a drink anyway. Booked a taxi through Nam's Taxi for Pattaya to BKK, what a great service! The last time I booked one last minute with Rose Taxi and the driver was an absolute lunatic. Following a 3 night stay in Pattaya, we will be in Bangkok for 2 nights before moving onto Vietnam! Anyway, got to Smart Suites hotel around 3 and got some food at the Terminal 21 food court. As I did not get much sleep the night before, my buddy made the comment that I was a walking zombie and recommended a nap. Great call!

Woke up some time around 7 and grabbed a burger at Daniel thaiger (a tad overrated but at least they had a good beer selection). Next we headed to a place that I missed during my last visit, Thermae. Pretty easy to find, got a beer and walked around. What a weird place! Not what I was expecting and nothing really caught my eye. Off to Soi Cowboy we go.

Our first stop was Crazy House. 100 baht cover? What the. Well we got a can of silly string at least. Ordered beers and surveyed the talent. Nothing really caught my eye, but damn were there a crap ton of Chinese. My buddy dared me to blast one of them in front of us, so I waited for one of the dancers to bend over close to his head and I got him good. He got up and walked away, alright! Still didn't see any one that made my weenie tingle, but we did see another Chinese guy with glasses all caught up in one of the girls. I used to be a customer of Easy Cart Bar in Soi 21 till it and all the others there were swept out more than a year ago. Some cart bars have a lot of Lady boys. Others do not. One big problem was some girls of insufficient age. One of the girls from Easy Bar went to work in Cowboy 2 bar.

The online guides to Bangkok Nightlife get out of date very quickly and of course are biased to interests of the writer. The ISG will give a wider set of view points for Mongers.

I have used this facility a few times and is really very fast. Takes just a couple of minutes. The line at the regular counters could be pretty frustrating especially when many flights from India, China etc. Land simultaneously. The extra 200 Baht is nothing compared to the torturous wait.

Truer words have never been written. I use this facility without fail and the never ending queues at the regular VoA counters always leave me wondering why more people do not avail of this facility. Is it lack of awareness or just a matter of saving a couple of hundred THB? On the other hand, if everyone started using this facility, its very purpose would stand defeated IMHO.

When you reach VoA area, there is a separate window / section towards the left hand side where express processing service is provided. Usually, there is also staff available there to assist you.
