The night started out great with a good dinner at the English pub on Soi 4 opposite Hillary. After that, I remembered a post by Monkeypaw about a hot girl from a bar named Heidelberg. It is just a few doors down from Hillary. As I arrived, there were no girls sitting outside, no girls inside, and only a few old men siting inside. I asked the waitress if there were ever any girls working there and she replied never. We are only a restaurant and hotel. I confirmed and even mentioned about my friend. She replied that the boss did not like the idea of freelancers hanging around and never ever allowed it.

I then moved on to Nana Plaza. First, after sticking my head into the usual haunts and. Not seeing anything worthwhile, I went into Billboard. A huge selection of girls on both the normal stage and on the jacuzzi side. On this night however, the quality was just not to my liking. I really wanted to get laid so I chose number 48. A very cute little spinner with a great petit body and dark tanned skin. Not my normal style but I was game. Invited her down for a drink. Was cohersed into the normal 2 drinks you must buy when you request a lady who is already dancing. Alas, when she arrived, there was absolutely no chemistry at all and after she finished her drinks, I cut her loose. A clear sign of a bad session.

Then I moved onto twisters. I looked in and there were a lot of girls on both stages but the club was rammed with customers so I didn't stay.

OK, so I decided I will go back to butterflies after my good experience from before. Saw my previous little spinner but I think after the good pounding I gave her before, she prefers Asian customers as she didn't even look my way. The selection and quality of young girls there was excellent again. After ordering my beer, I asked a waitress to call over a real cute spinner from the jacuzzi side. Here's where things started to go downhill. The waitress said you must buy two drinks for her. I said I already know and that was fine. Then she asked me again. I said in Thai Mai pen rai, which means no problem. Then she went to the stage and spoke to the girl. After that, again with the question about 2 lady drinks. I said again, I understand. Finally, the girl came over, got her drinks and sat down. We had some good chit chat and then I asked her if she wanted another drink and she said, I will go to the toilet and be right back. When she returned I said what would you like to drink? She said she has to go dance. I said but we are drinking together and how many more drinks would you like? I'm ok to buy them. I offered 6 all at the same time. She just stood up and walked away. At this point, I was furious and she was obviously just trying to get a couple of extra Last drinks and then go back to another customer. Low and behold, as I insisted to talk with the manager, I was told she had already agreed to go with another customer and bar fine. Confirmed dirt bag move by the girl and the waitress. Hence the many questions about two lady drinks. After that, I just paid my bill and left. I debated about not paying for her two drinks but decided it was not worth the trouble.

At that point, it started to rain heavily so I decided to exit Nana Plaza and head to Hillary. The rain was so hard that I stopped under the umbrella where the security were sitting out front of Nana Plaza to think for a few minutes on where to go. One young security guard out of the 4 that were there, motioned his hand at me in a very impolite manner and waved me to move on. I said in Thai, why are you so impolite? He just laughed at me and waved me out again. At this point I was furious and started yelling at him. To make a long story short, the other three big guys came to his aide and I ended up having to leave with a half assed apology from this little kid. The three big guys started pushing me out and there was nothing else I could do.

So what's the morrow of this story? You will have good and bad nights out mongering and one bad night does not always mean the location is always that way. Just last week, I had a great time. Also it may be beneficial to have the lady commit to a barfine before buying drinks for her. I'm normally very good at spotting this game but this night was a little strange. Anyways, I hope this helps someone else who is planning a night out in Nana. It can happen to anyone of us. Even the experienced.

Been away for a while, during my last visit to BKK, much surprise at NEP, there seems to be a reshuffle as to the venue of some est such as Rainbow 4 etc. Also was quoted LT at 6500 to 7000 BHT. I wonder if there is any inflation around that place as normally in the past LT at BHT 4500 and ST at BHT 2500 marked, any update info on the on going rate as well as BF of the club?

I did most bars along the street, but only met below average looking girls.

I finally picked up a not too bad looking girl who's sat at the corner of Soi 4 and Nana City hotel (she's there every day), name Kan (I guess), paid 2000 short time for a pretty good fuck.

Daytime better relay on Thai friendly. Bar or gogo girls being at home looking for some extra and of "night" quality.

Bearing in mind the night hawks can't stsnd on the street 20 hrs a day.

20 should sound like Ta-wen-tee and 70 should sound like Se-wen-tee. S sound on start of a syllable is quite normal in Thai language so I do not really understand why they would stumble on it.

I don't know why either. But many times the word "70" does not start with a clean and clear "s" when they say "70" in English. Like maybe they are tempted to say "jet sib" and out comes a "j" or hard "ch" sound that comes close enough to a "t" to fool the native English speaker's ear into thinking the word is "20", especially when it is followed by "wen-ty" instead of "venty". But even when I am aware and prepared for the possibility, that word "seventy" still sounds for all the world to be "tehwenty".

However, that would not exactly account for what the Erotica go-go bar doorman was up to when the customer asked for further confirmation by indicating "1-2-zero?" But by then I assume the doorman did what most Thai service people do and just zone out and start thinking how he is going to master that Candy Crush game as soon as he gets to his smartphone.

