I agree with WS. I always stay at Landmark in Bkk.

I am bemused though by guys like AndyD asking these questions, as it seems to me that they must not have travelled very much, do not know about hotel booking sites online or even the existence of google maps. There are literally 100's of hotels that are"close to the action" if you consider the action to be from Nana right up to Soi Ekkamai.

I prefer to choose my own hotel from the smorgasbord, since a quick read of the FF will tell you that all hotels are GF and each booking site will tell you prices and what you get for your dollar.

Agreed. I would go on Agoda and select my own hotel.

However, I don't consider Landmark to be 4 star, I consider that one to be 5 star. That hotel will cost about $120 a night. If you are going to pay that much, might as well stay at Terminal 21 and have easy access to the mall and soi cowboy. Personally, I don't like to spend that much per night.

Majestic Grande is also near Nana and is only about $75 a night. It's still quite nice. But there are a plethora of choices in Bangkok. You can see them on agoda. Just sort by the ratings and read the reviews, that's a safe bet in picking a good hotel.

Depends on your price range. However two I like are Column for higher class and a bit more expensive (great views) and for a modern hotel cheap price, Mermaid. I also like Mercure Residence Soi 19. I previously liked Admiral Premier.

These are located close enough to bar and MP action for me. When you don't want to walk from Column to an Oily MP, take a motorcycle through the back Sois.

What's up! I booked at dream hotel on Soi 15. It was a good hotel. About 5 minute walk to terminal 21. Its pretty good. If you bring a guest they have to have their ID or passport. I would suggest looking for hotels where they take your guests identification when they come. I've heard too many stories of people getting hurt or having their items stolen.

I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn Sukhumvit Soi11 in a few days.

I stayed here earlier this year. Holiday Inn is girl friendly. I had independent girls text me when they were in the lobby and I went down (the elevator requires your room card to use). Other times the reception called my room and let me know to come down to get my girl. I've also walked in holding hands with a freelancer past reception with no issues.

I've also stayed at the Holiday Inn Sukhumvit 22 and all the same as above.

Hotel Grand Swiss on soi 11 is ideal location, just a couple min. From Nana BTS and has a car park which is free for guests. Rooms are good and breakfast is nice. Totally girl friendly. Staff and service is superb. My favorite hotel. Have stayed there on several occasions.

Just curious. What is the motivation for airbnb? Is it to get a superior condo for a longer period at a good rate? I would not think it is worth the possible hassles for short stays.

I have rented condos at two different places. Once down Soi 15/ Sukhumvit about two years ago. And 4 times with a 5th next month at a Condo on Soi 23. There is a large sign in lobby indicating it is not legal but, to date, I have not had any issues whatsoever. There has not been any issues bringing up a girl. And no such crap about a 2000 bt charge. The guy whom I deal with is kind of the overseer of about four different condos with different owners that he Airbrb manages. I meet him off premises with a transfer of the key. And as you said in your query he says to not a) ask for any kind of help, b) if asked say you are a friend visiting. I have got to know him so, as said to date, no issues.

Grand President has parking. It is in your budget also. Not sure what they charge for parking, however.

Great hotel, the price is always reasonable, rooms are compact but very clean, and very very GF. They have a good sized waiting area and my girls just call or txt me from there and I bring them up on the elevator. Breakfast is included and pretty good. The clientele is mixed and generally quiet, and the receptionists very discreet.
