Guys,

I need your advice.

Recently I signed up for Colombiancupid.com. Almost instantly I got tons of messages. It got overwhelming very fast. I am not the best looking guy, but in a very good shape. So I tried to keep up for a while then decided to narrow down to 3 ladies. They all very hot. Two of them professionals working for big companies and the other one is a student. All of them telling me that they don't want anything to do with Colombian men because none of them want to commit and want to have many women at the same time. I am not sure what makes them think that we are any better. All 3 want to meet and have relationship. I am really confused.

1. Is this some kind of set up?

2. Is it just their culture?

3. Should I even consider meeting them when I am in Bogota or just stick with working girls?

When you first sign up on any dating site you will get tons of messages from hot girls. Most of the messages are from fake accounts used by the dating site. The purpose is to get you to subscribe. In the past I've received messages from the same girl in 3 different countries.

Most of the remaining messages are from people who want to separate you from your money. 99% of the long initial messages are from one of these 2 groups. My estimate may be a little low.

The real Colombians will send a simple "hola. " They will almost never send a message longer than 10 words.

What should you do? Depends on what you are looking for in Bogota. Are you looking for a wife? No? Then why waste your time on someone who is looking for a husband? Are you planning on making frequent trips to Bogota and want a girlfriend who you can spend time with? No? Then why waste your time with girls who are looking for a boyfriend?

Which leaves the working girls. You can find them on Colombian Cupid, on Tinder, on the mileroticos and photosprepagos websites. You can find them on the streets, in the spas, casas or clubs. If you hang out on the right spot, they'll find you.

Well, there's a lot of social and economic diferences in Colmbia. It's logical to think that some specific ladies might be looking for a tourist to get the life they want.

Of course I'm not saying every case is like this. But I think it's a fair guess on why you got ton of messages.

Look, this is going to be my first visit, so I've just been gathering information. I know there are love motels, but I want a freedom to bring someone in at nighton a whim. I was hoping this practice of charging for a guest was not as widespread, so I guess I was wrong. If it's not possible to get into a nice hotel without paying an outrageous "joiner" fee, then I need to focus on an apartment rental. It's just gotten clearer now, so -- thanks!

At http://www.viaggio.com.co double occupancy is 20 000 which is reasonable as breakfast is included for the second guest.

If you are asking if there is an area where foreign mongers hang out then I would say no. The only time I really even see foreigners in Bogota is if I am staying at the Marriott or Courtyard Hotels. In the streets, no. At the malls or clubs, no.

I clearly told them I wanted to book the most expensive room in the house. And they still want me to pay their extortionist $40 fee!

So basically it tells me they don't really give a shit about single or double occupancy. They are trying to do one of 2 things (or both).

1. Discourage punters from bringing working girls to their establishment.

2. Capitalize on it if you do.

This wasn't my first inquiry (although other hotels charge less). It's possible that I might or might not be able sneak a girl in, but honestly, I don't feel like arguing with front desk with a girl in a tow and risking $40 to find out. If anyone can recommend an upscale apartment (preferably with a hot tub) where I won't be bothered with stupid fees, please let me know. Traveling in April, thanks!

Why can't you face that this is just the way things are done in Colombia? It has nothing to do with hookers. I have never brought a hooker to my hotel in Colombia because I mainly deal with normal chicks. The times that I have fucked hookers, I have done it at a place that you can fuck onsite and once with a SW at a love motel in Barranquilla. Still the same rules apply when bringing nonpros, friends, or whoever.

Good luck trying to sneak someone past because in most of the hotels that I know you have to pass the front desk to get to the elevator. Only maybe in the Marriott can you sneak someone in IF the front desk is busy, because the elevators are on the other side and they may not see you come in if they are doing something else.

And they are not going to argue with you. They are just going to put it on your bill for you to pay at checkout as I have found out the hard way a couple of times.

If I remember correctly I believe a US president security staff had issues with this. I believe they objected to the fees and it became quite a public issue.

Things are pretty clear and it's like this in any hotel in Colombia: no problem to bring a girl unless she is minor, has to show ID and there is a different rate for single or double occupancy of the room. There is no difference if it's your wife you know for 30 years or a hooker you met 5 minutes ago. If you don't want to pay the double occupancy, bring the girl during day time or check other hotels which charge the same for single or double occupancy. Colombia is a free country and people respect private life. Don't feel unconfortable for these rules, it's not about morality it's about safety. You don't need to be specific with the hotel and call her "'guest"', which means that you have no sentimental relation with her, in other words that she is a hooker. Just call her "novia"'. There is nothing wrong coming in town, registring alone at your hotel and that the girl friend who lives in town comes and join you later during the night. It doesn't matter if you book double occupancy, claiming that your girl frind will come and register later or register single occupancy and change it later in double occupancy when the gril register herself. There is nothing wrong registring as a single at your hotel, going out, meeting a girl, love at first sight, and bringing her to your hotel room. And it's not of the business of the hotel that each night you have a different girl friend, it's not your fault that you are so popular. You don't owe any explanation at your hotel about your private life and hotel is not allowed to judge if you if your emotional relationship with your girlfriend is sincere or if she is just taking advantage of your financial ressources. Do as they would say in Colombia: "has el gringo'', which means basically do as if you are dump! Why would you care what the employee of the hotel might think about you?

So I ask again: can anyone report that there is a hotel in Colombia where access of an adult chica with ID was denied?

Was all over Santa Fe tonite (Sunday) -- Showing a friend around, there around 6;30 it was really slow on the street.

Hung around had some beers Walked around and by 8 ish there were a lot more girls. Nice action in Fiebre, Paisa, Troya-- But my new favorite club is La Casona-- That is next to Troya on 16 a. You don't need to be specific and call her "'guest"', which means that you have no sentimental relation with her, in other words that she is a hooker. Just call her "novia"'.