I am currently in Sa Paulo, Brazil, after spending 10 days in Colombia. I can tell you that the service you get locally is far superior to what you get overseas from these girls. I had a couple of Colombian girls at the FKKs over the years, and the service was way below par. That is because typically only hardcore girls go overseas to work, and they are more focused on making money than giving good service. I like Colombian girls. Besides the FKKs, you may find them in Hong Kong, Singapore, and China. I don't know about Thailand.

They also not look much for repeat customers anyhow.

In FKK there is a rotation, in Asia, too as they travel the circuit. Their customer base comes and goes and it is unlinkely the same customer calls them for a repeat during the course of their stay.

They mainly sort out a hitch.

Seriously. It happens at the cinema snack bars, the restaurants, the malls, everywhere. It is not a trick or a scam. There is just something about the way a native Thai speaker says "70" in English that sounds like they are saying "20" to us. They stumble over the "s", it come out sounding like a "t", the "v" comes out as a "w" (typical in Thai speaking) and then they separate the syllables and emphasize them in a way we native English speakers don't expect to hear in the word "70".

It comes out as "teh-wen-ty" (70), which a native English speaker would assume is the way a non native English speaker might say "20", right?

I probably rarely experience these things since I would only ever ask the price in Thai language, but for sure I get confused if they answer in English. I understand Thai a lot better than Thais speaking poor English.

I have a great of problem hearing a difference between 15 and 50 from Thais. They most certainly cannot say "The sixth sick Shiek's sixth sheep is sick" or even get remotely close, let alone say it fast. "x", "ks", and "th" don't exist in Thai sounds, and "xth" is quite ridiculous.

Thais sometimes have difficulty picking the difference between my 21 and 28 in Thai.

21 is "Yee-sip et" and 28 is "Yee-sip Bpaet" (tones do not differ). I have to make sure I say the last syllable very distinctly, as obviously my accent is having some effect. The later has a much wider open mouth as well has having the beginning consonant and a long vowel instead of short, so the two do not seem at all similar. Perhaps I fail to close my mouth sufficiently on "Et" and make it short enough and separate it from the "p" on the end of "sip". So I can see where the problem lies, and make an effort to be extra distinct and clear. American drawl would make it even worse (fortunately I am not American with exaggerated long vowel sounds). Americans speaking Thai can sound so funny with drawl effects. Hopefully some American speakers can reduce or eliminate that.

I like bars where girls pay no attention to me until I give them the signal. LOL

Yesterday I went to Nana Plaza to one of my favourite bars there. It's Erotica. It's on the left side between the second and third floor in the corner. Chang beer were 95 Baht the last years. I asked the guy at the door if it's still 95 but he said no, now it's 120 Baht. It's still a good price so I asked again. One two zero Baht? He confirmed. I went inside and ordered a chang. I didn't check the bill (big mistake). After a while I paid a lady drink and another chang for me. I wasn't in the mood for the girl and asked for the bill. It comes with 510 Baht! Chang 170 Baht. I asked why 170 the guy said 120. She just said, no it's 170. I went to mamasan and asked her about the bill. She said the boys outside don't speak good English. It must be a misunderstanding, chang is 170. How can it be a misunderstanding? I asked twice. I paid the bill and left. After about an hour I came back and asked another guy at the door about the price. He also said 120 Baht. So for me it's getting people inside the bar by telling them a cheaper price. Rip off. Be careful if you go there or better don't go there at all. I will not.

By the way. LD 170, barfine 700, room 350 and the girl 2500 for short time. That 's at least what they said.

Btw, I am not a big fan of Erotica go-go bar because the girls in there rarely paid any attention to me, a farang, once I sat down and bought a drink. I can't say I have ever been in Erotica. I don't remember it.

Yes its a big mistake to ask anyone outside the bar or even talk to them. We hear reports of scams in the ladyboy bars as well, and the Arab's bars in Soi cowboy (Kiss, Sahara, Deja Vu, Midnite, Spice Girls, Rio) are now not to be visited unless you want to meet the Thai bouncers after getting an inflated bill.

Stay with the recommended bars. I always check my bill in any bar I am not used to, especially after ordering the first drink. Many bars will show you a menu of prices for drinks.

Had some things to do in Bangkok on Friday, so took the BTS up from home, and decided to stay the weekend.

Friday night I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 2 am, but it was kind of fun to walk around Soi 4 at that time (and later) and see all of the offers thrown my way. I was really still half asleep, and hadn't planned on partaking, but this cute little gal from Pattaya made me an offer I couldn't say no to.

If you're pretty cute, have a nice little body (doesn't have to be perfect), have your hand up my shorts, and I'm STILL fighting off the urge to go with you, well: offering 1000 Baht (room price included) will certainly sway my decision making. I got her name, but forgot to put it in my phone, didn't get her LINE, but I was going to meet up with her the next night, but she said she was going back to Pattaya. I said, maybe I'll see you down there one weekend. And then failed to get any contact info.

Saturday night, after a busy day, I decided to just go hang in some of the clubs, have a few drinks and observe. I was again, really impressed with BUTTERFLIES. The place was very upbeat, well lit, and they had a young, attractive group of ladies there, all in day glo bikini's (someone is making some good decision's in this place). And really, an extra point for the place in that the number of girls eye Fkking me from stage was better than at any other place I went to that night. I like this club.

I then realized there were bars in Nana I had never been in before. WELL known go go bars, and I figured now would be a good time to check them out. Twister Bar I went into for the first time and even though the selection I thought was only fair (#921 had a sweet little body, cute face, and hot ass), the place had a decent crowd partying and having fun. I need to explore more often!

Rainbow 4, I had never been in! Now they had a decent selection of ladies. A few I thought were very much worthy, AND they had a rockin' crowd. I had no idea! Before Butterflies, I had stopped in Mandarin and whatever the one is to the left of it that goes upstairs. I just pretended I was looking for someone, because I didn't want to even stay and have a water.

I spent the longest time at Billboard (naturally), partly so I could Shazam the DJ's playlist for some cool remixes, though he wasn't really doing any real mixing, just playing popular stuff and slamming them back to back. Not a slag to him, the crowd was enjoying the music, it just wasn't like at Baccara, where they're actually mixing and matching beats, and no one is paying any attention except my goofy ass. Just sayin'.

Anyway, Billboard had some good eye candy. In particular, a guy sitting near me had #39. She has kind of a square jaw or something, still pretty, for sure, and maybe a little larger boob job than necessary (who am I to say? But man, what a hot, flawless body. Smokin' hot. He left with her after a few rounds of drinks and grinding.

I saw #54 each time it was her turn to go onstage, with a tall, slender body and a perfect ass, but she'd never be there when the stage would come around for a second showing. I couldn't see where or who she was sitting with, or if it was even the same guy buying her down, but she would literally last one rotation on stage each time. Pretty sure she was a smaller boob size (always looking at that ass and then. Boom. Gone), but still very hot.

Bangkok Bunnies, I went through. The waitresses drive me nuts there. Saw Margie, to me, the hottest gal in Nana, but she was busy with someone and didn't get a chance to talk. I need to see her again for sure one of these nights. Lollipop has some ok girls, for such a small club, though I'm pretty sure I see a Post-op in there on stage, that I used to have a few drinks with. Hmmm. Anyway, that's about it. Got mauled by a few Ladyboys on the way home, appreciate the attention, but went home alone, not much else to report.

Do they exist in BKK? I was doing some research and I came across names of 2 clubs that supposedly had South American ladies (Columbian) but both those clubs have now shut down. So does anyone know if there is any club / bar in BKK where one can find Columbian or Brazilian ladies? I did RTFF but couldn't find anything. I'll be in BKK this coming weekend to fuck my Uzbek lady friend for 3 days but wouldn't mind trying someone else on the side.

Thanks for the report. I am surprised Som was there. She has not been present the last few times I stopped by and other previous Som's Haven regulars have been saying the same. And, hate to say it, but I think you made the right move in ignoring Som's high recommendation for that or any other girl in the place these days. I would not have said that 3-4 years ago when she used to be very good at steering me towards some of the best providers I have ever experienced in a BJ Bar. Then she would say something in Thai to the girl as we started to go upstairs and, whatever it was, those earlier Som's Haven girls she recommended to me really delivered the goods beyond expectations.

But that took a turn at some point and, frankly, her recommendations over the past 2-3 years turned out to be some of the worst I have ever experienced. Not that she purposely tries to pawn off the worst, least popular (deservedly so) providers onto whoever is ready to choose. I just think she no longer has a clue or cares which ones are good, bad or indifferent, what they do upstairs, whether they get enthusiastic repeat customers or what the repercussions might be if the customer is not well taken care of. Consequently, I have only taken 1-2 girls there over the past couple of years. I have stopped in to have a drink and say hi to Som, who is now rarely there. But I am no longer inspired to take a girl upstairs very often.

I think she has lost interest in personally running the business because she doesn't have to. She can make just as much money off of her girls as any repeat customer. I doubt there is a single lady in a given month that has not paid 1000's of baht for a sick day, family emergency or even being a few minutes late (note the time clock behind the bar). I understand the need to demand some discipline in your work force to run a successful business but I would guess that some of the poor performance is due to the lady being sick and not able to afford a day off. I'm sure this is why she has such a large staff. No cost at all to her and the opportunity to make money when they service a customer or need to take time off. That said there are a few hard working ladies there so I still like to visit on occasion and I am quite satisfied with the service.

You just need to weed through all the people. I myself have had great times in there. One in particular which ended with BBFS CIP with an extremely attractive girl. Damage was 3,000 for 2 hours. I could have gotten it for 2,500 but I never see the point of haggling over 500 Baht. It normally makes the session go much smoother.

Admittedly I was only there once. But I never did like the Old Insanity either so perhaps this is why I was so quick to judge. Maybe worth another look. Though I think next time in BKK I will probably stay in Patpong and focus on the gogos there.
